Extraordinary Streamer very aggressively priced.
This is our 3rd WiiM device, now joining a Mini and a Pro. The WiiM devices in general box well above their weight, offering a combination of connectivity, audio quality, stability, and functionality which far exceeds anything to be expected from the price point. The Ultra has built upon all that was on offer from the mid-range models and offers an extraordinary range of input and output formats, as well as the ability to stream, in the highest resolutions available from the more sound quality focussed streaming services such as Tidal and Qobuz, amongst many others. Currently, you could almost argue that we're under-utilising it as we've connected it to an external DAC via USB for the highest possible sound quality, but experimenting with the onboard DAC yielded great results which again belie the very low price. From the time of plugging it in, to listening to the streaming services of choice was only a few minutes thanks to the excellent application and intuitive interface. Whether using the app on phone or tablet, or indeed the onboard touchscreen, the unit is extremely responsive and offers nearly immediate action to any input. Personally, I don't use the touchscreen, preferring to operate the unit completely from the app, however the included remote control is quite handy, well lain out, and again, very intuitive to use. The only sidenote worthy of mention is that though the onboard WiFi connectivity is very quick and reliable, for best results at the highest resolutions I do suggest feeding the unit via ethernet for the utmost response and performance. It's very difficult to find fault in the WiiM Ultra at even 2-3X the price and I'd suggest sonically, that it'd be at home in nearly any hifi system.

The best audio item I have bought so far... for sound... for value... for aesthetics... A ++++++
As with most other people I cannot praise this Streaming DAC enough. It's super easy to set up by using the WiiM Home App, and offers an amazing feature set and unparalleled connectivity options that you can't buy elsewhere for TWICE THE PRICE (trust me, I looked). The DAC chip (ESS) is excellent providing great sound quality (I was using Q Acoustics M20 Powered Speakers and a B12 Sub) - what's really important with this is the connectivity options... having E-arc AND a sub out (with Bass Management) is a game changer and enable you to blend the music volumes from the main speakers and the bass accordingly meaning you can tweak either depending on the mastering of the music you're listening to. I could go on forever about how good this unit it, AND it's on offer for a few days under Prime Deals, so just grab it. Worth knowing that it's a streamer for most platforms but you can also stick a usb drive into the back of it and play your local files (FLAC ETC) via the Wiim Home App which in itself is VERY user friendly and reliable. Finally, the support from WiiM and Updates team is second to none.

Excellent Value, Great build quality and a pleasure to use.
I am very impressed with the WiiM Ultra. It came very well package with a full set of good quality audio cables. The build quality is very good. Made from aluminium all round except the bottom. The display is nice and clear. The setup process is easy, just connect the WiiM Ultra to power, download the app to your phone or tablet and follow the guide. The WiiM Ultra has a plethora of available streaming services but NOT Apple Music. It also has DNLA capability which worked on my system flawlessly. Sound quality is excellent with a host of EQ options and has built in room correction. These are just some of the features of this product. There are far too many to go into here. WiiM is also actively supporting the WiiM Ultra and releasing new features as well of correcting any bugs that might occur.

Brilliant Streamer.
The WiiM Ultra is the bargain of the year. Being an old bloke its taken ages for me to embrace streaming music. I took the plunge and bought the Eversolo DM-A6. Tried to like it but could never get the vinyl like warmth I required. Returned it and got the £865 back. Then I heard about the WiiM Ultra. Got it for £275, and expected much less from it. Set up was easy. Used a digital Coaxial cable to my amp. Downloaded the app but initially used Amazon Music and Spotify via my phone to play music. You can use the WiiM app and the supplied remote if you prefer. I've spent years perfecting my system. Thorens deck/Goldring E3 cartridge. Onkyo integrated amp. Musical Fidelity CD. SkyQ box. LG DVD. LG TV. Huge LA Floorstanding speakers. The WiiM Ultra took its place on my Target rack and all was ready to play. Right from the get go I knew I could live with it. Unlike the Eversolo it was less 'hifi' and more musical. The sound is warmer, perhaps not quite as revealing as the Eversolo, but much more musical. The WiiM just makes you want to play more music! It gets your feet tapping, which is as it should be. It looks fine too. The screen is pretty basic and only 3.5 inches but it shows album covers and track info, which is enough for me. Build quality is fine too. Not as good as the Eversolo but at less than a third of the price that is to be expected. It has lots of options to connect to ancillary equipment. It comes with power lead (figure 8 type) and optical cable. There's even an ethernet cable. I just use WiFi. If you have a decent hifi system, or even active speakers I doubt you'll be disappointed with the WiiM Ultra. It's a great bit of kit. Far outperforming its price point. It's rare that something is much better than expectations. This is! Reduced from £350 to £279 now is a great time to score one, before they sell out! I forgot to mention WiiM do regular updates to the software so the app should get better.

Great sound and aesthetics at an excellent price.
I have owned a number of streamers over the last few years including Bluesound, Raumfeld and Arylic, the most recent being the Arylic S10+ which I used in conjunction with an SMSL SU-1 DAC which sounded good but I found it irritating to use as my streaming service of choice is Amazon Music which it only supports via Airplay which I found to be very inconsistent in operation. The WiiM Ultra was a step up in price so I was expecting better performance and so far it hasn't disappointed. The WiiM Home control app is excellent and very versatile and once downloaded the setup was a breeze although the firmware update took about 15 minutes. I use the analogue output to feed a pair of Q Acoustics M20 powered speakers, I couple the Ultra directly to my router via an ethernet cable, I have my Mac computer connected via optical digital cable and I have external solid state drive connected via USB. The unit itself is very substantial and quite weighty and certainly good for the price, the touch screen has good clarity and clear graphics and it's nice to have album artwork displayed while listening, and it defaults to a clock when there is no music playing. The supplied remote is good quality and works well, only black mark is there were no batteries supplied for it, shame on you WiiM ☹️ It works via bluetooth not IR which means no delays that IR remotes sometimes suffer from. As to the sound quality it is a step up from streamers I've had previously, the previous best I had was the Bluesound Node 2i which was a similar price, the Ultra is more detailed without being clinical and more even in tonal balance, the Node 2i being a little on the rich side of neutral. The Ultra is also a little more dynamic particularly in the bass. Overall I'm delighted with the WiiM Ultra and at it's price point it has to be regarded as a bargain and deserves a 5* rating.

Excellent Streamer, but for me, Missing Key Integrations
I purchased the WiiM Ultra to replace my Gen 2 Sonos Connect, and I’m very impressed with its performance in my small home office setup. My office space measures 9x8 feet, and the WiiM Ultra fits perfectly into this environment. I’ve paired it with a set of Dali Zensor Pico speakers, a Cambridge Audio Minx X201 subwoofer, and a Denon RCD-M40DAB receiver. The WiiM is connected to the Denon via RCA outputs, with a fixed volume output setting, while my subwoofer is connected to the Denon rather than directly to the WiiM. What I Like: - Good Physical Connectivity: The available ports offer plenty of flexibility, although I wish there was an additional set of RCA inputs for even more versatility. - Fast and Responsive App: The WiiM app is significantly quicker than the Sonos app, which makes daily use far more enjoyable. - Feature-Rich Design: The EQ options, touch screen, and overall customizability add a lot of value. While the touch screen is a great addition, I wish there were more customization options available like different wall papers. - Impressive Sound Quality: The built-in DAC delivers excellent audio quality, which has been a noticeable upgrade for my setup. - Quick Support: I’ve reached out to the support team a couple of times, and they’ve been responsive and helpful. What I Miss: - No Native YouTube Music Integration: YouTube Music is my primary streaming service, so the lack of native integration is a notable drawback for me. - No Mixcloud Support: This is another platform I use frequently, and I hope it’s added in future updates. Although Soundcloud is supported. Additional Notes: I don’t miss AirPlay at all. Despite being an iPhone and iPad user, I’ve found Chromecast integration works seamlessly with most of the apps I use, including YouTube Music. Casting from my phone has been reliable and convenient. One thing I haven’t tested yet is using the WiiM Ultra with DJ equipment. I previously encountered an audio delay when attempting this with the WiiM Amp, which made it unusable for DJing. Overall Verdict: The WiiM Ultra is a fantastic addition to any small audio setup. Its sound quality, app responsiveness, and feature set make it a solid upgrade from older devices like the Sonos Connect. However, its lack of integration with certain streaming platforms may be a dealbreaker for some. If these integrations are added in the future, the WiiM Ultra will truly shine as a versatile and modern audio hub.

All in one budget box competes with much more expensive profucts favourably
Great streamer. Through a quality dac, i havent heard any better. The internal dac is good and the connectivity is excellent as are the features as a digital preamp.

A bargain at twice the Price!!! Just buy it.
Until getting the Wiim I had been using an Aukey Bluetooth dongle hooked to my amp so my Alexa could be fed through, giving a significant audio upgrade. But I knew the cheap but functional Aukey was the weak link. Coupled with the fact that I’d ripped my entire CD collection to FLAC, stored on my TrueNAS server for use with PLEX, I wanted a streamer that could access that directly as well as streaming services. I’d seen several reviews including Cheap Audio Man on YouTube raving about this box, so a combination of Prime Day, vouchers I’d won at work made me pull the trigger. Set up was a breeze using the Wiim Home app on iPhone. I hooked up my CD player’s TOSLINK optical output to the Wiim, along with my Vinyl turntable to its Phono input. It has a an extensive library of Music Streaming services ready to be signed into, including PLEX, which I didn’t know it had, so that was a bonus. Very important to note at this point that Apple Music is NOT one of the services listed and is apparently unlikely to be added any time soon. It also doesn’t include Airplay as a connection option. You can hook up your iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth but that immediately means that Apple Lossless High Bitrate is nixed. According to the Wiim forums (more on that soon), you can get a USB C to optical connector for iPhones and iPads, hooking them directly and getting the full benefit of Lossless. So you don't have the convenience of wireless but there is a workaround. To say that the Apps setting are exhaustive is underselling it considerably. There is very little you can’t tweak, I’ve barely scratched the surface in a full week. Or you can just leave it alone and it still sounds great. The forums, linked via the app is very active with lots of help if you need it. Wiim has a future ROADMAP for virtually all their products, with lots of new features being added. The latest Ultra firmware update was just on the 22nd of June, a couple of days before I got it. So, I’d hooked up my CD, Turnable, Streaming and PLEX server to the Wiim, using its onboard processing and DAC to handle all the data, outputting the sound via Optical to my 25 year old Sony STR-DB1070 as a direct feed with none of the amps own processing, just pure amplitude of the Wiim’s output…. Blown away is the only way I can put it. The handling of the FLAC files alone via PLEX alone would make me recommend this to anyone. I’m a 80’s junkie, so there is a lot of synth, bass and electronic its handling. I’m hearing elements in the music I’d never heard. The soundstage is expansive with a lot of warmth and engagement in the mids, controlled trebles and bass with a presence that doesn’t overpower. But you can tweak all of that if you want. Playing a CD via Optical and letting the Wiim’s DAC process it is the way to go. I thought that I’d heard U2’s The Joshua Tree dozens of times of times before. Nope. I heard it for the first time via the Wiim. I’d never appreciated just how good Larry Mullen’s drumming was. I can now. The albums last two tracks, Exit and Mothers of the Disappeared, were a revelation. The detail in them is exquisite. Don’t get started on Daft Punk’s Tron OST. Awesome. Even the handling of the Vinyl is awesome, expanding the soundstage and bringing a new sparkle to Paul Simons Graceland. Point is, I’m rediscovering music I thought I knew very well. With Prime Day and vouchers I only paid £90 for the Wiim. A week in, finding what its capable of, what’s going to get get added via the updated Roadmap, I’d happily have dropped twice its full Retail price and still think I’d got a bargain. My Sony amp is 25 years old and serves the Wiim very well via its digital input. But it is rather large and given how good the Ultra is I’m giving serious consideration to partnering it with the Wim Vibelink Amp. But that’s for the next Prime Day I think. I can’t recommend the Ultra highly enough. A bargain at twice the price.

Exceptional Performance and Value – WIIM Ultra is a Game Changer!
I purchased the WIIM Ultra in November 2024 for my home setup, paired with my Fosi Mono V3 Class D amps and Paradigm 15B speakers as a desk system, streaming music from my computer and the Tidal music service. Initially, I wasn’t sure if I really needed this device, but after just one week of use, I was completely convinced – the sound quality is phenomenal! Sound Quality & Ease of Use: From the moment I powered it up, the WIIM Ultra delivered crystal-clear, detailed sound that took my listening experience to the next level. It’s incredibly easy to set up and integrates seamlessly into my system. The connectivity options are excellent, offering everything I need for high-quality streaming and more. Whether I’m using Tidal, Spotify Connect, or streaming directly from my computer, it just works—and the sound is well-balanced and dynamic across all platforms. Comparison to Other Integrated Amplifiers: What really impressed me was how the WIIM Ultra stacks up against other integrated amplifiers I’ve used. In my living room, I have a high-quality integrated amplifier setup that’s much more expensive, and I was curious to see how the WIIM Ultra would compare. To my surprise, the performance of the WIIM Ultra is shockingly close to that much pricier amp. The sound quality is just as clear and rich, and the overall performance is nearly identical. For the price, the WIIM Ultra punches well above its weight and offers nearly the same level of clarity and detail as amps that cost thousands of dollars. It’s an incredible value for the money! Customer Support & Value: The customer support has also been fantastic. The team is incredibly prompt, helpful, and customer-focused, making the entire experience even better. It’s reassuring to know that you’re dealing with a company that truly puts the customer first. USB Out Connectivity & Future-Proofing: I particularly love the USB out feature. It gives me the option to use external DACs at higher resolutions if I ever decide to upgrade my system, making the WIIM Ultra a great future-proof investment. Streaming & Firmware Updates: The Tidal and Spotify Connect options make streaming super easy and convenient, while the regular firmware updates with new features and stability improvements show that the product will only get better over time. As someone who values long-term reliability, this is a huge plus. Airplay Connectivity: The only thing to be aware of is the lack of Airplay support for now. For my specific setup at my desk, this isn’t an issue, but I’d love to see it added in future iterations. However, it doesn’t detract from the overall fantastic experience I’ve had with the WIIM Ultra. Final Thoughts: Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the WIIM Ultra. The sound quality, build, connectivity, and customer support are all exceptional. If you’re on the fence about it, I can say with confidence that it compares very favorably to much more expensive integrated amplifiers I have in my living room. If you’ve read the glowing reviews elsewhere, I can confirm that my experience mirrors theirs. This is a top-tier product that provides fantastic performance without breaking the bank. I’m already planning to buy another one for future needs, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality audio experience!

Well Built, Superb Sound for the money.
Amazing box of sonic delights. Well designed, easy to use and set up thanks to the highly intuitive Wiim App. Everything works as it should. If using a VPN disable it when setting up access to any NAS on a home network .The Phono stage is surprisingly good and works very well with my Rega P1 turntable. . Sound is detailed and persuasive. Streaming with Tidal Connect is a breeze and the Hi Res recordings sound terrific. Amazing value for money and a piece of equipment to please budget concious Hi Fi nerds .Highly recommended

Świetny ekosystem sterujący mediami w domu, baza do domowego systemu HIFI
