Greenworks 80V 8 in Cordless Electric Lawn Edger, Tool Only

This edger has made lawn maintenance much easier. It has plenty of power, cuts clean, crisp edges, and handles tougher areas without any problems. The build quality is excellent, it's easy to use, and the battery performance has been impressive. Highly recommended!

I was amazed at the power of this edger. Due to health issues we couldn’t give our lawn adequate attention. It hadn’t been edged in over a year. This edger cut thru the heavy overgrown grass. Maintaining the edging now is a breeze. It uses the same 80 volt battery as my blower👍. The only negative is there is no edge guide, but once I got used to it, it’s not really needed.

WOW! I bought a new house a couple of months ago, and the landscaping company overlapped the edge of the driveway with the sod. I've bee trying to trim it back with my string trimmer, but the results were less than desirable. I got my new edger today, and I am astonished at the results! ruler straight edging, 2 1/2" deep and 1/4" wide. PERFECT! . . . and the whole front yard took less than 10 minutes! The edger is very powerful - it easily cut through the sod, deep into the dirt underneath leaving a nice clean edge. My neighbor has a lawncare company, and he was watching me. He came over and said he was going to get one for his jobs, as it is much faster and easier to use.

Cannot edge centipede grass in N.W. Florida. Skips over the grass on the edge of sidewalk. Blade not sharp enough. Very heavy when the battery is installed. Very hard to hold and control. Length is much to long. Good for young, strong person, but seniors will not be able to control it. My back is still hurting from one hour use.

Well built and balanced, however units do not and will not cut up to 2.25 inch. Design limitations unit will not cut deeper than 1.5 inch. From the top of the grass maybe 2.25 inches but from the sidewalk down you will only get 1.5 inches by design. The marketing guys did a great job on this one!

Edging was quite a job because I had to do it with a hand tool. I have quite a few Greenwork tools, so I decided to purchase the edger. It works great and I am in general happy with it. The three downsides for me are that tool is quite heavy when it also has the battery in it, that the metal blade decreases in size rapidly because of the friction when edging near concrete, and that the wheel is in such a position that I have to bend substantially while the blade does not edge deep enough so that I have to lean the tool on the metal strip at the bottom of the tool.

OH MY GOSH THIS IS MASSIVE! I love this edger. I have a gas-powered edger ($279.00) that I don't like the way it works. I have an electric edger that I use all of the time, but I'm stringing long drop cords all over the place. I have a lot of Green Works tools, so I thought that I would give their edger a try. I love their lawn mower, weed eater, and blower, so I will try the edger. I am always a little leery of battery-operated power equipment. This edger took me by surprise at the power that it had. I was blown away. I had my sidewalks and curbs edged in less time than I thought I would. I read some reviews that people were disappointed that it didn't come with a battery. I guess I see that, but I would be dissatisfied if the only way you could buy it was with a battery and charger. I have 3 of their chargers and 4 of their batteries. I am glad I didn't have to pay well over $100.00 more for the battery and charger I didn't need. The size of the edger didn't bother me. I don't think edging with any edger is going to be nice, easy, comfortable work. I was satisfied with the battery life. I only used one 2-amp battery. But that would depend on the size of the edging job you have to do. Very, very happy with this edger.

This stick edger is amazing! Light and easy to use. My neighbours have seen me using it and have asked to borrow it. I have the 80v self propelled lawnmower and love it as well! Great job GREENWORKS!

Je viens de l’utiliser pour la première fois et je suis très satisfait. Très puissant. Portez des vêtements longs!! Commencer par un endroit moins visible pour s’habituer à faire des contours. Prenez le 80V.

Another great product from Greenworks. Their 80V battery products are solidly built with long battery life. Most importantly they get the job done.

It’s a edger, so does what does but also ( I hope) I can put another larger blade for brush.
