Motorcycle Top Case, 65L Aluminum Motorcycle Top Box Waterproof

This case was purchased to go on a 2022 Himalayan 411. It feels very well built. The aluminum sides and top don't feel quite as thick as the Royal Enfield panniers for that bike, but none the less, the case feels very sturdy and I like the lighter weight. The latches work very well. The liner is very nice, looks well made and fits in the case perfectly. The pockets in the lid are a nice feature as well. The seal around the lid didn't leak when I sprayed it with a hose. The mounting base almost fit perfectly on the Himalayan frame, but I did have to file a half moon in two rear slots to make the screws fit. The case fits snug on the base but is still easy to remove. Overall it's a really nice case and a good value for the money. A big drawback for me with this case is that the key is a non-US standard design... it's milled out like it shows on the photo... on both sides. The keys have a number, so I contacted Gurblofy about spares, but they told me that they do not sell spare keys, or blank keys either. The case does come with two keys, but I always like to have several spares. Had I known about this key issue I would have looked at one of the several other options for these cases. It may be possible to change the locks, but I have not looked into it yet. I hope this helps...

I have had several motorcycle bags/cases. This is surprisingly well built. The quick release is great. It's lightweight but seams strong enough for my needs. Looks nice and I can actually fit a full face adventure helmet it in.

A lot of people say the box is plastic, while others argue it is aluminum. I posted a question on here and received both answers and decided to take a chance. It turns out the box is 100% aluminum with plastic guards on the outside corners. The locks and clasps seem a little cheap, but the box held up well on my 2000 mile roundtrip to Colorado, through the Rockies, and home, and I experienced no trouble with them. I even went through 3 torrential downpours and not a single drop leaked in. The interior of the box is lined with a removable, faux-leather liner for cushioning. I purchased the 45L and it held my full face Shoei GT Air 2 helmet plus gloves and other odds and ends. The amount I paid for this was totally worth it and it only took me about 20 minutes to mount up to my bike (2014 V-Strom DL650A), although I had to use different hardware. The only thing I really don't care for is the non-removable sticker which has the nonsense name brand. Otherwise, a great box that I'm very happy with.

Love the case. Worth the money. But... I bought both the large and small sizes and THEY AREN'T INTERCHANGEABLE! What??? How hard would it have been to use the same mount dimensions so I can swap them out?

I decided to add some storage and a backrest for my wife, and I have to say this top box exceeded my expectations. Installation was straightforward and went together without any issues. I’ve included several photos from different angles to show the box, mounting system, and fastening points for anyone considering one. I also ordered the matching armrests, which should add even more passenger comfort. Besides looking great on the bike, the box is lockable, provides plenty of storage, and can be removed in just a few seconds when not needed. Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality, fit, and functionality and would definitely recommend it to other IBEX, dual sport and adventure owners.

Shipping and delivery: five stars. It arrived unblemished a day earlier than expected. Installation: Easy. I installed on my 2015 Vstrom adventure. Fit and Finish: It totally matches the stock Suzuki hard side cases that come with the "Adventure" model of the Vstrom. (I could not find a stock Suzuki top case.) They are each heavier than the top case, but mount and function identically. I am pleased. Aluminum or Plastic? I see discussion in these reviews that question the build. I believe that they are aluminum with a coating. The Stock Suzuki hard bags look and feel the same - but when scratched by hard use, the black reveals aluminum underneath. I expect the same, though I have not intentionally scratched this brand new top case. :) So far, worth the purchase! I'll field test this on some lengthy camping trips in the next couple of months.

Good case for the money. Main complaints are the mounting base should be a bit bigger. It's almost as if it were designed for a scooter. I had to machine some spots to get it to fit my Givi rack. I would have liked the mounting base to be at least as wide as my Givi rack. I picked up some 1/4 -20 U-bolts and nylock nuts to secure it much better to the rack than the garbage brackets that are included. They seem to include these cheap crappy brackets with every mount I've seen. They look like they're meant for a cheap bicycle. When you tighten them down they bend and your nuts don't set flush with the surface. They look like something a monkey designed. Anyway, I usually resolve the situation with the u-bolts that I purchased. They were just the right size to fit my inner bars on my Givi rack. However, I had to machine the slots in the base to get everything to line up properly and straight. My other complaint is that the plastic frame work bulges outward a bit between the rivets. The upholstered lining of the lid is not glued and will sag, especially if you use the pockets. Not sure if it's removable so it can be glued, or if it's riveted along with the bulging frame work. I'll have to inspect that further when I have more time or if it really starts to bug me. I like the fact that it only weighs 10 lbs, unlike a similar smaller 22 liter aluminum one that I sent back which weighed over 24 lbs! I thought this one was aluminum. It might be, with a pebbled plastic coating over the top but it's hard to tell. I'm not about to scratch the coating to find out. It does look like an aluminum case, but feels like plastic. Whatever it is, it seems to be pretty durable. The latches are really good quality and operate smoothly, including the locks which are buttery smooth. Overall, I like it for the money and would gladly give it 5 stars had it not been for the few things I mentioned, in particular, the bulging frame between the rivets. As I said, for the price, it's pretty good. I can accept the few flaws for only $102. Most people probably wouldn't notice these nitpicks, but I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my bikes.

Just arrived and packed beautifully. Plastic air cushion prevented any possible damage. Haven’t installed it yet but looks great. Even my friend who bought a $500+ Gavi case was impressed with the quality. Update: Super easy to install - even for a non handyman like myself. Looks great and is very secure when attached to the base. This is aluminum and not plastic as another reviewer had mentioned. I recommend this product.
