Speed Champions Mercedes-AMG G 63 & SL 63 Building Toys - Kids Pretend Play Toy Cars for Boys & Girls, Ages 10+ Years - Gifts for Christmas - 76924

My husband and I have so much fun making these, and it’s a fun tradition. Instructions are easily understandable, and it looks great. We might be too old to play with legos but I think it is perfect for us nonetheless. Just right for an afternoon date for two 26 year olds.

I picked up the LEGO Speed Champions Mercedes-AMG G 63 as a fun weekend build, and it definitely exceeded expectations. For a smaller Speed Champions set, the level of detail is impressive. The boxy G-Wagon shape is captured really well, and the front grille and headlights look surprisingly accurate once assembled. The build itself was enjoyable without being overly complicated. It took me about [insert your time here] to complete, and the instructions were clear as always. There are a few clever building techniques in this one that make it feel more premium than the price suggests. The finished model feels sturdy and looks great on display. It’s also durable enough for kids to actually play with without pieces constantly popping off. The included minifigure is a nice bonus and adds some personality to the set. If you’re a fan of Mercedes or just like compact display builds that don’t take up much space, this is an easy recommendation. Great value, fun build, and it looks fantastic once finished.

Great gift and well designed to look like the actual cars. Would buy again.

Such a fun lego set. My boys each took a car and built it at the same time which was fun teenage bonding time. Difficult enough for teenagers to spend a few hours off their screens. Assembled perfect!!!

I expected a smaller set, but this one is amazing; my son and I really love the Jeep. It looks realistic, and the hood opens. The doors don't open, but the roof is removable. Next weekend we’re going to put together the yellow car; I think it’s just as cool.

First off, anyone who is thinking of getting this should jump on it while they can! Because for $28.49 (at the time of this review), this is a great deal! It's actually $16.50 off of it's retail price of $44.99, which is what it still costs on LEGOs site right now. But anyway, there are a few great things about this set. One is, that there aren't a ton of stickers to put on. And that's a good thing because many of the Speed Champions cars DO have a lot of stickers to put on, which can tend to be very frustrating considering how small they usually are, and that you really only get one shot at putting them on straight. Another two things that are great about this set, are also kind of unique to this set. One of them is that this set has a convertible, which isn't all that common amongst Speed Champions cars. And a convertible is fun because you can have two minifigures of your choice in it while it's on display, and they can be seen in it a lot easier than they can be seen in other Speed Champions cars. The other thing would be that the big SUV has places for FOUR minifigures to sit in it. And while it might be kind of hard to see them in there, I think it's still pretty cool. I guess those two things aren't quite as unique anymore though. Not since the Speed Champions set "Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 & Land Rover Defender Classic" came out. However, while that set also has a convertible and a big SUV, the Land Rover can only seat 2 minifigures. At least, I'm pretty sure that's the case. Anyway, I have no problems giving this set a score of 5... out of, 5.

This review is from my 6 year old son. “I like the quality of this Lego set! The pieces can be a little fiddly but it’s a great Lego set. The yellow car was a lot easier to put together. The G Wagon was a lot harder and a kid will need some help with it. It’s one of my favorite sets!”

Love this build and cars are great. However, step 85 of the SUV does not align. There is a reddit thread about it. Align the white bricks and let bottom test against the grey. It turns out fine. They do not snap together. Also, put sticker 17 on when you have already put the tire on. Will save you time. There are some very slight alignments to pay attention to. It will impact the build so look closely at pics. I would not recommend for kids under 12. The yellow convertible was easy but SUV was more complex.

cute little lego set, box was in good shape

Un set muy hermoso y muy bien detallado, Vale totalmente la pena, aunque eso si, la mercedes g63 es algo fragil principalmente del techo y cristales laterales, muy contento con la compra
