MeacoFan Sefte® 10" Pedestal Air Circulator Quiet Cooling Bedroom Fan

Well it was expensive. But they are virtually unobtainable in a hot summer and so I think I paid well over the odds from Amazon via a fulfilment supplier. BUT, it is very good and was worth it. Quiet, powerful and infinitely adjustable. The only better alternative would be a portable air conditioner; probably not justifiable - a lot more to go wrong. But we'll keep the issue under review...

Great fan, quiet and effective! Good design, with magnetic remote that sticks to the front and useful features including the height changes by removing each part of the stem. Only slight downside is that it’s not great at pointing any lower than direct 90 degrees, so angling down (say onto pet beds etc) is difficult. Otherwise, exactly what you need in the heat!

Wish I had bought this sooner! It’s powerful,very quiet and versatile. I use it as the pedestal in the bedroom and as a table fan downstairs. The remote control is easy to use even in the dark and the magnetic middle of the fan is ideal storage ( if you remember to put it there ). I easily fall asleep with it on a number 10 setting it’s that quiet. I like that you can mute the sound and turn the display off. So pleased with this fan it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Arrived well packaged Very easy to assemble Great it has vertical and horizontal oscillation, and a remote. For a light sleeper - the quiet speed is very quiet but still enough to be felt thoroughly. Removed 1 star because: A) at that price you should include the storage bag and not expect us to dish out a further £25 - too excessive! B) The magnetic remote that attaches to the centre of the fan is very weak and drops off at every opportunity so making that feature useless and gimmicky. Those points aside Im happy with the fan and have already ordered one for my 87 mother And would be happy to recommend to you too.

This is a high quality machine with a large number of settings for the fan speed and sweeps both vertical and horizontal. I do not like AC but this fan makes the use of AC uneccessary. It also has a variable height pillar meaning that you can get the effect of the fan where you need it either for standing, siting in a chair or lying on a bed. It also has a remote for managing all these controls which contains an on-off switch. Finally at slow speeds it is almost inaudible.

Meaco fans get a lot of hype and praise so eventually I caved and bought this, which at the time seems to be their hero product. It is pricey for a fan but I was drawn to the design and the promise of it being both powerful and very quiet. It delivers on both design and quietness but I was hoping for a bit more power. If you crank this up to max settings and have it blowing directly on you, you will stay cool and in fact I only usually have it set as high as 7 (of 12) to balance power and sound. In circulation mode, I haven't found it to be very effective at cooling a room. At least not according to it's own thermometer but it does make a nice breeze. The modularity is great, it's easy to remove the poles to adjust how tall you want it to be and I love the design of this. When all snapped in to place it feels like one piece. It's heavy enough to feel premium but light enough to carry around the house. I wouldn't be without this especially during the summer and it does seem to be very energy efficient. I can't really detect much of a difference in my power consumption when it's on all day. The beeping sound is a bit of an annoyance, you can turn it off via the remote but if you unplug it, the sound will be back. A summer essential in my opinion and I would buy one again.

I already have one of these fans which I love, hence why I wanted to invest in another. When I received it unfortunately it was faulty (which happens, I understand that), so I requested a return the same day. I can honestly say the customer service is awful. It takes the seller an age to respond to any communications, and I am still here two weeks later, with a duff fan I can’t use. I’ve sent further messages requesting a response from them but so far had nothing back. These fans are great - if they work. If they don’t, arranging a return is about as fun as this heatwave.

This fan is quiet and powerful, cools the whole room down on hot days. Easy to assemble just need practice with the controls to it for it to work optimally. Brilliant Fan.

Absolutely fantastic fan (pun unintended) It's everything all the other 5 star reviewers said. I wasn't expecting delivery to be so fast but less than a week and so well packaged. Absolutely foolproof assembly and really sturdy construction. The actual fan itself is everything that anyone could want it to be and to do.
