Beautiful, Bright, Superior Picture Quality & Contrast - OLED Can't Compare
The factory settings on this television are surprisingly good, but if you're a techie, you'll find the handles that you want for fine tuning. The sound is also surprisingly good. If you use the built-in equalizer, you can get close to what you'd expect from decent small bookshelf speakers. I've often wondered why dim, burn-in and fade vulnerable OLEDs are so highly touted. A high contrast range on a dim picture means that much of the content in a dark scene is lost. With a proper local dimming setting, the blacks on this television look dead black, and the image can be made bright enough for any viewing environment. The remote could use a few more dedicated buttons, but it uses RF; so there's no pointing. The TV also works with older Sony infra-red remotes and infra-red universal remotes. The faint, narrow vignette at the edge of the picture (shown in another positive review) isn't really noticeable in normal viewing. Since perfection isn't an option, I'll take this this one as a close second.

Worth the Money !
Great TV. The picture clarity is off the charts. Simply amazing. Had some issues getting the product delivered. But Amazon customer service was able to sort it out. The package was undamaged, safety delivered.Setting up the TV was a bit challenging especially connecting the sound bar, but was able to do it. Overall great experience.

100% worth the cost.
Everything about this TV is amazing. Quick menu selections, easy to set up, works with Google voice commands, super clear picture, and the best for a high light environment. Very happy with purchase.

Incredible product
This TV is fantastic! I recommend it if you like watching a lot of movies and are happy to use physical media. This TV made my streaming look better, but the 4k discs are where it really shines. I was slightly disappointed that the display wasn't as dramatic at home as it had been in the store. The TV's in the stores are playing specifically crafted videos that highlight whatever the new TV's do best. Most content won't be as incredible as the store footage. Fast action, conversations in dark rooms-- I can't tell a difference from my old TV. Where this one really shines is with long range, high detail wilderness shots. So, nature documentaries look great. Or movies with epic settings, like Legends of the Fall, Mad Max: Fury Road, or even The Matrix. The color is much better, the dynamic range of light to dark is fantastic, the resolution is great. My PS5 pro games look incredible on it. Even older movies transferred over to 4k can pop with new details. I was surprised to see the weave of the clothes the actors were wearing in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I love the new controller; the buttons light up whenever you move it. The packaging it came in was impressive! No danger of damage while shipping. I saved all of it for when I have to move. I can't imagine a better packing system. Anyway, Sony did a great job. There's a bunch of videos on YouTube to help you calibrate it.

The best led tv available!
I had the previous version, and this TV is a lot better. The images are so much brighter/clearer. I watch a lot of sports and the imaging is great. This has to be the best led TV out there.

1st Week - It is worth it!
Kinda wow! 85" Bravia 9 is a monster!I read all the reviews, watched the YT reviews, did some comparison shopping, and decided to spend the money. There are some reviews which talk about the interface having some lag - occasionally it does. For the most part, it is instantaneous. The apps update on the fly - so if they don't launch immediately, that is what they are doing. It slows down after adding an app - seems to be doing some housekeeping.Previous TV was 2019 85" Bravia running Android TV (the underpinnings of Google TV) - the new interface is familiar, but streamlined - There is more to learn about the setup - but easy enough out-of-the-box.The remote is Bluetooth, so no need to aim it at the TV.Comments about the edges - when looking at a stationary test pattern, the edges show signs of vignetting - most do if the bezel is small - you will never notice it with any moving image if it isn't your job to rate TVs. Ever.Live sports are amazing.Vocal zoom is amazing. I'm getting up there in age, so it really helps. Now I'm considering a Sony AV receiver for tighter integration - currently running Anthem in 5.1, but not seamless as it isn't on their list. It works when using multiple remotes.Do you want to spend this much money on a TV, when there are alternatives at 1/3 the price? The smoothness of live sports sold me. There are probably others - this outshines the ones I've seen. The delivery choice was "to the room and unpack" - The team was great - their truck was trackable, and arrived in their time window. Delivered, unpacked, tested and off they went. With this being a big TV, I'd recommend that option.I'll update this in a month or so if anything changes.Thumbs up from me.

Brilliant and fantastic
I have now owned this TV for about 6 months with heavy near daily use. I have the 85” size and it is absolutely fantastic. The picture quality is great and it is very bright, and despite being in a very sunny room, I never feel that it is dim. Details in dark scenes and shadows are also great. I use it in the professional mode and it is endlessly customizable. I have nothing negative to say about this TV. It is not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Loud “coil whine” Sony deems it normal
The media could not be loaded. This review is for 85” Sony Bravia 9.I can hear loud coil whine coming form the back of the TV when TV is displaying bright HDR images. Sony responded me it is normal and will not warranty it. I will tell you guys: it is not normal.Just google “Sony Bravia 9 coil while” and you read about how many customers have the same issue, and even replacement units having same issue.Completely unacceptable at this price point for a “premium product “.
