Item arrived on time, very well packaged. Built like a tank, works very well. ***Note*** Plugs with 2 prongs (one big one small) fit really tight, you have to work at it to get it in, but it works. Chances are this is why this item is frequently returned. Highly recommended.

Oh boy, does this thing work well due to City code and ordinances? I am not allowed to run 220 Power out to my back lot unfortunately HDIS put a damper on my ability to use my welder where it is needed most. with this item I am able to use my welder on the 220 setting anywhere on my property. This thing works quite well and is easily able to handle the draw of my welder. I used it for a total of eight hours yesterday and I had no problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend this item. It is small compact and very high build quality. The item is extremely quiet. It has no smell to it. It operates as expected and goes above and beyond what I was anticipating. This definitely has good value for its price and if I am in need of another I would definitely buy again.

I need this voltage converter for some devices I had brought in from Australia. The plug accepts a wide variety of non US plugs and it works perfectly. It is a bit large, but I am able to set it out of the way. It now sits under my standing desk which will only run on 220V. Now I can use it on 120V.

I bought this to use with a 110V welder and it has performed as well as I hoped. The wiring in the rental house I'm living in is not so great and my welder seemed to be starving for voltage. This converter is allowing me to use my 220V outlet instead and now the welder performs excellent. With the built in breaker and 5000W rated capacity I feel extremely comfortable the converter is safe to use and the dual output capability is nice. I could plug in both 110V and 220V equipment at the same time, but I am hesitant to do so because the power cable only feels like it's 12GA or so. Because of the light input cable, I don't see how you could realistically trust running at full load for any length of time, but that is fine because I am almost always running the welder under 10A. Because of the light input cable, I am only rating at 4-star, but the converter is fully meeting my needs and I am happy with the purchase.

Unit died after a few days of use, smelled like burnt rubber the whole time and got almsot too hot to touch. Constant load of 1400watts aka less than half rated

It was so hard to find an inverter for My tassimo coffee maker to convert it from UK to US but this works great. I have a fridge, coffee maker, and blender all plugged in and it manages the load no problem.
