The Heatwave Test: We have been dealing with crazy hot temperatures lately, and my outdoor plants and potted flowers were drying out completely by mid-afternoon. I was having to water them constantly just to keep them alive.How I Applied It: I mixed these granules into the soil around the root zones of my outdoor plants. As soon as you water them, you can tell they immediately turn into a thick, water-retaining jelly matrix beneath the surface.The Results: It works beautifully! The soil stays consistently moist even during the hottest part of the day. Instead of wilting under the sun, my plants look vibrant, resilient, and perfectly hydrated. It has significantly cut down on how often I have to run outside to water everything.Pros:Drastically reduces watering frequency during extreme heat. Prevents severe soil drying and plant wilting. A little bit of the dry crystals goes a very long way.Cons / Tips for Success: Make sure you mix it well into the soil rather than just leaving it on top. If it's too close to the surface, the gel expands above the dirt and looks a little messy. Keep it down by the roots where the water is actually needed!

I used this for spreading deer attractant. It soaks up the liquid and holds it for many days out in the field. Better value than using it alone. Consider this a hunting hack!

Great product. My potted plants out on the patio in the summer heat have to be watered a lot less often. These are great when you’re away on vacation too. So glad I ran across this product.

i use this in All my planters.living in the south can kill a potted plant quicker than a jack rabbit. one minute everything looks great, next minute it's shriveled up dead. well, no more. add a tablespoon or 2 or more for larger pots. mix it in good with your potting mix, water, plant, and you're all set. yes you still have to water your potted plants but nowhere near as often. this is a great bargain over the little pouches of water crystals they sell at the box stores. I buy in bulk because i LOVE gardening with containers. I'm a plantaholic.

I can not say enough good things about these crystals. They are a life saver for plants during drought times or if you going on vacation. It is very important to make sure they are pumped before using because it you try putting some in the soil and then it rains or you water they will plump up and push the plant out of the soil. I used 6 of the small scoop that come with it for a 2 gallon bucket. If your using for well established plants I would recommend using them around the surrounding soil. Seriously a little goes a long way. I've been able to grow plants in pure sand using these.
