Interesting and easy ideas
Some interesting and easy ideas as to how to become cleaner in your household product base. I will say though if you have pets, some of these recipes may not be suitable as some ingredients would be toxic to them, so that would be my only negative feedback. But I will definitely be making some of these recipes to do my bit for the planet!

Great Ideas
Some have worked and some have not. I think you have to use your own judgement when combining certain oils as some overpower the other and you don't get the aroma you want.Overall I would highly recommend.

Nice book, but a very short read. Expected a bit more.
I had expected this book to be a little bigger for the price. It is a very thin book, and although very beautifully put together, with some good ideas, I definitely think there was room for some more recipes, tips and tricks.

A sweet, slim book for those into health and planet kind diy cleaning materials
To be honest, most of these ideas and recipes for keeping your home clean and fresh without artificial chemical overkill – for you, your home, for landfill and the planet, could be, with variations, easily found on many of the ‘clickbait ads’ which are present on many free internet sitesMost of the cleaning ideas come from good, traditional cleaning which generations knew about, before we felt we had to have cupboards full of 10 different versions of the same thing – window cleaner! Bath cleaner! Another bath cleaner for limescale! A bath cleaner for soap rings! A bath cleaner for taps! EtcCanny people in the past did wonders with a few staples – prime amongst which were salt, white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice. And so it is here. These alternatives (plus the use of those amazing natural aromatics and antimicrobials, essential oils) will in the main produce something healthier and possibly a little cheaper than the stuff full of toxic chemical cocktails. Healthier because we have OVER cleansed our environment with antibacterial this and that, as we now realise, with immune systems not being naturally challenged and activated, hence the rise of allergic conditions, greater susceptibility to minor infections, etc.The new ingredient for me (and she suggests suppliers) is liquid castile soap, and indeed castile soap itself. Originally derived from olive oil, this can be used to make washing up liquid, shampoo, handwash etc. But this will be considerably more expensive (certainly the washing up liquid will be) than shop bought. There are some lovely ideas here – though I must confess I laughed LOADS at the recipe for, effectively ‘toilet bombs’ (bicarb of soda and citric acid) which she was fragrancing with rose, lavender and lemon essential oil. As rose otto is approximately 70-75 pence a drop, and even the absolute is around 40p a drop, so suggesting a floral daily ‘bomb’ to mask the odour of whatever other aroma bombed your toilet, at, approximately 75p-£1 (there are other ingredients too – including optional flower petals and food colouring, seemed remarkably silly!
