Groove Life Groove Belt Ultra, Adjustable Magnetic Stretch Belt for Men

I’d like to give you some background on the performance of this belt design. I have worn it at work as a Diesel Mechanic for the past two years now. It’s quick on and quick off. No fumbling around with eyelets and adjustments. This is the best designed belt that I’ve ever had. I was so impressed with buying the first one in black that I had to have more colors of the same belt. So far I have five of these amazing belts. The next belt will be in grey and it should be here by tomorrow. I’m very glad I took the chance at purchasing the first one. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever in the past two years and they are built so well that I don’t expect that I will have any problems. These belts have a little give to them and it’s the perfect amount of flexibility in my opinion. I know the price might seem a little steep but this belt design is the best out there. I’m sure this belt can handle anything you put it through within reason.

Out of all the belts that are from this category of "rethinking" of a traditional leather belt, I found groove life's idea with hooks and magnets the best. The ultra belt is for sure the go to for most normal people due to being the most comfortable one and with the lowest profile. Ultra does not feel as premium as OG, but it's fine, such is the reality of plastic, and the plastic there is pretty much as good as it gets. Ultra buckle has a bit of curvature that forms a gap in the middle, perfect for comfort and extra space for the pants button to not be squeezed as much. The minimal weight that ultra offers is also nice and noticeable. The only part that's slightly annoying is that the metal pin inside the buckle has some freedom, and you occasionally can feel it shift a bit right after buckling and stretching the waist. But it happens only once after you buckle the belt. Apparently, it was designed this way to address the slipping issues with the OG belt, whether it helps or not I have no idea. It certainly helps with the ease of adjustment though, compared to the OG belt. Regarding the OG belt, even though it's more premium, it is either dorky-geeky looking or too tactical, doesn't really fit the casual or business casual aesthetic, only outdoorsy/EDC. Also, the ultra belt is the actual low profile belt, while groove life's "low profile" belt is not low profile at all, it's just a worse version of the OG belt with an overly tiny webbing width. To conclude, I would recommend the ultra belt if your goal is to just have an improved quality of life over the leather belt while not looking too unorthodox. Lastly, I would like to say that the ultra belt, in the end of the day, deserves 4 starts, not 5. It's gotta be at most 40 usd, $65 is really a stretch. The only reason I'm giving it 5 stars is that it's the best on the market as of the time of me writing this. Quick comment about the adjustability: I see a lot of people complaining; It's perfectly fine, you just have to move the pin and push/pull with increments, not just pull.

The Groove Life Groove Belt Ultra has quickly become my favorite everyday and golf belt. Adjusting it for the perfect fit was simple, and once set, it hasn’t needed any readjustment. I also love that it’s machine washable, which makes it easy to keep looking fresh after a long day outdoors. The clean, low-profile design works just as well with golf shorts as it does with jeans or casual pants. Overall, this belt blends comfort, durability, and style in a way that makes it worth every penny — it’s one of those rare accessories that you forget you’re wearing because it just works so well.

The buckle and strap work together to make the belt easy to use and comfortable to wear. The buckle halves engage with hooks hidden on the inside. Tension on the belt keeps the hooks engaged. Magnets in the halves hold the pieces in hooked alignment in case tension is reduced. To release the belt, just pull the ends together slightly, overcoming the elastic/magnetic tension, and the halves separate easily. Literally, a snap! Adjusting the strap is simple, but might take a minute or two - after all, you have to get it to slip past a bar that's intended to KEEP it from slipping! For me it has been a set-and-forget thing. Haven't had to readjust. I made it so there's a tiny amount of stretch required to mate the buckle halves, leaving the majority of the stretch for movement compensation. Very comfortable and secure. I'll add that I'm impressed with the strength of the elastic used in the strap. It seems to be heavy-duty. So far, it is not taking on the typical "slouch" at the back from being pulled down by my rear belt loops. I credit the strap's stoutness and stretch for that. Too soon to speak to durability, but the belt is definitely light and comfy. 100% recommend.

Excellent belt that is lightweight, has an easy to close buckle (magnetic) that doesn't cause any discomfort as it is relatively small/thin and serves its purpose as intended. However, it takes longer than it should to adjust the length on a whim when more or less length is required. It is more for utilitarian purposes and has a simplistic style so works best when shirt is not tucked in (in my opinion) when you are not trying to be too stylish, unless minimalism is your style. Also, it would still be expensive at even half the price and is missing many customers especially at the full price.

It dresses up jeans and chinos equally well, and I’ve already gotten compliments on how sleek it looks. The buckle and stitching give it a polished vibe that doesn’t cheapen the rest of my outfit — it actually enhances it. As for quality, this belt feels sturdy and well made. The materials are solid and it doesn’t feel like something that will wear out after a few wears. It’s clear the manufacturer put thought into durability, and that gives me confidence I’ll be using it for years. Overall, this is a fantastic belt — great fit, great look, and great build quality. Five stars without hesitation!

I initially bought the belt because my old belts also made small holes in my t-shrits. Since I own my groove belts this problem became a problem of the past. I really love the fit, quality and appearance of the groove belt. The only downside that doesn't bother me too much is that they sometimes press in the button of my jeans. Maybe in the future they can leave some room on the back side of the belt to rest more on the left and right side of the button and have like a gap or cutout allowing more space for the button

Best belt I’ve owned. Very adjustable and comfortable. Works with all my pants and shorts.
