Great Tactical Pack!
If you are looking for a high quality, smaller sized, MOLLE pack for tracking, hiking, camping, or Bug Out plans, this is the backpack for you! I was a little concerned about how good the quality would be, but I can say that I was not disappointed. This backpack is sturdy and well put together. I think it will last me a long time as long as I treat it well. When it arrived, I was surprised at first at how small it is. Of course, being empty, it was not expanded to its full size and that colored my first impression a bit. Don’t be fooled by the size, this pack can hold more than one may think. The main compartment is quite large. One could fit several MRE’s, medical supplies, ammo, full size text books, or other miscellaneous supplies as needed. I am a big fan of how the zippers go all the way down the base of the pack so you can open it up completely. Still, in the main compartment there is a small mesh net about the size of a netbook or tablet computer, as well as a zipper compartment near the top of the pack for storing pencils, compasses, protractors, or whatever smaller items you’d like within easy reach, yet still protected within the main compartment. The second compartment’s zippers do not go all the way to the base, and this section is narrower that the first. This would be a good place to set any long, thin items you may be carrying. There is also a small pocket in this section about five inches deep and six inches across. For now, I use it to store my pocket HAM radio Repeater Directory. On the outside of this small pocket (still within the Second Compartment of the Backpack) is a mesh pocket divided into two sections.Lastly, there are two outermost zipper pockets that can be plainly seen in the seller’s picture of the backpack. In the lower outermost pocket, there is a section of pockets that could be used to store pencils or other writing materials. This pocket is also very useful to carry almost any average sized book such as a survival guide, Bible, or notebook. If you wanted, you could also fit most small to medium sized binoculars into this pocket. There are also plenty of adjustment straps to ensure that all of your gear stays locked down tight and doesn't rattle around while your moving. On to the MOLLE webbing. Personally, I think this backpack could have definitely had more webbing. However, the webbing that is on the pack is well placed. I was able to attach my shotgun Scabbard (http://www.amazon.com/NcStar-Tactical-Shotgun-Scabbard-CVSCB2917G/dp/B004691VNG/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1) to the side of this backpack without too much trouble (aside from the scabbard being much longer than the pack itself). Now all I have to do is attach my machete sheath to the other side… I really like the fact that the topmost zipper pouch has MOLLE that is covered with the ‘loop’ side of vecro. This is great for those who’ll want to attach a name tag, flag, unit patch, or any other kind of insignia onto it as they see fit. Of course, if you don’t want any of those things, you can still just use the MOLLE.I think the only place that disappointed me in the MOLLE department was the shoulder straps. I am one of those guys who likes to attach a survival knife to one of the shoulder straps on all my backpacks. I have a great knife that has a MOLLE sheath and I am slightly disappointed that I can’t put it anywhere on this pack that I could access it quickly. Oh well, this pack still gets five stars; you can’t beat the quality.

Fantastic for the price.
Durable, looks good and comes in OD green; my favorite color. Looks like the Condor version but is simply better.Problems / Issues1) Strange and messy stitching patterns on one of the attachment points. Doesn't look like it will become a durability issue though.2) No flap over the zipper; this could keep water or dust out.3) I wish it was just a tad bigger. About an inch or two wider.4) Not really a problem but the logo on the bag has changed. It is not embroidered on anymore is now a stitched on rubbery rectangle. Doesn't look too bad but the lettering and border is light in color compared to the rest of the bag.5) Zipper handles are only pieces of paracord tied to it. Don't expect these to stay on. One came off but I easily tied it back on.6) I read this on a different review but they said that the bottom straps are long enough to be able to carry a bed roll or something like that. They are not long enough unless you are using a towel as a bed roll.7) A few straps didn't have their ends stitched off. No big deal though, they shouldn't fray too easily. The Good Things1) Strong stitching.2) Very strong zipper. You won't see these things stripping away from each other. I can manage to STUFF a 17" laptop in mine. You probably shouldn't expect to fit more than a 15" or 16" though.3) Tons of attachment points.4) Back padding is a nice touch.5) Chest and waist strap is removable6) The inside is lined with plastic. (Water resistance.)7) The tightening straps are effective.8) Cheap. The best thing about this bag is that you're not spending too much for something that should last a long time. Despite its few flaws and the issues that I have with it, I still give it 5 stars simply because I didn't end up spending more than $100 for a Maxpedition bag.Update: 07/12/2013 Downgraded to 4 stars. The right strap broke off a lil whiles back. The bottom right side where the arm strap attaches to the rectangular piece that is also the joint for the hip strap tore off. It wasn't the stitching but the actual rectangular section of nylon that ripped. I stitched it back on with a million stitches so it won't break off again. I also noticed that the stitches on the other side were looking a little loose so I reinforced those with extra stitches. I believe the problem stems from the angle at which the rectangular piece is being pulled from by the strap. I have over stuffed the bag a few times but I probably didn't put more than 30lbs into it at one time.Everything else is still holding up. I love the zippers. I would still buy this again. If they changed the way the arm straps attached to the bottom, this bag would be near perfect.
