Does it have mounting bolt slots?

Hello Sarah, it does have 2 mounting holes, they are at the top and bottom of the bridge rectifier. The mounting holes are inside the heat sink fins, so they cannot be seen from the picture. The holes are 13/64'' in diameter (according to calipers), so #10 (3/16) bolt would fit. There is very little room for a washer, although you may be able to fit a small one.

can i use this in 12v automotive applications?

I used it to convert a wire welder to DC. But I would think you could. Have no idea where you would want to use it...

WORKING WELL FOR THE PROJECT

This rectifier was used on a drum sander that was made using the motor and roller from a treadmill. So far I have gotten very good results using this to recify current from an SCR voltage controller to power the DC motor.

Toasted in 5 minutes w voltage and amperage well under ratings

I used this in a 90 amp harbor freight welder, properly mounted AND forced air cooling, and I welded for about 5 minutes total and it was shot... i see many others here have had success with this and I have as well (with another brand purchased after this one died), so I can only assume that I received a bad rectifier, unfortunately... maybe the seller has a warranty on it and will Consider sending me a replacement. If that's the case, and i receive a new one that works correctly, i will be sure to update my review accordingly... until then, this is all I have to go off of...
