Muelhens 4711 Eau De Cologne Splash for Unisex, 2.5 Ounce

The punch of lemon is fantastic! Obviously this cologne is not long the designer ones of today and you think the smell has gone after 30min but other people can still smell it. It’s very vibrant and a great summer smell. It’s 85% vol of strength so it isn’t bad.

I bought 4711 Original Eau de Cologne after a very specific and highly scientific moment of inspiration: noticing the iconic “4711” tattoo on Dr. Frank-N-Furter during The Rocky Horror Picture Show and thinking, “Yes. That. That is the energy I need in my life.” Naturally, I assumed this fragrance would transform me into a magnetic, slightly chaotic icon capable of attracting a lesbian lover purely through the power of citrus and vibes. I’m talking walk-into-a-room-and-people-immediately-reconsider-their-life-choices levels of allure. Let me start with the scent: it’s fresh, bright, very classic. Like a lemon that went to finishing school. Clean, slightly herbal, vaguely aristocratic—like I should be lounging dramatically near a window while contemplating my next scandal. Application experience: invigorating. I splashed it on and immediately felt 17% more interesting and at least 40% more European. Results in the field: mixed. Did I smell fantastic? Yes. Did I feel like I could monologue in a velvet robe? Also yes. Did a mysterious, allured a lesbian lover out of nowhere, drawn in by my intoxicating aura? …no. Not even a little. At one point I did catch someone looking in my direction, but it turned out they were trying to figure out where the “refreshing citrus note” was coming from, not falling hopelessly in love with me. So while 4711 did not, in fact, function as a pheromone-based romance magnet (false advertising, honestly), it did make me smell delightful and feel like I was starring in my own slightly dramatic life montage. Final verdict: 8/10. Come for the classic scent, stay for the delusion that you’re one spritz away from becoming irresistibly iconic.

Just as ai remember it from my childhood. Clean smell and light to put on at anytime of the day.

Well...... I received this long-awaited delivery about an hour ago, And I immediately opened it & applied it... at the very beginning, It was totally awesome with those citrus top notes that explode in your nostrils & I was very excited at the scents of limon, Italian Bergamot, oranges,florals,etc.. But, after only about 1/2 hr. That opening was reduced to some strange, antique/vintage era, bland -smelling bar of bath- hand soap !!! If only they could've kept it smelling as it did in the beginning !! But alas, I now smell as though I've traveled back in time & taken a bath... 200 yrs ago !!! .... I'm now disappointed in this over-hyped scent- It's by no means what one might call unpleasant. Just disappointing. I'm giving this (4711) 4 stars because, I feel that there's probably a lot of others that may find this, perfect as it is. And, I didn't want to steer anyone into another direction of what they actually, may be looking for..... It's just not what I was expecting.... Especially after waiting so long for it to arrive !!! 🥴.

smells NIce but 30 seconds later Poof it vanishes. (not an exageration) i know its $14 dollars so expecations were not high but c.mon, i wish it would last longer as it does smell good,

….but I was expecting a scent that is more citrusy and less like orange blossoms. The slightly bitter aroma of orange flowers is not really my cup of tea

Das Duftwasser 4711 gab es schon zu Goethes Zeiten, und obwohl viele es unbewusst mit ihrer Oma assoziieren, stimmt das nicht. Der frische, citrusgeprägte Duft ist wirklich zeitlos und richtig toll. Ich nehme dieses Eau de Cologne vor allem an heißen Sommertagen: etwas auf ein Papiertaschentuch geben, Stirn und Nacken damit kühlen - herrlich! Man kann es auch zur Schnell-Desinfektion für unterwegs verwenden, es riecht jedenfalls um Klassen besser als Desinfektionsmittel für die Handtasche.
