YL08 Ultralight Camping Chair — Only 2.12 LBS, Anti-Sinking Feet

Favorite backpacking chairs ever!!! (And we have tried A LOT). We are always on the lookout for lightweight but comfortable chairs to take backpacking, and these are sturdy but light. These ones are so dang easy to set up, as well as fold up and put away. I also LOVE the handle on each side of the bag so you can slide it on the chair legs before you of the fabric top on, and also attach it securely to your backpack. They are more sturdy than the other 4 brands of backpacking chairs we had on our backpacking trip this weekend- they don’t feel like they’re going to tip over or crumble beneath you. The fabric top is easy to put on, unlike some other kinds where it’s like pulling teeth trying to get all four corners on. These ones are so easy that my small children can do it. They are also the most wide and comfortable to sit in- we had people from 60 to 220 lbs sit on them with no problem!

I’m really happy with this chair. It’s compact, lightweight, and surprisingly sturdy for its size. The frame feels solid, and the seat is comfortable enough to relax in for quite a while. I was also impressed with how stable it is. Even though it’s an ultralight chair, it doesn’t feel flimsy or wobbly. The quality of the materials and overall construction exceeded my expectations. Another thing I really like is how small it packs down. It fits into a compact carrying bag, so it’s easy to keep in the car or take camping, to the beach, parks, outdoor concerts, or sporting events without taking up much space. As a bonus, it looks great too. My kids loved it the moment they saw it and even wanted to sit in it before I had a chance! Overall, it’s an excellent combination of comfort, portability, and quality. I would definitely buy it again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight camping chair.

Thoroughly impressed with this chair given the price and the overall weight. Yes, the weight is as advertised. This chair is extremely light weight and packs down into a very nice and easily packable sack that easily would fit in any backpack or tuck away in a garage if it were to be used for yard seating for guests. I've included a picture of me holding the chair directly out in front of me with just a few fingers to really emphasize just how wonderfully light this seat is. Despite the weight and compact packing size, the seat itself is very comfortable with a deep seating position that really makes you feel like you're in the chair rather than precariously sitting on top of it like some super compact camping chairs. Some folks have mentioned that this chair is difficult to assemble which is hard to believe given the bungee cord that holds all the limbs together. The thing nearly assembles itself as soon as you take it out of the bag. The only thing you need to put a little effort in is to stretch the fabric around the frame which does require some pulling, but anyone aside from a small child or someone very elderly should have no problem with it. They built in some pull tabs to help with the task of stretching out the fabric which makes it a breeze. It's also very much worth noting that the chair came with wider ball-style feed which you can swap out if you're sitting on looser ground like sand or gravel. This is a HUGE plus as I have so many chairs that just sink right into the beach where this chair anchors itself really well. Great for the beach. The fabric quality seems top notch with no stray threads or obvious weak points for tearing. It's already been camped with once and used as yard guest seating with great results. For this price point I really don't think there's a better outdoor chair.

Great for backpacking and tent campers. Sits a little low but pretty comfortable. Getting this put together is easy but if you lack hand strength be prepared to battle the fabric to get it over the ends, which seem a bit under-engineered. But once set up pure luxury compared to sitting on a log or sit pad. Pretty stable and resists sinking thanks to the feet. Durability is pretty good considering how light and compact this chair is.

They listened to the feedback and now this chair has reinforced pole holders, now the pockets have thick rubber backing so the poles dont wear through like in some of the old reviews!! This chair is great, comfy, easy to setup, lightweight, durable. The additional balls for feet included are great for loose soils, i use it on the sand at the beach and it doesn't sink in. This is a quality low price alternative to the higher priced folding camp chairs such as at REI.

This is the first compact backpacking chair I've actually owned and taken on trips, although I've tried some of the more expensive options from brands like NEMO and Helinox in person at REI. Surprisingly, I think this Naturehike chair is the most comfortable of the ones I've tried so far. I'm about 5'8" and 190 lbs, and something about the proportions of this chair works extremely well for me. I'm not sure whether it's the curve of the seat, the height of the backrest, or a combination of the two, but I find it exceptionally comfortable. I like it enough that I sometimes use it around the house rather than limiting it to camping. It certainly isn't as light as some of the more expensive ultralight chairs, and there are a few other places where weight could potentially be saved. The included carrying case, for example, is made from a fairly thick material. These details probably won't matter much for car camping, but they're worth considering if you're counting every ounce while backpacking. Personally, I think the comfort is worth carrying the extra weight. The anti-sinking feet have also worked well on softer ground. My one complaint is that they fit extremely tightly over the original rubber feet. When I tried removing them, the rubber feet started coming off with them, so I've ended up leaving the larger feet attached permanently. This adds some weight when I don't need the extra surface area, and the holes in the feet make them a little more annoying to rinse clean after using the chair in mud. After around three months of fairly regular use, I haven't encountered any durability problems. The chair has held up well and remains comfortable. Overall, I'm very happy with it. There are lighter options available if minimizing weight is the top priority, but for me, the comfort makes the additional weight worthwhile. For car camping, I'd have even fewer reservations about recommending it.

i purchased this back in March 26'. It was used for about 10 times. weight i light, packing size is compact, and assembly and breakdown is FAST. that being said.... one of the holders for the rod you stick the fabric over.....one of them blew out, so now, my great chair is now unusable. Hopefully NatureHike will reinforce the rod holders, especially the seat back holders. the lower rating is how soon the fabric blew out. other than that, i loved this chair.

Handy and sturdy. I needed a light weight chair for baseball/softball games for my kids. I wanted something that was small enough to pack in a tote that I carry along with my small umbrellas and blanket. This chair is incredibly compact and super simple to put together. My daughter loves it as well. I love that it’s super lightweight, well-made, and easy to carry around. I have it assembled in less than a minute and taken down just as easy. I’ve had a lot of positive comments from other people.l on how simple it is. Pretty low to the ground.

I don't normally write reviews, but this chair deserves it! When I started to open the bag that contains the parts, I started worrying a little bit that I made a mistake in purchasing this folding chair. But that feeling subsided very quickly when I started to assemble it! The materials are very good, sturdy, and solid. Initially, when I started to assemble the frame, I thought it was going to be wobbly. But when I attached the seating cloth, it became a nice strong chair! I was really surprised such a small package could produce such a nice, comfortable chair! The cloth is attached to the frame at the corners. The corners are reinforced with a leather socket (where the frame goes in) and the cloth itself is also reinforced in the entire corner. Just like the product pictures show! The ends of the legs, to prevent sinking into the ground, are separate parts. You could leave them off if you are on solid ground. If you leave them off, the legs still have a nice soft plastic/rubber foot, to prevent scratching the floor. One thing that older people may need to take into account, is that the seat is very low. When you sit down in it, your bottom is lower than your knees. So you do need some upper leg strength to get up. The side arms of the seat are strong enough to support you somewhat, but they can't hold someone's full weight. If you sit in the chair with your legs stretched out to the front, you can actually, without tipping over backwards, lean back and relax. However, if your feet are pulled towards you, under your knees / under the front of the chair, you WILL tip over backwards when leaning backwards! So, just always be careful when leaning back and everything will be alright! :) It is EXTREMELY lightweight and easily goes into or onto a backpack! All in all, for me personally, this is the PERFECT portable chair! Especially for fishing! I can easily & quickly break it down into a very small size, store it in the included bag, and transport it to the next position. There I can reassemble it, also very quickly, and continue fishing.

As a car camper with an old Honda CRV, I'm always trying to find ways to downsize my gear. My old camping chair was easily one of the bulkiest things in my kit when packed away. I'd been looking at budget-friendly lightweight chairs for a while and kept coming back to the Naturehike YL08. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical with the brand, but after seeing several YouTubers give it a good write-up for the quality, I decided to take a chance. I went for the plain black version, which suits me perfectly. It arrived on time, in good condition, and now that I actually have it in my hands, the price feels very fair (there were no Amazon offers on the item at the time of purchase). Assembly: I'd seen a few comments complaining that the chair is a pain to put together. The frame itself is quick and intuitive—it basically assembles on its own. As for getting the canvas cover onto the frame? It really isn't a big deal. You have to use a little bit of force, but it's definitely not a wrestling match. I found that putting the front two seat corners on first, and then doing the two longer back poles, worked perfectly. The longer aluminum alloy poles give you just enough flex to maneuver the ends into the pockets. Speaking of the small pole insert pockets, a big selling point for me was the reinforced corners, which are strengthened with a layer of rubber-like material and heavy-duty stitching. I've watched reviews for other 600D Oxford fabric chairs where the poles eventually ripped right through the fabric because they weren't reinforced, so I'm glad Naturehike didn't skimp on this one. Comfort & Features: I'm 6ft and about 13.5 stone, and the chair is very comfortable and easily holds my weight. It feels sturdy for its size. It doesn't have armrests or cup holders, but if you're looking at this type of chair, these are probably not required features. There's a little bit of flex and movement when you sit in it, but nothing that feels weak or makes you think it's about to collapse. It's a smaller chair, of course, but it's actually more comfortable and looks a lot better than my old camping chair. Mine came with the zipped carry bag rather than the drawstring one. Everything fits back into it easily, and the whole package is barely bigger than a toiletries bag. The included detachable anti-sinking feet are another great bonus. So far, I've just unpacked it, assembled it, sat in it at home, and packed it away again, but I'm really happy with it. Will it hold up months down the line? I don't see why not based on the initial quality. It's going to take up a fraction of the space in the CRV, and it's light enough to throw in a backpack for a hike (you can get lighter chairs, sure, but you'll pay three times the price). Looking forward to using it when I next head out.
