RJ45 Crimp Tool Pass Through Crimper for RJ45 Connectors / Cat6 Cat6a Cat5 Cat5e Connector Ethernet Crimper Tool with Mini Cable Stripper

I got this because I had unknowingly purchased pass through RJ45 ends. This crimped is amazing and so are pass through as a concept. No more wasted plugs from end that flip at the last second that you don’t notice. Never going back to non pass through ends. I tossed the ones I had left laying around.

Nice and helpfull

This was very simple to use. It gets the job done but not sure for how long. As you can see the package contains some extra blades. When I was using the tool while running cat5e cables for a Lorex NVR I only cut stripped and crimped 3 ends plus 2 practice ones. On the last one I did it seemed to already lose some sharpness. With that being said I did find it to be accurate and very useful. It is easy to grasp in one hand and I don’t have the largest hands, so if you have huge hands not sure if would be an issue or not. But it does fit nicely into a tool belt. I used for pass-through wires and the all the cameras turned on at the end of the install. So the quality of the crimp connector worked great. It came with a little one page manual on how to use the tool and was very useful to reference the wire layout.

This so far works flawlessly. Durability is yet to be tested but so far I love it and encouraged my installation crew to get it . It’s nice and compact . Also ergonomic. Fits nicely in my hand. Highly recommended. And the price ???? Cant beat it

Great quality and through

I was helping a friend with his new house he was building. He was running wires himself prior to getting the walls up, so I helped out there since I'm in the networking field. But the crimper I had was only for standard RJ45, not pass through ends. So we used my ends I had extra still until we ran out and had to continue another time. I snagged this, got it delivered next day, and was able to continue with the pass through ends that he had that we hadn't been able to use up to that point. Went on well, this did a clean cut of all the wires, and everything terminated fine.

Doesn’t work well for STP cables especially with 24th and higher. Stopping portion cuts too deep.

A good tool. I don't do this professionally, there might be faster tools! The only issue I had with this is the slight difficulty in feeding the passed through wires through the small gap at the side of the tool. Resolved trivially by just twisting them together a tiny bit after passing through the connector prior to inserting it into the tool. Trimming them a bit prior would also be a 100% solution.

There is a certain handedness when working with this tool to hold the tool with one hand and use the other hand to get the clips inserted into the correct side. The cutters and strippers worked well. The final crimps were clean and looked good. And worked. And given the cable pass through, no juggling of strand lengths was necessary (given the appropriate connectors which also allow passthrough).

I had to add pass through connectors on four Cat6 ends. The wiring diagram on the tool is handy. Wire 2 to 7 were cut effortlessly by the tool. But wire number 1 and 8 had to be wiggled out manually.
