Saw a surgeon he said cortisone shot then still persists its surgery.. he gave me alternative... no to shot, physical therapy and to get the brace to wear at night see how I do. I have Trigger thumb... yes, this is GREAT , get this total support. Thank you!! needed the relief and this brace started the reversal of my condition. Went to bed at 8pm and by 2pm the overall pain 100% went away, next day pain is gone so now today calling physical therapist and check what I eat not to increase inflamation and see where I am at in 6 weeks. So happy with the brace. The interior is soft and tighten to snug great support. It does not hurt and soft taking off, some braces hurt and is hard material, this one is soft, inside. Great support for De Quervain's tenosynovitis condition. Paying a little more for a product that does the correct job and does it well, is smart. This wrist brace worked well for me. It does not cure this condition, but it does provide the support needed to keep your thumb in a position to aid in healing. I measured my hand using the product guide, and was on the very low end of the large scale. Choosing large was a good decision. It is not loose and fits very well.

My hand practically locked up, totally unusable without immense pain. The Doctor called it De Quervain's Tendonitis. The fix was a painful shot or a wrist brace with thumb isolation. He gave me an order at the hospital ortho device department, or said I could get a brace off Amazon. The Ortho dept. Wanted $60-$100. I ordered this. Six weeks later and all pain has nearly ceased, My range of motion has returned. There is some small nagging issue, but this device was definitely the way to go. Loosened at night, did not interfere with sleep. Comfortable, and the metal bracing is a plus. Excellent product and solution.

After a third carpal tunnel repair on my right wrist along with a De Quervain’s tenosynovitis release on my right thumb, and then a left thumb De Quervain’s release three months later, I had a lot of firsthand experience needing good post-surgical support. My surgeon recommended wearing a brace during those first few weeks after surgery, and after trying versions from CVS and Walmart, this one was the clear winner.
