Fantastic lifting assist
This lifting assist chair is honestly fantastic! I ordered it Sept. 14th, delivery was Sept. 15th. It was well packaged and fully assembled. The charger to use the chair was also already charged a bit. This made it easy to test it out quickly. I was so thankful it was assembled, that’s the biggest bonus ever. Honestly, this company thought of everything to make things easier. I am fully impressed with the chair, the easy operation of the chair and everything! I read the instructions and tried the chair out and it was a total success. I then tried it on my husband as I purchased it to lift him. Every time he falls I’ve had to call for help lifting him but not any more. I’m 68 years old 5 ft tall about 120 lbs with a bad back. My husband is 69 years old and is just over 6 ft tall and weighs at least 230 and maybe more. After he fell 5 times within 14 days I was ready for a new plan and this chair was it. I am thrilled that I purchased this lifting chair, no regrets. I also like the way this company is easy to call with questions, etc. I plan to buy additional handicap items from this company as needed. I’m VERY pleased with everything! I’m so excited that I can finally help my husband get up from falling without calling for help. Thank you for making it possible. Update, I had to try the chair out on my husband the following day from another fall. He was completely impressed at how easy it was to lift him. He also really likes the design of the supports on the sides. The holes to place your hands make it easier to grip. He said it helps him feel more stable/supported during the lift. We are both thrilled with this purchase ! Additional Updates (1): There are little tiny wheels that help SO much to move this chair easily when folded up to transport/roll as needed. Makes it so nice when you can’t lift heavy weights. I leave the chair unfolded with the bottom base of the chair neatly tucked in under the end of our bed and out of the way. I just pull it out as needed to use. Update (2): I just purchased a second lift chair to keep in the trunk of the car as my husband has fallen numerous times getting in and out of the car - It’s a life saver! It was hard for me to keep putting our house lift chair in and out of the car each time I transported my husband. I put the chair in a heavy plastic bag into the trunk ready to use and pull out as needed. *** Caution: You must NEVER leave the operating battery device in the car!!! You must Keep the lithium battery operating cord device out of car and transport with you until you need to use the chair. This is mandatory, trust me! The battery/cord device is a lithium battery and if it gets HOT it could blow up. I’ve seen it happen with another lithium battery so I’m super cautious and hope you will be as well. Lithium batteries do not like temperature fluctuations! Be cautious and respectful of your operating battery cord please. Please error on the side of caution and you won’t have any worries. I keep our lithium battery cord with me in a small Bright RED Fabric tote when I transport my husband at all times. I take the RED tote with me along with my purse into our appointments and church, etc. I never leave it in the car. It’s a little inconvenient but well worth it! When I’m not transporting my husband I leave the RED tote & chair battery cord by our front door ready to take as needed. The chair is always in the trunk of the car ready to go. The RED tote is easily identifiable and the RED color defines it as emergency use so it’s perfect. We never forget it and my husband always says be sure we have the RED bag. It’s part of us now when I transport him. It’s also easy to hang the RED tote on the back of the wheelchair when transporting as well. I hope this helps other’s.

Don't hesitate! Super HandyPortable Bath Lift
We could not be happier with this lift chair!! It is such an excellent help for anyone who has frequent falls or a loved one who does. Amazing device that comes assembled for the most part and is just as described It shipped and arrived quickly. Also, if you are no longer able to safely get in and out of the tub, this chair gives you the freedom to safely soak in your deep soaking tub without worrying about getting up and out safely. What a blessing!! The whole thing is battery powered and is immersion so it is perfect!! Much less expensive that getting walk in tub, that's for sure!!! As a senior, this item checks so many boxes. Oh, and it only weighs 19 pounds and is easy to move with small Caster wheels as needed. Do not hesitate to buy this item from Super Handy Company!! The price is very affordable!!

Easy to use
Worked great for our 32 year old special need daughter. Made bathing her so much easier on us and our backs. She enjoyed it also. It allowed her to soak in the tub for a little bit whislch she loves and has not been able to do.

I had a warranty problem, manufacturer eventually handled it to my satisfaction.
My wife uses this to get in and out of the bath, and once or twice to get back up after a fall. Its heavy, I set the seat in the bath at full height and check that its stable. She sits on the side of the bath them turns so her legs and in the bath, then scoots over onto the seat. Then she lowers the seat. Sometimes she bathes while in the lowered seat, sometimes she 'scouches' forward and I pull the seat out from the bath. Its quite heavy, she can't lift it herself, but together we figure it out. ED: I originally gave this item 5 stars but reduced it to one star and wrote a horrid review. The lift chair stopped working after ten months (it has a 12 month warranty). Battery pack/controller apparently had never worked right and was not charging properly (you have need to have an orange LED on the transformer when charging the battery). I called the 800 number. Somebody called me back and seemed quite helpful. They asked me (and I complied) for a copy of the original invoice and a video of the chair not working. With my crappy rural internet I don’t think they got the video and they never got back to me until I wrote the one star review. Then they called me at home the next day after the review posted and sent me a replacement battery/controller and chair now works fine. My impression is that they are set up to honor the warranty, but my issue fell between the cracks (NOTE to Superhandy…if you just sold battery/controllers and transformers separately I would have just bought a replacement and been happy). After I didn’t hear from them I bought a competing product (MAIDeSITe Electric Chair Lift) and now having tried both, the Superhandy product is superior. The MAIDeSITe seems less stable, more awkward (although, tbh, they’re both awkward). Also, and importantly, the Superhandy has wheels, when the product is folded up, the wheels can be used to move it around (when the chair is in use, the wheels don’t work), doesn’t sound like much, but those little wheels are a big plus. Anyway, accounting for the warranty snafu, I’m giving this four stars. I would buy it again, and I would give it five stars, if they’d just responded faster and I hadn’t had to buy the MAIDeSITe.

Easy to use and works wonderfully.
Really no assembly except hooking up the remote and putting on the side extensions. I haven’t put on the side pieces yet. I’ve already had to use it once to get mom up after a fall and it worked great. Rises and lowers slowly so not a scary ride. I was able to get her on it pretty easily and raised her up high enough that she could stand with her walker and then walk to a seat. Normally, would have had to call someone to get her up as I cannot lift her alone. Great device. Hopefully it lasts a long time. Folds up for storage so doesn’t take up a lot of space. Have not used for bath.

Sturdy and Reliable
For what it is, this is the lightest and most practical option out there. I think the sea foam green is attractive too. The box felt heavy to me but I put it on the scales and sure enough with the box and all the packing it was about 27 pounds. So the 19 pound weight is heftier than I imagined the way the weight is distributed but I can lift it easy enough but really glad it has rollers. The battery is in the remote control which makes the remote pretty hefty but it can be carried separately and the packaging says it is good for 32 lifts. Mine came with a vinyl pouch affixed to the chair back to hold the remote. Then there is not really anyplace on the chair to store the compact power supply with the remote in there but that really is not a problem. The chair is well constructed and I can fit it about anywhere. I tried out after I charged it and it feels secure on the ups and downs.

Just what I needed
This lift is great and just what I needed. My elderly Mom fell twice. Did not get hurt but it was almost impossible to get her up off the floor. With the lift, all she has to do is slide onto the floor level seat and up she comes. I myself tried it in the bathtub. With bad knees I have not been able but now I just lower myself in and back out. It works great. I just have to take one of the "flaps" off the one side as it gets stuck on my shower door on the way back up. I LOVE it!! Worth every penny!

It works, Folds away and fits neatly, is lower profile than others and DOESN'T SMELL
This review is for the: SUPERHANDY GORISE LT PORTABLE FLOOR AND BATH LIFT I recently used it to help my father get up off the floor... he fell usually when he is getting out of bed at night. it has happened before and I have hurt my back trying to pick him up with out this type of chair... here are other good things about this chair... this one is so much better than the others advertised it has an aluminum frame and less plastic and its lower profile and has a rubber like piece to hold the back rest to the main part of the chair for transport so it does not fold open when moving it around or when it is in storage so you cans store it vertically while folded up with no problem I have had bad experience with another chair like this one that was all plastic construction I would have kept it but the SMELL THAT THE ALL PLASTIC ONE PUT OFF WAS A DEAL BREAKER it smelled so bad and even after sufficient time to air it out and off gas it (because it was made of plastic) IT STUNK SO BAD THAT I HAD TO RETURN IT.. SO WATCH OUT FOR The other ones that are all plastic they are also not as low profile and do not fold up to a skinnier size, they also do not have a way to secure the seat part to the backrest part for storage and transport so when you try to pick it up from folded position from storage it unfolds. SO I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SUPERHANDY GORISE LT PORTABLE FLOOR AND BATH LIFT to anyone who has an elderly person like my Dad whom for what ever reason gets down on the floor to look for his glasses or the remote or something and then cant get back up. because as long as they are o.k. you can now get them back up into sitting position that is high enough to help them stand up WITHOUT YOU HAVING TO BEND ALL THE WAY DOWN TO PICK THEM UP OFF OF THE FLOOR and possibly hirt your back.. This chair can help prevent that and also prevent the amount of strain and physical exertion that the elderly person has to go through if they try repeatedly to get themselves up even with assistance.. I got my Dad up off the floor first try with this without it it took like half an hour and it was a workout for both of us.

Saves calling an ambulance!
This has saved us 3 ambulance/lifeline calls in a week. I have an elderly parent that I can no longer pick themselves off the floor when they fall and this go rise is exactly what I was looking for to get them off the ground. Used on tiled kitchen, carpeted bedroom and living room. Some key things to note... > It is expensive but worth it for someone who is a fall risk and you are trying to prevent injury to yourself in getting them up. >It is heavy but that is due to being quite sturdy. >It can be difficult for someone with very little strength and mobility to lift/shimmy/bumshuffle on to the seat, as even when flat on the floor it has a 2 inch raise. > The white arm attachments are useless and flimsy, we use it without them. > It can not be operated by the fall patient on their own, it needs someone to monitor for safety. > Its advisable to lean the go rise against a wall if possible, to provide additional support to the person trying to shimmy on. > The rise does not get to the same height as a normal chair, this might be ok for smaller people, taller people will likely struggle to get themselves to standing position without support or proper arm rests...which this does not have. > There are other GO Rises that are likely studier but the portability on this is excellent, I can lug this up or downstairs as needed (which has been useful for falls at night) >Assembly was easy but like I said the flaps are useless. Power excellent, haven't charged it in 3 weeks. >Can be hidden behind sofas. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR ANY CARER DEALING WITH A PATIENT THAT FALLS THAT CANT PICK THEM OFF THE FLOOR ANYMORE. THIS SAVES WAITING HOURS FOR AMBULANCES. Note to the Product Developers...Thank you for creating this, some recommendations have the seat rise up at least 3 inches more. Please try flatten the seat more. Create detachable, proper arm rests attached to the back support not the seat.
