Quality water filter
I did a lot of research before buying this Epic water filter and so far am very pleased & the water tastes great. The instructions were clear and easy to follow so the setup was a breeze. I did notice a few negative reviews about it on Amazon but haven’t experienced any of the issues that were mentioned. btw - my main reason for buying this filter was to remove chloramine, which it’s marketed as being effective for (unlike most pitcher type water filters).

There's one big design flaw. But overall a decent product
When I pour the water, the lid and reservoir slip out. The first time I poured, it came flying out and nearly smashed on the ground. I have tried everything to fix it, but it appears to be designed like this or I have a faulty unit. I must hold the lid on when I pour, and it's a hassle. Other than that, the product works as advertised I suppose, water tastes decent. I really like the reservoir size, it seems to be bigger than most pitchers. The wooden handle is a nice touch.

Flawed pitcher style water filter.
A nice water filter with some serious design flaws. These are just a few of them. The filter works by gravity, and is painfully slow. You thread a filter on the bottom of the inner plastic water tank and it dribbles water out the bottom. Once the bottom of the filter is submerged in water you cannot see if it is running or not. Since it is gravity fed not all the water will go through the filter. There is always some unfiltered water remaining inside and above the filter. When you pour water out of the pitcher whatever unfiltered water is left inside and above the filter pours into your glass too. With the top of the inner tank wide open when you tip the pitcher over unfiltered water is free to pour in with your filtered water, and since the water and plastic look the same it is nearly impossible to see that you are drinking unfiltered water too. If you pour too much water into the inner container it overflows freely into the bottom and mixes with the filtered water, since the lid is dark blue plastic you cannot readily see the inner tank water level so its easy to overfill it and mix filtered and unfiltered water. You cannot tip the pitcher over far enough to pour out all the filtered water. Since the filter retains unfiltered water every time you lean the pitcher over some raw water comes out of the filter and into the inner container and mixes as you pour. About the most water you should put in the upper/inner container is two 12-ounce glasses, then go find something else to do for about 60 minutes while it slowly filters the water. You cannot pour in water then after a few minutes pour yourself a glass of water because the unfiltered water is free to flow out the pitcher spout along with the filtered water. The directions say the filter cartridges do not remove all the minerals because they are good for you. But if I am buying this to filter city water I want it to function as a filter and not as a partial filter. Yes, minerals can be good for us but they are also plentiful in the foods we eat so we don't really need it in our drinking water too. What I want from a filter is honest filtration, not something that tries to increase my magnesium and sodium intake because of their personal beliefs. Either be a filter or don't but don't try to be a nutritionist too, when you're not. If they decided to not filter magnesium and I have a diet rich in magnesium I don't need someone who knows nothing about my diet to decide I need more. After several days of use I have buyers remorse that I purchased this filter.

Filters alot more than the average filtering pitcher
I like it so far. The documentation that comes with the pitcher seems to cover all of the issues that other reviews have complained about, so do read the little booklet that is included. One point of confusion for me was the documentation says the Pure filter is white with THREE holes in the top, and the Nano filter is grey with ONE hole. The filter I received is white, with one hole. Amazon customer service verified that Epic modified the design and that I did have the Pure filter, which I preferred instead of the Nano. I've been drinking bottled spring water for years, so I don't even know what our unfiltered tap water tastes like, but the Epic filtered water seems to feel smooth when I drink it, which sounds weird that water has a "feel", but that's the first think I thought. I guess I'm not used to whatever minerals remains after filtering, but it seems fine to me. The pitcher works well. The water seems to pass through the filter in a reasonable amount of time (see video), and when I pour it, the little flap lifts itself just fine, and there are no dribbles or messes like some other reviews have complained about. Make sure that the reservoir is placed in the pitcher correctly - this is mentioned in the booklet - and I did put it in wrong myself initially, which will cause the lid to not fit correctly. When it is installed correctly, the lid snugs down on the pitcher securely. As a 68 y.o. woman, I find the handle comfortable to hold and pour with the pitcher full. I also like how the little tab on the flip up lid is kind of rubbery feeling so it holds the lid up out of the way when the reservoir is filling (see picture). I like that the Pure filter lasts for 150 gallons. That should be around 5 months based on how much water I drink and cook with, so it will be cost effective as it is just for me, and I like that it also filters flouride along with the other long list of nasties that I don't want to ingest. This pitcher seems to be a good balance of function and price compared to other options.

Water you can trust, fresh and clean and safe.
I’ve been trying to make healthier swaps in my home, and this water filter pitcher has been one of my favorite purchases. I really like that it filters out things like PFAS, lead, chlorine, and microplastics while still looking clean and modern on the counter. The bamboo-style handle gives it a more elevated look than most water pitchers, and the water tastes noticeably fresher. It feels well made, easy to fill, and gives me extra peace of mind about the quality of the water my family is drinking.”

Good tasting water, but has a few design flaws.
Pros of the water filter: It does taste great, and I loved that it can filter out forever chemicals/other contaminants. Cons: It takes a while to filter the water, my fiancé and I drink a lot of water. It says it holds 1 gallon, but that's with the filtered water and refilling the unfiltered chamber. So you will be filling it up a lot and waiting at least 10-15mins before it has filtered the full amount. The issues I have with the design: you have to physically open/close the spout otherwise the filtered water will spill everywhere when pouring. If the chamber is full and you try pouring it, you have to hold the lid to the top because it will fall open and unfiltered water will spill everywhere. Lastly, there has been a green film that has shown up twice in the filtered water chamber. I cleaned the pitcher with soap/water before using, and after the first time I noticed the green growth. Has anyone had this problem? If the water is filtered, I am not sure what is growing in the water. I am currently looking for a different filter because of this issue.

Great Pitcher
I really loved this water pitcher. The taste is clean, crisp, and you can definitely tell the filter is high quality. It’s easy to use, and the design is great for families. However, my family and I drink a lot of water, which means we have to replace the filter much sooner than the recommended 90 days. After about 45 days of regular use, the filter starts slowing down and can take up to an hour just to filter a full pitcher. The filtration still works, but the wait time becomes very long. The only downside is the cost. At around $50 per replacement filter, having to change them more often gets expensive. It is a really good pitcher with excellent water quality; just be prepared for more frequent filter changes if you drink a lot of water.

Very happy with this purchase
We have been using it for some time now, I just installed a replacement filter. We live in an area with really hard water and this filter made a huge difference. There is no residue in the kettle after boiling the filtered water, and it tastes great. The filter kind of stopped working after 75 days instead of the recommended 90- the water was going through too slowly, but like I said, our water is has a high mineral content so I expected that.

It really is rather epic .......
My priority is to eliminate fluoride as well as chlorine and many other nasties, so Brita and other cheap filters are off the list. I first bought Fill2Pure from Amazon which ticked all the boxes nicely, but no sooner had I bought it, the replacement filters became unavailable in the UK. Then I moved on to ZeroWater which I didn’t like on many levels. Water tasted strangely flat, filters didn’t last long and you are advised to test water every couple of days (with a device that was faulty on mine) - big effort in any event, and ZeroWater weren’t overly helpful sorting the issue out. Filters were expensive and short lived - the water tastes of rotten fish after a few weeks. Also I didn’t like the fact that it removes many essential minerals from the water that are beneficial and not harmful. So I just bought the Epic Pure Water Filter jug and it seems the best yet by far. Water tastes great, easy to fill - just have to open little opening on top, not remove whole lid, pours well and takes moments (not hours as some reviews suggest) for water to filter through and (apparently and hopefully) removes fluoride, chlorine and numerous other vileness that Brita and other cheapies can’t, but not the good health enhancing minerals. I understand this will mean your kettle still scales up, but a small price to pay, and not the main issue for me personally. If you’re going to filter your water for your health you may as well do it properly in my opinion. I’ve only had the Epic for a few days, but I like the fact that apparently the water just starts to flow through slower when filter needs replacing (rather than flowing through merrily, needing testing every couple of days and then tasting of rotten fish). And although filters are expensive, if they last 3/4 months, money well spent I feel. There is a 90 day filter replacement warning device incorporated but hoping the slowing trickle will alert me sufficiently. As long as the filters remain available, so far the Epic knocks spots off the others in my view.

Well made and pours well
I hardly ever leave reviews, but had to with this product. I had been really sceptical after reading other reviews but having had this jug for a few days I’d say the build quality is actually very good. Plus it has good styling and looks great too. Personally I’d say it’s as well made as a Brita. We use this in an office environment and so far it’s been well received. So much so I’ll buy another one. The water quality after filtering is excellent. I’d definitely put this up there with some of the better quality spring waters. The difference is literally night and day. We’ve had no poring issues what do ever. Other reviews had said that when the top reservoir has water in it, it can push the lid off. But we take some self responsibility and either a) let the water filter through first, or b) hold the lid when we pour. That way it’s guaranteed not to leak, or push the lid off. Plus it seems to pour perfectly too. This is being used daily in an office, so if there was issues I’m sure they would have arisen by now. Pity the replacement filters are so expensive but that’s a small price to pay for clean water, and may be as the brand grows the price will reduce. The one other thing we liked was this filter removed plastics and other nasties, but leaves the naturals trace minerals. All in all a great design, well made leaving us with great tasting and most importantly clean and safe water.
