Ravensburger Children Puzzles The Sweet Shop - Ages 10+

One of my favourite puzzles that I continue to return to. It’s very coloured with lots of detail. Easy to get a nice rhythm when fitting pieces and being only 500 pieces, it doesn’t take too long to finish. Strong, sturdy pieces and comes with a print of the image, which is handy.

Such a busy picture! So many tiny little people and creatures to find among the confectionary...brilliant puzzle.

Nice puzzle but it was incomplete, one missing piece and one duplicate. If you buy a puzzle make sure you assemble it within in 6 months. After 6 months Ravensburger wash their hands of the item even if it is their error as the box was sealed and you will be stuck with a puzzle you cannot finish.

Fabulous Jigsaw and i appreciated the picture insert. It looks busy but was great with the calligraphy labels and coloured shelf’s - a real joy to complete.

This my absolute favourite puzzle. Here's my veritable essay on why. 1. Perfect for beginner puzzlers as a starting point. Pieces can be sorted into edges, different shelf colours, different shelf backing colours, animals with different texture images, larger mini images within with distinctive colours, prints, text and patterns. 2. For the very reasons that make this puzzle perfect for beginners, makes it great for intermediate puzzlers, since it's good to practise piece recognition. Completing it without referring to the final image adds more challenge, yet still relatively easy. 3. Can be completed in a matter of hours, low stakes. 4. Where other puzzles may be a bit of a challenge to complete in a group, because it's difficult to track who is working on which area of the puzzle, each person can be allotted a section/pattern/shelf very easily. 5. Can be differentiated very easily to work with puzzlers of different ages and abilities. Once, when I finished it, I split the puzzle into baggies of between 10-50 pieces. At a later date I took it out for an easy way to pass the time with a 7 and 11 year old. They chose a bag with piece amounts they felt comfortable with. They independently completed their sections.

Unfortunately there were two pieces missing.
