Ideal for your workshop, garage, or utility room use, the adapter converts any bulb socket into a polarized outlet, allowing you to add more outlets where you need them most.

Read before you buy
Some buyers complain that it doesn't fit three prong plugs. The specs don't say it will. Just purchase a converter plug and you are ready for all the plugs. I appreciate mine because I don't have any outdoor plugs at the front of my house and this way I can convert my front light to a plug.

Only fits 2 prong plugs
These look like they have a grounding prong and would fit a 3 pronged plug. They do not. They did not work for what we needed.

Absolute cheap garbage
Loose fit and neither of the two socket adapters worked. Buyer beware!

Adding a temporary plug in
We ran out of outlets for our light strings when we were decorating for our daughters wedding. We used these 2 Prong adapters in our can lights in the ceiling of our porch. This way we were able to plug in more light strings without additional unsightly extension cords.

Dont waste your money
Lame design.. outlets need a large and small slit.. this doesn't let me plug in my fan because it doesnt have the large slot opening to fit the plug into it

My bad
This would not take any power cords. I found a 25 year old extension cord that finally fit. I didn't research so sure is was stated somewhere it would not take wide prong plugs.
