Wow! Just charge it and set it. It worked great. Make sure you close the lid of the grill. A little loud as it knocked against the side, but I’m glad I purchased this. I no longer dread cleaning the grill.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was a Father's Day gift from my wife... I really felt that I was going to go from cleaning the smoker/grill to cleaning the Grill-Bot... I must admit I was wrong and give props to the Grill-bot folks... It worked exactly as advertised and when I attempted to clean it there wasn't really much effort or cleaning to do. I've only used it once but so far I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. I had used my Traeger smoker a couple of times without cleaning it... Smoked a butt, a couple racks of ribs and some wings... Quite a bit of build up from different meats and sauces. Grill-bot cleaned much better than I expected. There was just a little residue left and a 10 second wipe down with a paper towel and it looked brand new. Great product.

I have no idea how well these things might work, since both the first one and its replacement were DOA. My wife bought me a Grillbot for Christmas. The battery failed to charge after 6 hours (they say it charges in 3 hours). The display flickered but indicated the status bars as one would expect, however nothing happened and it would not function. After discussing with their customer support, I tried everything they suggested, including checking the UBS charger capacity and trying a second one, as well as “resetting the battery” by unplugging it, waiting and plugging it back in. They wanted to send me a new battery, however they provided no justification why they thought it would be the battery and not the circuit board. (Note that I am an engineer by profession. I retired as a senior product support manager for a large international avionics company.) Note also that the battery was loose and not attached by its adhesive pad and one of the two foam paddings pieces in the battery compartment was also loose. I paid for a new unit, not for a refurbished one that I would have had to troubleshoot and attempt to fix myself. So, I returned it for a replacement. On receiving the replacement from Amazon, it failed in exactly the same way and the battery was loose in this one also. In addition, there were already 3 scuff marks on the top of the brand-new unit where the case contacts it. I am extremely disappointed. Apparently, some of these devices reportedly do work, however it appears that manufacturing quality is severely lacking – Grillbot’s fault - or stock is being held too long in storage and degrading the batteries – possibly Amazon’s fault (a warehouse FIFO issue?) - and something their manual gives specific instructions for avoiding for long-term storage. While the design appears visually to be well thought out for the most part, it has failed to live up to basic expectations in practice. I am returning it for a refund and not subjecting myself to the frustration, disappointment and inconvenience of trying a third time. Having initially had great expectations for this product I will continue to clean my grills manually.

Does the job much better than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this pricey item works.

This is an amazing item BUT the warranty (the shafts that hold the brushes broke) is none existent if purchased from Amazon.ca. Although Grillbot did their best to put me in touch with the company who sold it to Amazon BUT they were not helpful at all, stating that I purchased the item 3rd party so no warranty and they don't ship to Canada

Bin sehr begeistert von diesem Roboter , wie ein kleiner Käfer, dem nach Drücken "ON" Leben eingehaucht wird. Schnell Deckel drauf und zwischenzeitlich andere Dinge erledigen. Ganz wichtig: Nur für Griller mit Deckel! Sonst springt der Käfer todesmutig vom Griller :) Die Reinigung ist vollkommen in Ordnung!

schnelle Lieferung, Verpackung i.O., aber er säubert nicht gut, habe einen Gasgrill, der Bot muss sich also nur mit Kohleresten, nicht mit Fett und Asche rumschlagen. Macht mächtigen Krach und mit einer herkömmlichen Bürste bekommt man den Grill in 2-5 Minuten besser sauber. Bleibt ein Partygag bis zu wenig Platz da ist, dann wird er entsorgt.
