Dr. Harvey's Kidney Health Support Supplement for Dogs

I am thrilled to have discovered Dr Harvey's! When my beloved Catahoula, Clarke, had elevated kidney enzymes show in his last old man routine blood work, I immediately started researching how to help prevent further increases. I own and operate a pet care company and I knew that prescription food was never going to be an option for any of my kids! view animal prescription diets in the same way I view many human pharmaceuticals where your veterinarian gets a commission from the product and therefore encourages usage when the reality is that most of those foods create a variety of secondary issues from all of the crap that is in them. Read a label sometime and you will be shocked at the bounty of ingredients that you can't even begin to pronounce. I have always found that for any dietary need you can find an alternative to a prescription diet that is far more healthy for your fur babes. Clarke's enzymes were elevated but he had not crossed the line into kidney disease, knock on wood. I came across this supplement by Dr Harvey's and based on the ingredients and amazing reviews I decided it was the one for my boy. He is on his 4th container now and although I haven't done any repeat blood work, his water intake has drastically reduced, which is an awesome and telling sign! The micro-powdered supplement gets added to his food twice daily (I also changed his feeding guidelines to be more kidney friendly) and from the moment I opened the 1st canister I was impressed by the consistency and the delicious smell! I have used Eastern medicine for years and this supplement reminds me very much one of those tried & true food, three thousand-year-old specialty blends. One container lasts us about 15 days, which may seem costly, but Clarke is more than worth it and I can actually SEE the results! I would wholeheartedly recommend the supplement to anybody who needs a little extra protection for their dogs kidneys!! Dr Harvey's seems to have their head and her heart in the right place and based on my positive experiences I have also started feeding Clarke and his brother their Canine Health dehydrated food base, which looks absolutely amazing but that is for another review! Lastly, you will notice that in my review I never use the word "pet". I'm not a huge fan of the concept of us "owning" animals and I noticed immediately that Dr. Harvey's shares the same attitude. Not once in there literature did I read the word "pet". It might sound silly but it tells me that their approach to companion animal care is one that puts the animals first and that they believe in the relationships that we share with our animal friends. That is okay in my book! Thanks for the great products, Doctor Harvey's! I look forward to trying some of your other blends at some point!

I waited for my dogs bloodwork so I could write this review. My dog is 11 and mixed breed. She had early signs of kidney problems. I was so devastated! I researched the food that her vet prescribed and was disappointed with the ingredients and reviews. I needed something that would help my dog’s health. I needed something that had positive reviews by hundreds not just a handful of people. I came across Dr. Harvey’s brand. I love that it’s all natural ingredients and all the positive feedback by actual users. I decided to give it a try. I bought the Canine Health food and the Kidney Health powder. I followed the feeding guide for my dogs weight. Sprinkle the kidney powder on her food, boil chicken or steak and mix it into the food. She devours her dinner!!! After 2 months of her eating the food and kidney powder, her kidney functions are almost back to normal!!! 5 out of the 6 focus areas are back to normal!! She lost some weight, which the vet suggested she do and has so much energy!! Her vet and all the vet assistants were so shocked to see her results and asked what I was feeding her. I told them it was Dr Harvey’s! They’ve never seen results change so significantly! I am so Grateful and Happy that I found Dr. Harvey’s!! My dog is my everything and I will continue to use and suggest this product to anyone!!!

My husky mix was diagnosed with Stage 2 Kidney Disease in the summer of 2024 at the age of 13. I was devastated. My neighbor suggested this supplement, I figured why not, couldn't hurt. The next vet visit she tested normal for all of her kidney function; her KD has reversed, she's had 4 blood panels since her first diagnosis, her numbers are still great. I don't even give her the recommended amount, just a half scoop once a day. She turns 15 tomorrow, couldn't be more pleased with this product. In fact, I just ordered their joint supplement hoping for equally good results. Every day is a gift at this point.

The supplement is a game changer for dogs with kidney issues. Helps our dog to stay healthy and have strong kidneys!

I was hesitant on this purchase because some reviews leaned in the direction of , "My Dog didn't like it." Well, I am glad to say, my girl liked it. On the other hand my other dog wouldn't touch her bowl when I tested to see if she would eat it mixed in. This dog eats anything but she sniffed her bowl and walked away. Good thing the Kidney Support Supplement was not purchased for her. I purchased a second tub and when complete, I will take my girl into the Vet to see if her kidney numbers improved. That will be the real test of Dr. Harvey's Kidney Health Kidney Support Supplement. I will update this post with the results. I hope it works.

This product works! My dog was suffering. It helped her come back to life literally. She was suffering and couldn’t eat, within a couple days. She was 80% better.

Dog wouldn't have anything to do with this - no matter how I tried to incorporate it. BEWARE - you cannot return this! Amazon should insist that "Dr. Harvey" take returns. At least I can warn others! I usually check to see if a new item I am trying for my dogs is returnable before I purchase...unfortunately for me, in my quest to help one of my dogs with kidney issues, I just ordered. UGH.

The ingredients are good and it may be effective, but neither of my CKD dogs will eat it.

The supplement came in good condition. Previously bought from another seller and the powder didnt appear to be fresh. Realize how seller store the product is very important. My dog’s regular supplement for the past one over years as she’s on various medications and supplements.

we changed over to this hoping to maintain my senior dog’s degenerative kidney values from going up. after using it for 6mth, we went for his routine check and was please to find out that his kidney values are back to normal! highly recommend this!

The dogs did not like the smell and taste so it was not used at all.
