DGL is one of my favorite Supplements. It’s like eating licorice but it fixes everything from your throat down to your colon and everything in between through your digestive system. You do not need to take Tums or drugs for anything from an ulcer to diarrhea to acid reflux this is all you need.

Helped stop my acid reflux, so I can’t complain. Chewables are a bit more effective, but I took these as well.

Purchased capsules by accident. Do not work nearly as well as chewable. Takes too long to dissolve and help.

I’ve known the taste of DGL for around 40 years. My father had an ulcer and used DGL for a long time. A regionally well-known DGL was purchased for years by a cola company from our area to use in their formula, since the main ingredient is licorice root. I bought this product to reduce or eliminate my esophageal sensitivity. Swallowing the capsule whole wouldn’t have helped me much, so I opened it up and took the powdered form inside, and I experienced exactly the original licorice taste. This gave me confidence in the brand. I chose this method after realizing that the chewable tablets have a very low concentration.

I opened the capsule to sprinkle contents in my mouth and it tastes nothing like licorice root that I have purchased in the past. I am also experiencing acid reflux even with taking prior to drinking my coffee. I am now questioning the ingredients in this product and wonder if it’s a quality DGL product.
