CAP 40 LB Adjustable Cement Dumbbell Set, Vinyl Coated, Black

UPDATE- After training with this set, I'm upgrading its rating to 5 Stars. It does have a thin/narrow grip, but this set works, it's quiet & the quality of the plates is excellent. If you're working unilaterally (one side at a time), you can go from 5lbs through 30lbs at 5lb increments! I'm seriously thinking of getting another set. The clamps are tight & secure if you push them all the way on and may help to improve your finger/grip strength a little. You can't beat the value on this set, just don't toss or drop them, as it might break the cement inside the plates and or split them. Also, if you toss or drop them, just understand that the handles are hollow and you risk deforming or breaking them. Dropping weights is bad form anyway, LOL Original Revue- There is no grip on the handles, just smooth, black powder coat. The width of the grips, in the area where your hand goes is too narrow for me & don't have huge hands. The retainers are poor quality and the weight's don't fit snugly on the handles....they're very sloppy. Also, these are the largest 20lb Dumbbells you'll ever see in your life, maybe that's good, if it makes you feel like you're really lifting some weight. The weights are nice, quality-wise. I'm obviously not in love with this set, but it was very inexpensive, so there you go.

I'm very happy with this 40 pound adjustable cement dumbbell set. It was easy to assemble, and the adjustable weights make it perfect for a variety of exercises and fitness levels. These are sick, I’m a college student who loves the gym and for the few random times I can’t make it I know these will do me great. I did a workout with them and I was not nervous about the quality at all, well made. I think the only critique (still 5 stars tho since it’s a budget item) would be the clips are a bit difficult but I mean I can deal with that, the weight is great and I’m glad it was super affordable.

Amazing set of budget dumbells! The weight is fairly distributed, they are very good quality. The only reason I leave 4 starts is because the clip at the sides, it does keep the plates in place (they wiggle a tiny bit but for the price is worth it) but is a headache take it off and put it back on, other than that I really recommend!

What a great combo, the weights and the 2 large workout sheets to help you with a multitude of exercises. For someone like me who really never worked, a game changer. I would highly recommend.

I tried these dumbbells for the first time today during my home workout, I'm honestly so ompressed! they look super stylish and modern in person, and they perform even better. The grip is comfortable, and the weight distribution feels very secure while doing squats and lower body exercises. highly recommend if you're looking to upgrade or start your home gym!

these are very nice, i hit youtube for some dumbell routines and so far these are fabulous, 40 pounds is perfect, im a 54 year old dude and i can get off 25 pumps before my arms fatigue - im a bit worried about the clip as opposed to a screw-on type lug nut bar, but you get what you pay for - these will remain outside on the patio, under shade and on an outdoor carpet, we'll see how long these hold up before the plastic cracks, i have JB Weld old hand should that ever happen - i will also need to apply some type of grip-tape to the bars, a steal on prime day for under $20....

These are great, I like the fact you can interchange and adjust the weight.

The dumbbells are cheap but do the trick. If i find used metal/cement weights i can use the bar with them too. Good starter option. Wanna give a MASSIVE shout out to the amazon delivery driver for carrying the box 3 flights of stairs. I expected them to leave in the lobby and to carry up myself.

Works fine for me. But when you put all the weights it become a little uncomfortable when you do the curl..

The product is exactly as described and it is a budget friendly choice for two dumbbells that can be used at 5lb, 15lb and 20lb. I can recommend buying it...
