I found these great jumper cables for great price! I really appreciate it because it's an 8 gauge and 12 ft long jumper cable set which should get me out of any situation. It's a perfect length and the quality of the clamps and the jacket on the wiring seems really good. They look nice and come in a nice slim bag to keep in your trunk and they I'm confident they will perform well when I need them.

These cables are of quality materials and workmanship….heavy gauge wires good rubber coated clamps and a nice zipper bag to carry them.They even include a pair of gloves and small wire brush….good deal.

Granted I don't use these often so "durability" isn't really something that I can vouch for on a stack of bibles. But they seem sturdy and work to jump start my truck whose battery drains if it sits more than a week without me driving it. I've also used them to power a winch on a trailer to load a garden tractor and they worked great for that as well. No getting hot etc.

Buying a decent set of jumper cables was really hard work because I know what i needed and wanted. The thicker the cable the lower the Gauge (many people think think just the opposite). These are made of 6-gauge cables. A 10-gauge cable, for example, is typically too thin for jumping a car battery quickly and reliably. The Thicker the Cable, the more amperage they can handle to deliver more power to the dead battery. Pro's use probably a 1-2 Gauge set, but they are also more expensive! These are 16-ft long, absolutely perfect for most jumping situations. The Clamps are also decent and should easily do the job. They also come in a nice carry bag and tuck easily into the back of my car. Great for the Price! I would think they would make a great gift, especially with Winter just around the corner!
