Nearly my entire grooming "arsenal" is Pinaud Clubman and has been for decades. Ever since a barber rubbed a little on my head as a kid after getting a haircut. Powder, beard balm, beard conditioner, shave cream, beard oil, aftershave. I love the scent and refuse to buy all the stuff they have now with childish names with Vikings, Sasquatch, Berserker, Razorback Boar, Rambo, Macho Tough Guy From The 19th Century, or whatever. Stuff that smells like cigar butts and booze. Grow up. No real barbershop uses this nonsense. No idea what some of the reviews are talking about. "Tobacco and leather"? Mine smells like citrusy spearmint, even the wife thought so. Smells wonderful. Though it doesn't smell exactly like the Clubman aftershave it's a surprisingly fresh, modern scent for such an old brand name and is compatible with the classic Clubman aftershave. Maybe some of these reviews are for a different product? A lot of reviewers don't like the cap. I unscrew it, set it on the soap dish, wash my beard, and screw it back on. No idea why this would be difficult. The neck of the bottle is textured so you can hold onto it and the cap is grooved. ? Dunno. At any rate I highly recommend. I have something else for body washing, so will use only on my beard. Will probably be my go to, leaves it fresh, clean and smelling great. Swap with some Wahl's Beard Wash from time to time, as I think the Wahl's moisturizes better. A bit pricey to wash your whole body with it daily, but as a beard wash only, it lasts a long time.

Very nice scent and leaves my beard clean and soft. Has a nice lather and smells great — more European than American. Reminds me of green Radox or Badedas, if anyone knows those. I’m tired of everything smelling the same — sandalwood supposedly? — which is the new Right Guard effect (everything used to smell cheap like that). This bucks that trend. It smells refreshingly different and sophisticated. I switch between it and Wahl Beard Wash, which is surprisingly excellent and reminiscent of an old school upmarket barber shop. The bottle top on this is an odd choice, although the bottle itself is pleasing — old school design, nicely textured and squeezable. The top is a simple screw cap, which leaves you fumbling in the shower. I replaced it with a black and silver Poura 3-in-1 pour spout, also sold on Amazon. So much better! It looks good, feels quality, allows one handed use, and means I can keep the nice Clubman bottle on display.

Good smell. Very leathery and tobacco. Lather is ok though and could be better for the price.

i've in love with the brand since i discovered by chance but this is the only product that i fell its not on par with the quality of the results and smoth elegant and sothing sensation of wellnes that another products like the beard oil, the aconditioner and the beard balm provide, it leaves the beard hair more like hard,hars,like dry, like if you wanna clean it, this will wash off everything even the mousture and sothines of the beard that you already build up, the smell is citrus like too strong, like more citrus cleaning floors product,is to strong and not fresh like lime but like bergamotas way to sour, its a mixed feeling because it s not bad but its not like gentelmanly smooth but like manly hars that has not been love properly and its bitter about life but stills have basic personal higiene? So you will have to complementing it yes or yes with the aconditioner 2 in1 to see smothing results and also and lastly even the package its not bad and its actually prety stylish it way to price for the content, even tho its that strong that you will be using little of it every time so it will go a long way in your shell, still for tastes there are colors.
