I've been reaching for Rennie for years now, so this is less of a first impression and more of a long-overdue appreciation post for something that's quietly been a reliable constant. If you suffer from heartburn or indigestion, you'll know how miserable it can be, especially at night. There's nothing worse than lying on your side and knowing you're going to wake up in discomfort. These have genuinely changed that for me. If I can feel it coming on before bed, I take a couple and I know I'm not going to be waking up in the night with that familiar burning feeling. I won't lie, I prefer Gaviscon tablets to control the occasional touch of acid reflux, but sometimes Gaviscon can be quite expensive and Rennie has always been a good alternative at a lower price point. Works just fine, and if you're comfortable using Gaviscon tablets you'll be good with these. They seem to last a long time if you - like me - forget about them and find them a couple of years later in a suitcase or whatever - and they're absolutely fine to dry crunch, provided you don't have an issue with the slightly chalky consistency. I wouldn't describe them as 'tasty' or anything, but they do the job and it's a good idea to have a pack stashed somewhere just in case.
