Simple, light and efficient. Perfect as a carry on. On big compartment and one small compartment. The small is quite small. The side bottle holders are large and strong. Perfect for what I wanted.

Great backpack for an active kid - fits all the daily necessities and is even big enough for an overnight trip. Color is great and the material has held up well to being thrown around on the way to/from school. The bungees on the outside are great for shoes or a sweatshirt. On days when it has rained or snow - it seems to repel water well and items inside have been dry.

I love this bag I’m an architectural student and it’s able to hold so much stuff and I still have room and the straps are so comfortable it doesn’t put any strain on my back or shoulders which is great considering how much stuff I have it’s a great backpack and I’ve looked for a long time for a nice looking bag and been through so many bc of the style or the space it can hold and this one really hits the jackpot it’s great on my shoulders and it dosnt stick out either considering how much stuff I have in there definitely recommend!!

As a outdoors nature guide, this is a perfect sized day pack, where I can put all my gear neatly organized. I take this backpack out with me almost everyday and everywhere and no color fade, strong straps, withstanding the heat of the Caribbean, sun and being close to the sea. I definitely recommend this one!

Love this simple bag, well made and lightweight. Perfect amount of pockets inside and outside Traveled with it on an airplane and cruise and it did wonders. I may consider another colorway in the future, to keep things interesting. Can never go wrong with the TNF Black for anything. Try one for yourself!

I’ve been using the The North Face Jester Everyday Laptop Backpack for several weeks now, and overall I’m quite impressed. It hits many of the right notes for a daily commuter bag, though there are a couple of small trade-offs. What I like: • The build quality is solid. The fabric feels durable and well-stitched, and the water-repellent finish gives me confidence in light rain. • The internal layout is smart. The padded 16″ laptop sleeve (and extra padded section for a tablet) keeps my gear protected, and the main compartment has room for books, a sweater, and other essentials. • Ergonomics are good — the FlexVent suspension system with padded shoulder straps and a breathable back panel makes the pack comfortable even when loaded. • The two side bottle pockets are convenient (and versatile) — I often use one for a water bottle and the other for quick‐access items. What could be better: • When fully packed, the bag starts to feel a bit heavy — I wish there were more structure or better weight distribution when carrying heavier loads. • The front compartments are useful, but I sometimes find myself wishing for a few more interior pockets or dividers to keep smaller items (pens, cables, etc.) better organized. • While the water repellent coating handles light moisture well, I wouldn’t trust it in a heavy downpour without additional protection. Bottom line: This is a very capable everyday/laptop backpack. It balances comfort, durability, and functionality nicely. If you don’t regularly haul extremely heavy loads, it should serve you well.

The Jester nails the basics really well - it’s super comfortable thanks to its padded back system, protects laptops up to 16” perfectly, and actually stands up on its own which is surprisingly handy. It’s got a clean look that works for school or work, handles light rain okay, and the build quality is solid. The downside is it’s pretty basic with organization - just one main compartment and a front pocket, so don’t expect tons of little pockets for your stuff. Great for students and commuters who want something reliable and comfortable without all the bells and whistles.
