Great 1st birthday gift . Best 15 seconds of his life . The biggest smile I’ve ever seen on him. He’s not walking yet but this little drum set has given him the motivation to learn some balancing techniques. It’s not the best quality and has a few design flaws. Both bottom drums seem to get knocked off quite a bit but for the price it’s worth it . I really love that each drum has its own light and works as described. It does take cell batteries and we did have to replace them in 2 of the light bars. with some jiggling they work as described. assembly took some time, maybe 30 minutes tops. once you learn how to assemble the first drum the rest is easy . it’s also brought all of my older kids together and they all joined the fun. I’d say that’s priceless.

Its a cool little set up once you put it all together. But the drum cylinders are made from a thick card paper, the drum rings are made of plastic, basically everything is made of plastic. All the drums sound exactly the same, honestly I dont know why there are 5 in the set if there is literally no audible distinction between them. Also, after you've taken the 45 minutes of putting every piece together, I absolutely promise the kids WILL destroy it in less than an hour. There will be broken pieces, theres going to be only one plastic drumstick, the spring for the foot pedal is going to magically disappear, also the cymbal stands cartoonishly high and also sounds like aluminum. I wouldve sent it back but to much damage has already been done and theres missing pieces. Infact, I think the seller made everything flimsy and out of paper intentionally.

Unfortunately cheap material and falls apart easily. Cute for a little while though. If your child really is interested in music invest in something of better quality.

SO difficult to put together. Be aware it comes completely disassembled. You have to hold the colored paper part of the drum in a circle and attach both sides to it. It took me and my husband holding either side to get them both attached long enough to get the pieces on that hold it together permanently. The edges of the cardboard/paper pieces weren’t completely flat either. They appear to have got banged up in the box, which just made it harder to get together. The small drums also do not stay hanging on the sides like they are supposed to. My daughter doesn’t mind and reattaches them or plays them on the ground, but kind of disappointing. However, my daughter loves to play on these drums. They make a good sound and I like the seat that comes with it. She loved the blue color. They are the perfect size for a toddler. If you can get it put together you’ll be fine. They aren’t the most durable things ever, but the drums will stay together fine individually and make a cute gift even if it doesn’t stay together as a whole set well. I’m going to find a way to keep them attached better, but guess them coming apart easy is good for moving and storage. Also really like the drumstick holders.
