ORTONYX Umbilical Hernia Belt for Women and Men, Abdominal Binder, S-M

I have had multiple major abdominal surgeries in the past year. The last one resulted in a large bulging hernia at the top of the central vertical incision. It is pretty unsightly. I was also trying to walk without any support, which was uncomfortable because I have no abdominal muscles left, to speak of. So, I looked around for a support of some kind. The Ortonyx Belt has helped a lot. First, the special interior pad pushes the hernia in and has improved my appearance. There is no discomfort with that. Second, the belt provides support for walking and doing basic stuff around the house. Overall, I've been pretty happy with the belt. It's comfortable so that you're not really conscious of it. I would say it's akin to wearing a wristwatch. You're not really aware of it but you wouldn't want to sleep in it. I chose the Small Size. I have a 34" waist. It's just big enough for me.

The quality is excellent! Really beyond my expectations and brought immediate relief to me! Would def reccomend to anyone who needs the support. This one has grip, strength, looks good, perfect in my eyes!

I have a very active job, and I can't just take two months off to wait for corrective surgery for my hernia. This belt has made it possible for me to accomplish bursts of activity without the pain. It's not perfect, though. When I wear it for a while, my stomach starts to get sore in non-hernia ways from the hard insert. It's also hot and scratchy, and bending down is difficult with it on. I try to save it for when I really need to get stuff done. Some people say they can't get the Velcro attached. I have no problems reaching around to fasten it. Overall, I'm very glad to have purchased this and I strongly recommend it. But having a hernia sucks and waiting months for surgery is such a bummer.

I just had a portion of my colon removed and this product made it possible to move around soooo much easier afterwards. I wore it while I was recovering in the hospital, and ever since I got home. I anticipate needing it for at least 4-6 weeks after surgery. Simple abdominal movements cause discomfort. This keeps tissue from pulling & makes sitting up, coughing & turning so much easier. Doctors don’t like prescribing opioids very much & this great invention helps to get by with minimal amounts. Im 5’6”, and the width is perfect. I’d probably go with a wider band if I was >6’ and most of my abdomen needed supported.

The little bubble piece is worth the money alone. The belt is small. I should’ve bought the XL and I’m not a big guy. 5’7 170 muscular so I wrap a surgery belt around first then use this as extra support. Since the belt has to be fasted in the back. I just reverse it to hold the other belt and bubble thingy in place. Why send it back. It works with my set up. The cost is a little high but that bubble piece is what we really need. I leave it on all day and since I have that soft survey belt first it’s comfortable. But this belt by its self. Might feel some discomfort if on the skin directly. All in all it’s a good belt.

While I liked the feel and quality of the belt, it runs small. I'm tiny at 5'3", 115 lbs but I could barely wrap it to the first Velcro strip (its largest size)%--9787. I measured my hernia waist twice at 34.5" and ordered appropriately. I should have had plenty of wrap in order to loosen it some, but couldn't and it was too tight. I will be returning it.

I use it for weight lifting, with the pressure piece in place. Works as well as expected, that is: it's keeping my small ventral hernia from popping out during my workouts. I wear it over my T-shirt, as it feels a bit rough to put against my skin. It's been comfortable for the duration of my workouts, roughly 30 min.

They run small in size

I have been a bodybuilder for over 20 years and 2 months ago, suffered a rupture to my navel. It wasn't painful, but was enough to protrude through my training tops and cause embarrassment. I spoke with a quack, who stated that it would heal in around a month. It didn't. I bought this belt and within a week, had already promoted the repair and looked better. In another week or 2, I won't need it any further. However, will keep for the future. Not the most comfortable when you are seated for an extended period of time, but it's a small price to pay for the healing factor. The waist band is slim fitting and very discreet.

Bought the same item a month ago and it was great, so bought another. Totally different one received, which is not nearly as good. The fastener is gone, which made it easy to adjust on the older model. The new one has a thin strip of Velcro instead.

胃癌により胃をダビンチで2／3切除。術後5ヶ月目位に臍の横がふっくらしていて、腹筋が繋がって居なくて数センチの穴が空いるのに気がついた。即、検診の結果、腹壁瘢痕ヘルニアとの診断、これ以上大きくはならないと思うが手術もできるとの事。今はメッシュを使った手術をするか迷っている状態だが、一ヶ月程腰痛用コルセットや腹帯にて暫く様子を見ることにしていた。しかしながら少し煩わしいのでネットで他のサポートベルトを探していてこれを見つけました。今朝届いたばかりで着用して数時間ですが、コルセットより締め付けがキツくならず、腹帯よりしっかりしていて、ヘルニア部分もしっかりサポートして呉れるので非常に良い感じです。暫く使って見て使用状況を再度報告したいと思っています。
