Mezcla Peanut Butter Chocolate Puff Crispy Vegan Bars, 11g Protein, 12 Bars

These are a great option for a dairy free protein bar. They taste really good and I enjoy that they are a different texture than most protein bars. I really like the peanut butter flavor but would recommend to avoid the pistachio flavor!

I really do prioritize protein because of my workout routine & being vegetarian, however, one day I bought 2 of these at whole foods as a snack and I was SHOCKED from how tasty they are. So while there are other protein bars with more protein content out there (most of them are whey based which is ok for me as I eat dairy), it has been a while since I was so happy to eat my bars and the protein content might be slightly lower than other bars but so does the calorie count, and this is so so worth it. I got three flavors and just placed another order of 3 packs (less than 2 months later as sometimes I had 2 a day), and I am so excited to try the other flavors and restock the current flavors. Really can’t recommend enough, as I rather eat 2 with an extra of 100ish calories and ENJOY EVERY BITE vs eating other protein bars while being miserable. YUMMY!!

These used to be super good, I had one just about daily for that 3pm crash to get a bit of protein while satisfying my sweet tooth. They changed the packaging and clearly something about the formula has been updated. The latest batch is inedible. They're stale, they taste downright rancid like spoiled oil, and the chocolate tastes old and tasteless. Can't return them and they're stupid expensive, which I previously didn't mind too much given the quality. Never buying these again.

The best flavor, the best protein bar I’ve ever tried. Not chalky and just sweet enough to feel like a treat!

Update 11/10/2025 The company contacted me about my review and asked for additional feedback. Also compared the weight of the previous batch and current batch and both are 40g according to the label. So not sure what has changed. I am still ordering these bars as they hit all the marks for me, vegan, good balance of protein and fat to sugar and are a very light snack. And considering they contacted me makes me want to continue supporting them. I hope they can figure out what changed and improve and I am definitely willing to change to a 5 star review. As of now, I am raising this to a 4 star as I have gotten used to the flavor and it is better than my initial thoughts. Reviewed on 11/04/2025 Recently, they made a change that decreased the size if the bar drastically and my guess is to keep the calorie and protein count the same, they just concentrated everything into a smaller sized bar. And it has affected the taste, which is now a much stronger peanut butter flavor. I believe it previously had 10 g of protein, 3 g of total sugar, and 7 g of fat, which is pretty balanced, without tasting like cardboard. And the new version still has the same content, just concentrated into a smaller sized bar. These bars used to be my favorite as it had a mild peanut butter taste and was a delicious and a nutritious light snack in between meals at a fair price. I used to have 3 boxes delivered monthly via subscribe and save, but now I don’t eat them as often. I would have preferred they left the bars the same and just reduced the package count, instead of this.

They've recently changed their formula. All of the bars have larger puff pieces and now have a more uniform texture that is off-putting - I feel like I'm eating a product as updated to whole ingredients baked together. What's most disappointing is that they increased the added sugar 2-3x with no improvement to taste, in fact I'd argue it's worse now. I think many people buying these were looking for a less processed minimal sugar snack bar and this is no longer it! Oh, and they're more expensive now!

I’m truly addicted to these things and it’s so nice to be able to subscribe to them so I’m never left stranded without one. They don’t taste like nasty protein bars and don’t have that weird sticky texture.

Great ingredients, yummy taste and a decent price! I have these on repeat in my cart!
