Many unproven ingredients not in original
I ordered these because the price was better than the name brand version which i have been taking for years...While i appreciate the additional nutrients and supplements in these, they definitely have a horrible odor and taste and some of the extracts perhaps flax seed make them seem "fishy' and upsetting the stomach. Wanted to like these but the original has no odor and causes no upset, so back to those even at the higher price.

I have been using this AREDS 2 vitamin formula for several years because it has high quality ingredients and is made in the USA. I've never had a bad reaction to it. I don't know whether any supplement provides all the health benefits claimed so I can't say whether it's effective or not. But my eye doctor recommended eye vitamins to slow down macular degeneration more than 10 years ago and so far I can still see.
