CARPURIDE 9.26 Inch Carplay Screen for Car with Backup Camera

Update: I was having major connection issues. Would constantly disconnect and reconnect. I tried messing with so many suggested phone settings to no prevail. Ultimately I reached out to their customer service team on here and they were quick to reply and offer me instructions on how to update Android Auto on the W125S. I did exactly as I structed and it now works flawlessly. The instructions are actually on the product description page under the 'videos' category, I just didn't catch it myself. Easy to scrolly through and miss. If you have Android with Version 16...this patch is specifically to remedy the connection issues with that version. Seems to be working absolutely flawlessly at the moment. The W125S is easy to setup. I'd suggest if using the sticky mount, using a adhesive promoter to help it stick. Just look it up on Amazon and snag a small pack. 3M makes some and another brand are common on here. Pretty cheap too. Just make sure it's safe to use on your dash. The app worked absolutely flawlessly as well, which was a surprise. And you can do things like change the boot animation. That's fun! This thing just went from 1 to 6 stars. Great display too. Thanks again for the great customer service.

I really wanted to like this product but it is simply no good, especially for the price point. In order to work, the SD card needs reformatting every time I turn the device on, otherwise it will not record. I tried several SD cards with the same results. I returned the item and received a second one with the very same problem. So either it is poorly designed or there is no quality control. Call quality is also horrible. While it sounds good on my end, the other parties report hearing an echo. Also, it is nearly impossible to use the dash cam if you affix the device to the windshield as the suction cup blocks most of the camera's view. I will be returning the second device and looking for another. It certainly won't be a Carpuride.

Carpuride 11.26 Inch HD Wireless CarPlay & Android...Of all the units I have tested for my use, this one ruled the best BUT there was no way to mount in my vehicle without issues; the windshield suction cup fell off as the weather reached over 100 degrees for two days straight, I park outside. I tried several mounting ideas; the cup holder was too low for the dash camera to view the drive, the air vent holder could not hold the weight, I purchased brackets that are used to replace rearview mirror holders hoping I could mount that way but no luck, the sticky mount was advised by my car dealer not to use as we could not prove heat resistant adhesive on it so my best choice was to return the item and go for a rearview mirror carplay unit. I still gave this Carpuride 11.26 Inch HD Wireless CarPlay & Android...5 stars. There was no problem with the apps, connections, mirroring and recordings at all. The cameras worked great. Should you have no issues with mounting, I'd say purchase this one.

Unit itself is pretty good, I think. Mounts and cameras leave a lot to be desired. I watched some review videos and they praised it as being "lag free" and "smartphone fast" and I've found that it's really not. If this is as wild an improvement in lag as everyone seems to claim, every other carplay screen must be downright unusable. The flexible sticker mount that's pictured and in all the reviews and videos about this product looks good, especially for my curvy dash... but what I actually got is a hard plastic thing instead, with, I think, much less adjustability. I think it's sticking to my dash ok from the middle, regardless of the fact that all four corners are elevated and not actually making contact with the sticker. UPDATE: not bendy, hard, plastic thing didn't last a week. I haven't permanently wired my back-up camera yet, and might not at all, because the view from it doesn't seem wide enough to capture both the vehicles behind me and the bumper. Every car I've driven with a built-in camera seems to have a wider field of view so that it's useful for knowing both what is behind you and how close you are, this seems only capable of one or the other. It looks like it would be a wide angle lens, but does not perform as one. In my sample picture, I'm almost in the parking spot, and I've angled the camera so it should be able to see both the bumper and behind me, if it were truly wide angle, but as you can see, I cannot see my bumper and I can only see just over one car-length behind me... AND that's the picture view, the actual on-screen view of this camera cuts off some of both the top and the bottom. The Android Auto works well when it works, but seems to randomly disconnect. I've not had this issue with any rental car I've connected my phone to, or anyone else's car with an android auto set up... but this screen seems to randomly disconnect while driving around. Sometimes I see an red error flash full screen on my phone, but, so far, it has been too fast for me to catch it before it reconnects to the carpuride and goes away. I read something about VPNs in my quick googling of common Android Auto problems, so I'll try turning that off, but, again, I've not had this problem with other set ups in the past. Carpuride support has suggested uninstalling and reinstalling Android Auto, though I'm not sure how this will be any better than the clearing of cache and data I already did. Will report back if it improves. Seems to disconnect every few minutes (once per song, or at least once every other song) or, if I touch my phone and cause any other activity like unlocking it.

When I received this screen it had one of those clear plastic screen protectors that manufacturers usually ship these types of electronics with. Mine must have been shipped from the Sahara Desert or something because the protector was difficult to remove, ripped several times during the process, and left a sticky film on the screen. It was also rippled, a definite clue that it was exposed to excess heat. Since I have no idea if this was because of the seller or USPS I won't credit the seller for this issue but hopefully they will read this and maybe figure it out. Because it's a touchscreen this made the screen unusable. It took me around 30 minutes to carefully scrape off the goo using a plastic razor blade and glass cleaner (I miraculously didn't scratch it) and when I was done the glue that was removed looked like snow all over the place. Good thing I have a vacuum cleaner for my car. I should have taken a picture. I was too frustrated to remember to do it. As for the unit itself... once I cleaned off the goo it worked great. My car is a 1996 Mazda and the stereo has no Bluetooth or AUX port so I use the FM radio function. On a whim I also tried my cassette to AUX adapter that I used to use for my phone and a MP3 player and it works fine with that too. My Google Pixel 6a easily connected and continues to connect automatically when I turn on the car but it does take about a minute or so. You will think it's not doing anything and then all of a sudden a box will pop up on the screen with the name of your phone and then it's connected. I had to learn patience. Don't interrupt the process by touching the screen or you will have to reconnect manually. The sound quality from the built in speakers is adequate. I advise to not turn it up all the way though or there will be distortion, both in what's coming out of its speakers and the sound from your car stereo. Half volume is good enough. Be sure to set the volume to mute or lower the volume of Spotify or whatever music you're listening to when you're using Google Maps or you won't hear the Google voice when it gives you directions. I haven't made or received any calls yet. I also don't drive very much so it might be a while before I have the opportunity to do so. It will be interesting to see how well that function works and what the sound quality is like. I really didn't expect much from this unit but now that I have everything working to my liking I enjoy it. The screen size is fine for my small car. The mounting options are good. If you have to mount it on top of your dash I recommend using the suction cup mount so you can move it out of direct sunlight when parked. It's a very strong suction cup. If your dash isn't textured you might not even need to use a disk with it. Yes, it uses a lighter plug. The description says this screen works for all cars. Older cars don't usually have USB for power so the lighter plug is fine. Works as advertised in my opinion. I don't know why some people are complaining about it. It's not like the description and pictures don't show that it's a lighter plug. Adding a 12 volt accessory jack is easy and they sell them here on Amazon. Knocked off a star because of the goo on the screen or I would have given this 5.

Everything works good but the mirror link/ superlink. I have try a 100 time no luck it will mirror my phone until you start to play a movie then it goes blank. On top of that the customer service is not good they respond but don't say anything helpful. Like I emailed them just asking if someone could walk me through the process and they ask for my order # I gave it to them then they tell me they can’t find my order I did not just spend over $200 to get no customer service for this product and the not playing movies as it clearly says it does in the description. It not like I was asking for a refund i was asking for help with their product and getting it setup right. Edit: So it took about 2 weeks but customer service apologized for how their representative handle me asking for help ended up sending me a different one for free and letting me keep the first one so that is awesome haven't got to test it yet but they made me happy even though I didn't ask for a replacement they offered it which made me feel like a winner.

For the longest time, I kept putting off buying something like this because I assumed the installation would be complicated and not worth the hassle. Turns out, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The setup was surprisingly easy, and within no time I had everything up and running. One of the biggest advantages is that you can keep your original car radio and speakers. When I want to play music from Spotify or my own iPhone playlist, it connects effortlessly via Bluetooth. The whole process is smooth and user-friendly. Another feature I absolutely love is the hands-free functionality. Being able to send WhatsApp messages using Siri while driving is such a relief—it makes everything safer and far more convenient. Honestly, I wish I had installed this much earlier in my car. And considering the price, there’s really no reason to hesitate. Highly recommended!

If i could i could do no stars i would. First of let me state this is not a good quality carplay. What it shows you from its photoshop pictures, its actually very basic low quality that barely works as it should. It doesnt mimic what you see on the picture, its a 2 buttons top left for apple a space in the middle and 1 button on the right for android auto and a phone screen sharing button. It stays on even after the car is left off and you are gone for a long time. The only reason i would have bought this is if i was truely trying to be cheap and wanted Bluetooth music. It has its own speakers but the quality is bad and everytime you turn it off it defaults back from what you set it to back to its speaker. You can run an aux to it so your car can use its speakers, so thats ok. If i had to say if you are wanting a good portable carplay/android auto, either spend atleast over 150 minimum or go to best buy as they have one that actually works and is legit (its even on amazon (minix)). Do your research before you buy. 🙂

easy setup with an iPhone for AppleCar Play, bluetooth to unit and FM station connection to an old 2006 Ford Radio, clear super size wide screen, screen swipe sensitivity precise and with no lag! very happy with this product, window mount bracket is super strong. I have not setup the reverse camera but will do later on.

Excelente, si quieres darle un toque fresco a cualquier vehículo sin tener que modificar el exterior, original o instalaciones raras y complicadas. Buen sonido, buenas funciones, rapidez hasta el momento no he tenido ningún problema o queja. Lo recomiendo mucho
