This is a reasonably priced and drinkable matcha powder that is good for making fun boba drinks and lattes as well as cookies, cheesecakes, pound cakes, and glazes. It has a pretty bright green color that indicates its high quality. Unlike the ceremonial grade matcha powder that I get as a birthday gift/special treat, this matcha has a strong bitter note that makes it not as enjoyable to drink alone but nicely complimentary to whatever sweeteners and other flavors are added, which is what a culinary grade matcha powder should be. It also sifts nicely without clumping when I whisk it.

Wonderful product! The quality is top notch, the flavor is delicious- I was never much of a matcha drinker, but I am now.Love that it is plain, so the sweetness level can be completely customized to the drinker's taste in the moment. Great with a dollop of honey or a dash of pure maple syrup.

This matcha is really better used for cooking than for drinks. It is good quality matcha, but it has an undesirable aftertaste if you use it in drinks. Why use it in drinks? B/c it's basically "culinary" grade matcha, instead of the super premium ceremonial grade, so it should still taste good in drinks, and from all i've read about matcha, culinary grade is still supposed to taste good. I would buy this again if i was going to cook with it, but for drinking i'm just gonna spend the extra money for the ceremonial grade.
