An amusing sexy romance
Well, if you like romance with a bit of, what the author calls 'smutt', then you should enjoy this. It conforms to the genre, but what saves it is the setting (you can only imagine what Dream Harbour is like!) and the humour. There are five books in the series (to date!) and they are all set in the same location and characters from one form part of another. So it is as if you see everyone both as bit players and main characters. You also learn their backstory that way. It is an interesting concept and one that works well here. The humour is good, and whilst fairly graphic, the sex is well done. If you are not a fan of such 'scenes', then obviously, this can be an issue. But this is a 'feel-good' story as per the romance genre. As such, you are kept on edge to see how the lovers will unite in the end. Hence, within the genre, well-written and deservedly so, a best seller.By the way, it is worth reading the comments the author makes about her story.

A lovely feel-good story!
The Strawberry Patch Pancake House was a very yummy read. It is filled with the most mouthwatering food as well as romance. I really enjoyed getting to know the new characters and especially loved Olive, who was such a cutie. A lovely feel-good story!

Meh
*spoilers*It was okay. You know what you’re getting with Laurie Gilmore books, but I didn’t have the same warm & happy feeling with this one as I did with the other ones. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all incredibly cheesy and happy ever after vibes, but I didn’t appreciate this one quite as much. The timeframe was stupid and annoyingly short. The MMC seemed to have a personality transplant a few chapters in. The pregnancy was predictable. I HATE when the reader knows the woman is pregnant before she does. Hate miscommunication tropes. Olive was cute.

blissful book
I love this series and all the books could be standalone too. They make me want to live in dream harbour and i think they would be a very good Netflix series too. Perfect reads.

A spicy, poignant, adorable read
Loved going back to Dream Harbor and diving into a another story there!Chef Archer is NOT expecting to suddenly become a father to a five year old girl or give up his life in Paris to move to a small town. He's out of his depth in every way possible.Enter free spirit Iris who connects with his daughter straight away, and provides some much needed fun and joy when she moves in as their nanny. The whole story was so poignant and I loved how they slowly got used to being a family. Also loved to see the cameos from the other Dream Harbor residents! If you love a small town slow burn with some spice and a happy ever after this one is for you!

My favourite of the series so far
My favourite changes every time I read a different Dream Harbour book 😂This is absolutely now my favourite in the series! The last 25% of the book certainly had me tearing up.Iris and Archers story is just 😍I loved the unexpected single dad trope in this - it was so lovely to watch Archers transformation and his views on the life he came from to the life he ends up living!I want Iris to be my Nanny as she is just the coolest, kindest and funniest. She was definitely a breath of fresh air for me throughout the book. Although she has some worries and niggles and some low points, her kind, loving personality still shines throughOlive is such a cutie and as much as the author had her worries writing a child into a romance book, she nailed it in my opinion. The book wouldn’t be the same without Olive tugging on our heart strings and making us laugh, smile and enjoy her character!Loved the supporting characters and so nice to have the familiar faces we know from the previous books.I’d say this is the least spiciest of the series so far.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5🌶️🌶️.5/5

My fave so far
As with the other books it was good to be back in Dream Harbour. Immediately I loved this one and I found it so easy to read, flying through the chapters.Up until this one Noah (affectionately known as fish boy) has always been my favourite but Archer definitely took the crown, and my heart, early on.Olive was absolutely adorable! Usually in the books I read the kids are little sh!ts so it was nice to read a book where the child melted my cold thriller loving heart and I definitely was not prepared for this book to make me cry.I loved the character development with each of the MCs including little Olive. Basically I loved everything about it.I could pick it straight back up and read it all over again - easily my favourite of the series
