Was very easy to set up and program favourite menus and recorded what I asked for. Great peice of kit

This is basic after having a humax before but does the job. Took me a bit of setting up and couldn't figure out how to record when I turned tv off and needed help from customer services, who were very helpful I have to say. Records 2 channels at once but other than turn channels over no other functions work while recording eg. Can't play recording until it's finished which is bit of a nuisance as like to join a programme while it's still going so can skip through adverts, and can't get on epg while recording. But am getting used to it. Picture quality is good. Very good for the money.

Not very easy to use or alter your recordings. It frequently misses the ends of programmes, not reliable. If it is recording you cannot set up other recordings or use its programme guide. Disappointing. You cannot reliably record a whole TV series on it unless that series keeps to exactly the same time every week, unlike the BT YouView I had previously, which was programme-related. Very basic. Would like to return it but it has taken me months to work out how to use it.

August TV recorder. Good product. Takes a bit of studying, however all comes together and it works well. Consider the cost of branded recorders are £200 plus .The august recorded is a very good price. This unit records one programme at a at a time and programme is possible for a full week on all channels.

Just got this last night and I'm annoyed at it already. When you are recording something it prevents you from accessing the epg. Also it flashes rec on the screen. There is no series link. If you select something to record then it moves back to the start of the day. The epg has gaps in it. If you pause it and watch the program behind then you can't turn go into the epg to record. If your watching TV and want yo scan the guide then it changes the channel. Picture doesn't seem very good either it's OK but just OK. Set up was OK. Remote is abit cheap and nasty.

Set up is easy. You can only programme 8 timer events, a major restriction. Subtitles on recorded programmes don't always show. Recorded programmes do not come with any useful filename, only numberes, so you have to play each file to see what programme it is you have recorded. There is a file rename function but I can't get it to work. You can copy recorded programmes to an external HDD or USB stick (not described in the user manual) but any subtitles are lost in the process. The transfer process is very slow, so I recommend recording to an external device from the start, negating the need to transfer. Although this is a dual tuner, I can't get it to record one channel while watching another, it just says 'Invalid Operation!' and therefore it won't record two different channels at the same time either. But what you CAN do is set the timer to record two different channels at the same time. You cannot play a recording while recording a tv channel. You cannot use the EPG while recording. Whilst previous August DVB boxes had a dedicated tv/radio 'switch' button on the remote, this is no longer the case. Instead there is an option to switch in the 'Channel Manager' in the main menu. The timer events no longer have a tv/radio switch option either, you have to use the Channel Manager' first to go from one to the other, then into the timer. When you are recording, a message saying 'rec' flashes on and off on the top right of the picture, this doesn't seem to be able to be turned off - some could find this distracting. No software updates appear to be available online, it's a dead link.

A good Freeview tuner/recorder, for this price-point. Very impressed that this uses an SSD drive for recording. (Solid state, Not spinning HDD which don't "live" as long in my experience). All menus are easy to use. Picture quality also very good. Pause time on live TV was impressive, but depends on drive capacity remaining, of course. It doesn't let you rewind instantly, unless paused first. A minor here. And yes you can watch a channel when recording another, but you need to input the channel to watch another channel, as the EPG is not available when recording. Also, if recording a film, divided by some "news", ask it to record the other part ! Only minors, and depending what you are used to. This is a good box for me, in my months of use.

Very good unit and extreme quiet due to ssd hard drive. Live picture good but recorded picture blocky and distorted.

Compte tenu du prix, je m'attendais à un appareil basique. Je viens de l'acquérir pour remplacer un Samsung très sophistiqué tombé en panne. Et bien, très agréablement surpris : le disque dur contient plus de 80 heures d'enregistrements. Il se programme grâce au guide ou manuellement, il enregistre aussi en direct et en décalé. Il n'a bien sûr que les chaînes gratuites de la TNT en HD mais ça me suffit largement pour voir mes films où émissions en zappant la PUB. Quelques problèmes avec la notice mal lisible et peu claire. La télécommande trop petite pour mes gros doigts et ses repères en anglais. Satisfait dans l'ensemble.

es un muy buen producto precio prestaciones. aunque no he probado las multiples funcionalidades que ofrece, lo que yo he comprobado que es la de edicion de canales TDT y grabacion programada esta muy bien conseguida. lo mas importante es la facilidad de gestion del funcionamiento, muy intuitivo casi sin necesidad de usar manual de uso. Desde august.com he bajado el manual de operacion en PDF en español porque se queda corto lo enviado con el producto

Muy buen producto, lo que ocurre es que viene SIN enchufe adaptador y he tenido que comprar uno de 3,5 €

Conforme aux spécifications et caractéristiques décrites du produit. Intêret tout particulier pour le disque dur interne de 256 GA, qui évite l'achat d'un disque dur externe ( l'écart de prix avec un modèle " sans" compense largement ). Image 4K ok. Notice en français, installation très simple. Enregistrement à partir des programmes simple. Je met 4 étoiles parce que pas de recul sur la longévité du produit.

ADEMÁS INTENTE COMPRAR OTRO MODELO DE DECODIFICADOR DEL MISMO PROVEEDOR Y CANCELABA LA COMPRA SIN NINGÚN MOTIVO. ATT DE AMAZON NO PUDO CONFIRMARME NINGUNA CAUSA DE ESA CANCELACION
