Great entry level tripod at this price
Bought this as a travel tripod to take anywhere in the car, as my old one was a big heavy beast... thought for the money, you cant really go wrong. The price point is very good. So when it arrived I thought Id give it a test. On opening the box, I saw a lovely, strong carry bag with sturdy zip. It felt a nice weight. not too heavy to carry places. Inside was a nice looking tripod with some nice detailing to make it look modern and more expensive than it was. The head even had another bag over to protect it, which I thought was a nice touch. It had 4 section clip-lock legs and rubber feet, with a height adjustable centre column with a weight hook underneath for added stability. To test it I used my heaviest camera and lens combo on it, and it held them pretty strong, after giving the tightener on the head a good twist. It needed doing up pretty tight but it held a 5d mk 3, with battery grip and 70-200 with no problem. I tried it from the camera body just to see, but it felt much sturdier mounting it to the lens collar, but thats what its there for. I did a couple of tests in low light with exposures of 5 seconds, and they seemed pretty sharp so the tripod was doing its job well. I did have a bit of weight hanging from the hook under the centre column, purely because my camera and lens were so heavy, but id always recommend doing that anyway. Fully extended I found this tripod to be a great size. Im 5'10 and I couldnt reach my eye to the viewfinder at full height so it would easily suit the taller photographer. As with any tripod, it operate best slightly under full height. The centre column and lower part of the legs can introduce shake, so I would only extend those if necessary, but they arent weak by any means. My overall impressions are that this is a great entry level tripod for those looking for something light, strong, and good value for money. Id definitely recommend it. I tried it with a 6d mk 2 and 24-105 too, and with that combo it was a dream, but I like to test things to the extreme before reviewing.

More than I had hoped for
I was disappointed when I ordered the item and then realised it was coming from abroad and would take a month for delivery. The tripod was shipped out the day after I placed my order and arrived 12 days later which is fantastic service. The item was well packaged, plastic outer wrap over a layer of bubble wrap which meant the box was in perfect condition when I unwrapped it. Inside the box was a heavy duty nylon carrier bag with handle and detachable shoulder strap. The tripod inside was in a plastic bag and silicon packs were included to keep the damp off the tripod. The head was covered with a velvet bag for extra protection which was a nice touch. I was immediately impressed with the weight and quality of the tripod and appreciated the foam sleeve on one leg as tripods are always cold to handle. The legs extend with simple clip release action and they are in four sections so plenty of height without having to extend the neck, The clips are stiff but not so much that you have to fight with them and they ensure the legs are able to support the camera. The clips at the tops of the legs are easy to use and allows you to move the leg position for more stability or simply to lower the tripod height. The centre pole can be removed and inverted so the camera can be placed lower to the ground. The ball head is smooth and once secured very stable. It can be turned smoothly through 360 degrees and the ball once locked in place is very secure. The plate to attach the camera to the head is metal and the attachment is very secure I would have no worries about hanging my camera upside down on this head. There is a wrist strap to ensure you have complete control of your tripod if holding it in a precarious position such as the edge of a cliff or waterfall or balanced on the side of a boat, where ever you balance it the strap will ensure you don't lose both tripod and camera. Aesthetically the tripod looks expensive, the black and gold makes it look classy and although not an important feature of a tripod is still worth noting. I would happily recommend this tripod to others, for the cost of under fifty pounds including ball head and postage you can't go wrong with this fabulous item. I am sure it will give me many years of use.

Good (not great) Tripod for a Good Price.
Overall it's a very good tripod. At first I was somewhat taken aback by how heavy it was, but to be fair the weight is listed so no room for complaint and very quickly get used to it - had it on my back for 30 miles cycling yesterday and hardly noticed it. The legs fix in place nice and firmly and fully extended the camera is eye level and I'm 5ft10, perfect. But....as noted by "Siney - 2 March 2016", I find panning SUCH hard work as although the swivel head seems solidly built, the resistance is HUGE and is impossible to modify. As a result it's not smooth, not because of shoddy construction causing jumps, but it seems that the resistance is hydraulic and will move slowly to begin with but extremely slowly once pressure has built up. It is definitely NOT a tripod for sports or panoramas which is a shame as panoramas was one of the main reasons for buying it. Also the legs don't slide up or down very smoothly, there's inconsistency between legs. Minor point in overall usability but that's not something that you would expect of a tripod at this price level. Once extended, fully or partially the legs are firmly held in place, the leg angling mechanism is very good and once you work out (instructions missing) how to invert the tripod it's very easy to use for downward macros. It's not a top quality tripod but then it's not a top quality price, so 4 out of 5 just about sums it up - good tripod for a good price.

Awesome Tripod!
This tripod was awesome and was given a beating for 4 years before starting to show issues. I think that was more on my carelessness vs the build of this tripod. When rushing during shoots to set-up & pack-down all my kit, I used to unhook the clips and sling the legs out and I think it eventually cracked some of the plastic. Keep in mind, this was my first tripod and lasted through personal and professional shoots for years! This has been anywhere from hiking and camping in rain and snow... to multiple office shoots in a day. Divide the cost over the 4-5 years of ownership and it's like a costa coffee. Incredible value for money in my opinion, while also not feeling cheap. It's sturdy and robust and can carry a decent payload too. It 'can' hold my cinema camera with a 400mm lens, but it does show some flex when the legs are spaced wide.. but for any photography or mirrorless video work, I think this is a great option.

Strong and light tripod for Travellers.
This is a great travel Tripod for me. I'm really happy with it. The quality of this tripod is really impressive. when taken out of the box, you're introduced to the thick and durable carry case in which the tripod lies. The body of the tripod feels strong and robust. I believe its made of aluminium, when pulling out the legs they click in to place letting you know how far you have pulled them out and gives you a sense of security, knowing that this isn't going to fold in. each click and clip feels like its permanent, (until you want to change it) The body is made of aluminium so it's light and durable. You can carry it with one hand or even attach it to your own backpack or camera bag. The head is very straight forward to use, the ball joint at the top lets you have the camera in any position you desire. you can turn from landscape to portrait in seconds. This tripod goes as high as 62" which is almost as tall as me, (i'm 6ft) but as it extends to this height, it does then start to get a little weak, but it can be weighed down with a camera bag hook at the bottom. The Tripod can have all its legs at 90 degrees and and get really low. Overall this tripod is strong and durable for most and everyday camera usage and Ideal for any photographer looking for a compact tripod solution.

A great tripod, first was faulty (leaked lubrication gel from the head) replacement was spot on!
Note, edits at the end of the review regarding fault. Wanted a more compact tripod to replace a cheap as chips tripod I've had many years use out of, as I wanted to do a bit more landscape photography, this would be much easier to carry. Based on reviews this seemed perfect. It arrived very well packaged, with a nice little pouch cover the head to protect it, the carry bag also has the added option of a shoulder strap and I like that one of the legs has a foam coating around it, helps keep your hands a little warmer when carrying it in the winter. The trip is very compact, lightweight and very sturdy in windy conditions. It states it’s quick release, which to me, means flicking a little lever and it’s released, this you have to screw to tighten around the plate, ok only a few seconds, but when your hands are freezing, screwing and unscrewing something isn’t always easy to do! That was just a minor niggle for me though and one I was happy to live with as I was impressed with the tripod. However, after just a few weeks of use it started to leak a sticky gel from where the head rotates. I would’ve expected this from my cheapo tripod, but not one at this price. I understand it’ll need some kind of gel to keep the rotation so smooth, but had I known it would leak as much as it does I would’ve chosen another tripod, as it gets all over everything. Reading through the reviews there only seems to be one other who's experienced this, so I'm guessing I just have a faulty one. Sadly I’m outside of the return window now so just have to make do until I can afford to replace it. ***Edit 04/12 - Seller (dcmall) contacted me within hours of this review being published, and advised the tripod is faulty, they sent a replacement out which was received the next day. Will test the new one and update my review accordingly*** ***Edit 11/12 - Tested the replacement tripod this weekend, and it's been great. When comparing the two, I noticed the head on the first was very loose/wobbly in comparison to the replacement, which makes me believe the first one I received was definitely faulty. I slipped and fell on the replacement this weekend on the ice, no breakages (tripod or me) the head is still solid and leaks no gel. Very happy with the service provided by the seller (thank you) and now very happy with the tripod!***

TM2324 - An Excellent tripod, fantastic value and very well made.
I needed a medium sized tripod that I could carry around the countryside when taking landscapes and wildlife photographs. This is the perfect size and weight to enable me to do this, the model I chose being the TM2324. It comes with a lovely (well made) carrying bag that has both a handgrip and a shoulder strap which makes it really easy to lug around. It only takes about 60 seconds to get out of the bag and set-up and ready to go. It is very easy to adjust and very stable with the tripod legs splayed out. The quality of manufacture surprised me as it is at least the equal of any tripod that I have bought before, it certainly appears to be built to last. The quick detach plate on the tripod head is also well made and a nice feature as it is possible to detach the camera quickly if required for handheld shots, and it doesn't get in the way.

it seemed sturdy and although light
When the tripod arrived I was quite impressed. For the price, it seemed sturdy and although light, I was confident it could easily handle my DSLR camera, with battery pack and a large lens. As I’m not using the camera much in the winter, I put the tripod up in a spare room, with a field telescope mounted. I noticed the ball head movement seemed rather stiff, making panning awkward, but never having had a modern tripod before, I assumed they were “all like that.” I barely used it in the first week I had it, but was getting concerned about the stiffness when panning, and started to wonder if there was a problem. I had backed of the adjusters to their minimum friction, but it didn’t make any difference. On day six, I went to look through the telescope and guided it with my hand on the ball head.....only to feel a very sticky, glue like substance leaking out where it rotates. I have had to return the tripod, and cannot praise Amazon enough for their prompt refund. I can not recommend this item though, for the reasons stated. Add! Since writing this report I have had some positive responses from the seller, and they acknowledged there was an issue with the oil leaking from the ball head...which they have now sorted out. They have also replaced the tripod with another one (and indeed uprated me to a better one!) So I have to amend this review and mark it differently in the light of the great customer service. Very happy with this tripod, and it works and looks brilliantly. Thanks to dcmall (the seller) for sorting this out for me and proving that good customer service can be achieved. It's appreciated.

A solid value for money tripod!
The tripod came with a carry bag and was very easy to set up. As a beginner photgrapher/videographer I am very satisfied with the quality of the product but also the flexibility and design of the product. It folds up into a compact form, it provides a bunch of other uses like the tilt, turn and set up choices that I have yet to explore. I'm very happy with the tripod and am particularly fond of their attention to detail from rubber bumpers to protect the camera and for grip on the tripod legs!

Excellent Choice
At this price point I was unsure of the quality of the tripod but I can say that the K&H concept is an amazing tripod for photography. Here are my pros and cons for this piece of equipment: Pros: - Snap locking legs are the way to go; don't waste your time with twist-to-lock legs. I have been able to set up and take a full panorama picture with my K&F Concept before some friends with twist locking leg tripods have been able to set up and pull off a single shot. It's easy and fast to make any minor adjustments and never slips once tightened. - Rock solid even in winds. Although weight may seem like an initial con, the fact is that this tripod is light enough to carry with you yet heavy enough to sustain moderate to somewhat heavy winds for long exposures. If in extreme heavy winds the tripod includes a mounting hook for sandbags or any weight (including hanging your camera bag). - Fits perfectly with my (also purchased) Peak Design Everyday Messenger Bag. https://www.peakdesign.com/everyday-messenger The padded leg of the tripod acts as extra protection for my gear when I slide the tripod into my camera bag. This extra detail has led me to bring this tripod with me more than any other tripod. - The amazing ball head. With the built-in level the K&F Concept ball head is worth the price of admission. It is light yet extremely durable and can handle some pretty intense weight (Nikon d500 with battery pack and 18-35mm in portrait mode) Cons: - Unless mounted with the leveling head facing away from the lens the ball head has some trouble reaching full portrait orientation without changing the heights of the legs. However, the snap locking legs make those adjustments easy to make. Customer Service: Immediate and thorough. Conclusion: At this price point the K&F Concept is the tripod to go for. It’s value is amazing and the support team is fast and reliable. I can’t recommend this enough for newcomers or professionals looking to add a versatile yet affordable piece of kit to their collection. Well done K&H!
