CERAKOTE® Ceramic Glass Coat Protectant, Rain Repellent for Cars, 4 Wipes

This review is after 5 ½ months of use. I’ve recently noticed that the rain is no longer beading up and sliding off my windshield without the need for wipers as it has been doing. I’ve decided to use my remaining 2 packages to get the water to sheet off like a new application of rainX. I use an extreme cleaning process prior to application. 1. Clean with Dawn dishwater cleaner. 2. Clay bar the surface. 3. Polish glass with an abrasive designed for glass. 4 Final cleaning with 50% isopropyl alcohol. 5. Wash the entire car. I noticed that after this rediculously excessive process the Cerakote had been restored. Super slick with water sheeting off nicely. I will go ahead and do the second application since I had done an outstanding job of cleaning all glass surfaces first thing tomorrow morning with an ambient temperature of 60 – 65°F. Bottom line … excellent product with reasonable cost. It appears that environmental contamination was my only problem. Overall performance is significantly better than Rain X. The water sheeting is not as good but it’s lasting more than 6 months.

I am a huge fan of CERAKOTE products and this was amazing. I used a glass stripper to get a very clean surface, and followed up with several rounds of rinsing and my own mix of glass cleaner. Dried thoroughly with microfiber towel. Followed directions. I did it on all of my windows and side mirrors, as a personal preference. Absolutely worth the elbow grease. You can immediately visually tell a difference. I'm curious to see how it holds up in heavy rain and how long it lasts! It says it doesn't fix imperfections, but I had some windshield scratching from cheap wipers that damaged my glass. I will credit them in saying that it didn't fix the problem (and I didn't expect it to), however the smaller scratching is much less noticeable in my opinion. Very budget friendly and easy too

I’ve always thought my car’s windshield was tough — until the first rainstorm hit and turned it into a slippery mess. Enter CERAKOTE® Ceramic Glass Coat Protectant, which I like to call the “invisible force field” for your glass. Applying it was surprisingly easy — no weird chemicals or complicated rituals, just a little elbow grease and some patience. Once on, it felt like my windshield suddenly got superpowers. Water beads up and runs off like it’s auditioning for a Hollywood action scene. Driving in the rain? Suddenly, my wipers are more like decorative accessories than lifesavers. Bonus: It also keeps bugs and dirt from sticking as much, so my windshield looks cleaner longer. Which is great, because let’s be real, I’m not exactly the world’s most dedicated car washer. If you want your glass to repel everything but compliments, this is your product. Just don’t be surprised if you find yourself bragging to your passengers about your “ceramic shield” every time it rains.

First go is more of a learning process. Which is learning that it evaporates super fast like rubbing alcohol, so you have to apply it as quickly as possible to get to the 2nd part of the learning process, learning how far one wipe will go, which is dependant on how quickly you can move. For my truck, it takes 2 wipes to do it correctly and not run around. You can stretch one to do it if you rush, but it still doesn't lay down as much of the coating as two does. So 2 for the windshield is right for my Silverado 1500, which isn't breaking the bank, but it isn't exactly cheap either. The large pack doesn't come with a single pair of gloves or a single microfiber rag, which blows my mind, as the packets are telling you to use the included items that aren't even included. It's ok if you own these items, but if not, may as well buy the smaller packs and get those items. I also just use wax or Rain-X for the sides, as it's too expensive to use this for the whole truck. Overall, it really does work well. It lasts a good while, it doesn't have the fogged up windshield look like Rain X does. Everything is on the outside. No fog up in the inside. It's crystal clear, no streaks, and you can see well in the rain. Dirt washes right off. Looks great. Just difficult to apply to get just right. And a bit expensive.

It was quite easy to put the product on but the water beads right off the windows!!

Works about 1000 times better than rain X. Even the dust just blows right off the windshield and it doesn't accumulate on the back window of my SUV anymore. All claim substantiated. Definitely worth it.

I cleaned my windshield with a good glass cleaner and then went back over the windshield with 91% alcohol. I followed directions on Creakote box and watched a video on YouTube to make sure I applied this product exactly the way it should be. I’m kinda disappointed, I don’t think this glass protectant is any better than RainX and might not be as good at repelling water.

You can't beat the quality and shine for the price. It works.

Maravilloso, si la aplicación se hace correctamente limpiando a conciencia la luna. El resultado es genial. Las gotas de agua se desplazan por la luna sin problemas a menos de 10kmh. Un consejo, aprovecha para ponerlo también en los retrovisores y en la cámara de marcha atrás. Con 2 sobres de los 4 que vienen, da para hacer un coche entero, 2 lunas, 4 ventanas, espejos y camara.

Ich verwende dieses Produkt seit einiger Zeit zur Keramikversiegelung von Windschutzscheiben an Kraftfahrzeugen und bin wirklich begeistert von seiner Wirksamkeit. Wasser perlt bereits bei 60 km/h von der Scheibe ab, und ab 80 km/h auf der Autobahn benötigt man die Scheibenwischer nicht mehr. Im Winter lässt sich Eis dank der Versiegelung viel leichter von der Scheibe entfernen. Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Haltbarkeit der Versiegelung davon abhängt, wie oft man die Scheibenwischer benutzt, durch die Reibung der Wischer wird die Keramikbeschichtung dünner.. Bei häufiger Benutzung hält die Versiegelung kürzer (meiner Erfahrung nach hält sie bei normaler Nutzung der Scheibenwischer etwa 4–6 Monate).

First impressions very positive. Took time in applying on a non sunny day. Prepped the glass well beforehand. Been drying the past four hours and the glass is extremely slick which is a great sign. I’ll report back if I change my mind based on longevity or wiper issues.
