I keep coming back to it.
Long time user (15? years). Doesn't dry up on guns, seems excellent lube, I'm now a fully synthetic man! (that's what the ex-wife said also) I use SUPERLUBE for synth. grease, and this for every thing else (including mixing w/ syn-grease for more viscous stick). Found years ago accidentally (was all they had, when I forgot oil on a trip), I used it to try to stop rusting of rifles' lock mechanism , but it worked even better than the yellow grease around the flint holder after rain/snow/shooting. I haven't found anything it doesn't help as a lube. I'm not as good as Gun Tests, but I do keep trying the latest miracle lubes (like gun juice and nano-lube at much, much higher cost) that work the same, but like I said: I keep coming back to this, always have a can or 5 hanging around for hinges, cable housings, and removing that !#$%^& price-tag stickum. Need complaints? (compared to shootin', nothing's perfect) I hate and have to cut the little protective flap over the nozzle so I can get a thumbnail (instead of a screwdriver) to rotate the spout up, and I always "burp" the can before closing the nozzle so it doesn't leak when it warms. Can is a little shorter/wider than it used to be, and I like that also.

THE BEST GUN OIL PERIOD
This is the best. I have tried just about everything and nothing seems better than this. I have used it for 35 years on and off. I am 71; this is the lube I am sticking with. It cleans really well, lubricates excellently and protects guns in storage for 30 years, untouched. No rusting; bore still like a mirror. I think it smells great -- not strong at all. Use the spout can for high friction areas. Use the spray if you are out in the rain with your firearm to get in all the heard to reach places. The spray leave a light coat of oil that does not collect dirt and grit.

Excellent Gun Oil
This gun oil is one of the best available. Having used other gun specific oils such as Hoppe's 9 Elite, CLP, and a myriad of others, Birchwood Casey Synthetic Gun Oil is the best. It is clear as water with very little smell and is incredibly slike. Any gun that I've used it on (pump shotguns, bolt-action rifles, semi-auto rifles, revolvers, lever-action rifles, and pistols) have worked better than ever with this oil. When used on a specific gun that I own, the action lost all of its "clunkiness" and became exceptionally smooth. One of the best aspects of this oil is that it won't evaporate quickly when used in gun storage. Most gun oils will evaporate away within about one month, not so with this gun oil. Being synthetic this gun oil will not freeze, turn to gunk, or drip away since this synthetic oil sticks to metal. I can't recommend this enough.

Good oil, bad dispenser
Good product. Thin, smooth and leaves a clean coat of oil on the surfaces of firearms. Two issues. First, foul odor. Big deal, if it works well itโs worth it, and it does. Second issue, the spout on the can is no good. You have to use a screwdriver or something to pull the red spout up. Thatโs a pain. Itโs worth putting this in another bottle for that reason alone. Maybe itโs just the one I received but the can is like a lighter fluid can and those pop up by pushing the back of the spout. Otherwise, good stuff and worth having

An excellent cleaner/lubricant.
An excellent cleaner and lubricant at a very reasonable price. It is very light and it dissolves the dirt accumulated very quickly. It penetrates into the right places and cleans/lubricates small parts very well. I use it more as a cleaner than as an lubricant especially for the slides which typically calls for a light grease. It does have a strong smell but no worse than gasoline it many other solvents.

Great for racing bicycles
I have worked in, managed and owned bicycle shops since 1979. I have used a lot of different oils compounded with a lot of different additives and this stuff is slicker than anything I have ever used. Even though a lot of brake cable housing comes with a teflon liner you still have to lightly lubricate the cable. The advantage of this stuff is that it is synthetic and will not dry out or damage the teflon liner in brake cable housing. Bicycle mechanics have more in common with gunsmiths than they do car mechanics. This super slick oil is unsurpassed for fine bicycle applications. It has a synthetic matrix that will not damage fragile plastic. It is fortified with PTFE is the chemical abbreviation for DuPont Teflon, the additive used in Tri-Flow.
