Excellent Product! Cannot rate it high enough! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
Bought this to get into night hunting in Florida for hogs and mounted it on a .243 rifle. Was my first venture into night hunting. The scope has surpassed all my expectations. We've had several people try it out at night including first time hunters and people who don't shoot very often at all and it is fantastic and every one of them has commented on how clear it is and how easy to use. We typically use tripods to help for stability which makes the view stable. Once you get used to how to sight it in and adjust it - it's a great site. I was worried about battery duration so I bought a spare. We tend to glass the field for a minute or 2, then move and keep looking so we're constantly hibernating it and then using it. We can easily get through 8+ hours hunting that way with one battery. I have a friend with different brand thermal scope and his only lasts about 3 hours with similar use before his battery runs out. So I've been very impressed with battery life. The clarity of this scope is excellent and I think the Price is a great value for everything you are getting. The fact that you can use it in daytime and at night with either thermal or ambient light is great. We were able to flip between thermal and ambient light at night and see which was best for the current situation and change it even during the same hunt as sometimes we were in open spaces with ambient light and others in darker spaces where thermal was all that you could use. Both work great. All work great and the visibility is exceptional. One thing we learned is this (and other thermal scopes) is they are much bigger than other scopes so none of my gun cases could hold the gun with this scope on it so we were forced to buy a new gun case. This scope is built very solidly. I'd watched lots of reviews when choosing a scope and the quality and durability of the scope is very evident. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to get into thermal and night hunting. I started at the lower resolution one to see if we'd like thermal hunting. I didn't want to spend $2k - $5k to get a top quality scope initially until I knew it would be a good investment but I also had used cheap hand held thermal scopes that were < $500 and they didn't work very well at any distance so I figured I'd try to stay under $1k for the scope. Cannot rave about this purchase enough. Would highly recommend this scope and brand to anyone interested. I rarely write reviews on products but thought this one was worthy of the writeup. One note - definitely need to screw on the battery cover tightly when you install it and use it. If the battery cover is loose at all then the scope can shut off and have to be turned back on when using which is very annoying. All the video reviews mention this and we found it to be true as well but once you know that and put the battery cover on very hand tight - it isn't an issue at all. Sorry for this rambling and as a final note. Please be responsible if hunting with the night scope and make sure you know exactly what you're looking at. with just a heat signature - given different environmental factors - many animals can look similar with just a thermal signature so use it for a bit seeing different types of animals to know exactly what you are looking at. For example - through the scope and in thermal - you need to be pay attention to the distance of the object because a raccoon or armadillo that is within 5-20 yards may look about the same size as a 100lb hog at 125 yards. So it's important to be able to identify the specific traits in thermal of whatever you are looking at to make sure you don't make mistakes because distance is hard to judge just from scope image only unless you pay attention to the ranges displayed. Once you are aware of this - it's pretty simple but it is something we show anyone who has tried mine so we make sure they know exactly what they are seeing/hunting.

If your needs are 500yds and less the 225 is great!!!
Great optic!!! Haven't mounted it to a rifle (may not be able too due to wife wanting to "play" with it) If that is the case I will definitely buy a second!! This is my first thermal and was kind of hesitant to spend that much not knowing what to expect, but happy I did! 500yds is the max I'd be able to use it on my property and both the thermal and nightvision on the 225 are plenty enough for that distance. On a moonless night the night vision is good enough for 125yds without the illuminator and the thermal is great out to 300yds so far ( the farthest ive tried to see) It's very easy to use the different functions and menu, can't wait to get it on a rifle to tried the ballistics calculator. For my needs out to 500yds the 225 is definitely enough and WELL WORTH the price. Hopefully the wife wants to keep this one so I can buy another lol !!!

Great scope!
Couldnโt have had a better deal when I copped me one of these for my AR15 build. Comes with 2 rechargeable 18650 batteries and hold a good charge and life. Easy to use and mount o to the weapon system. For the features, it has a lot and Iโm only getting started on how to completely use it too.

READ GRAB A EXTRA BATTEY
At 200 yards you can easily tell what something is with the thermal but at 400+ it's really just for spotting and then you can identify with the night vision which is pretty nice. I've found that the battery tends to drain significantly quicker when in dual mode. You probably have about 1 hr with the ir light at 100% in dual mode with thermal on. But if your just using thermal and only using night to identify every now and then. Then the battery will last about what seemed like 3 hrs reliably in the middle of night . Though they do provide you with two batteries and they are fairly cheep. Though the build quality and everything else they mentioned is well made and I have no complaints with the ease of usage.

Awesome scope
A truly awesome scope for the price. There's a bit of learning curve, but I'm 73 and I figured it out.

Works for me
Works really good for " get what you pay for". Wanted to wait on review till I got use to it. You can tell the difference between animals at 150 yards and heat signatures as small as a rabbit size at about 200 yards with no moon. Haven't tried much further than that. Clarity is okay with some understood adjustment

I wish I could give it 10 stars!
I absolutely cannot say enough about this scope! I was skeptical due to the price, but oh my gosh, this thing is amazing! The fact that you can do PIP with thermal and NV is a game changer. I keep the auto record function on, because I always forget to hit record before taking a shot, and it always saves the videos for me. I also have other thermals that cost twice what this one did, and I donโt even like to use them anymore because they look so pixelated compared to the DNT. Amazing product!

TNC225R is worth every penny!
This thing is a game changer! Clear daytime video, crisp night vision and variable display thermal imaging. Dual screen presentation and accurate laser range finding. You definitely need to do your homework on the round you plan to use and enter the most accurate information you can this is the key to getting accurate rangefinder results. I also have an FX ballistic chronograph so I was able to get precise BC and FPS for my particular projectile profile once established Iโm hitting accurately out to 500 yards easily so my personal hunting range is between 50 to 150 yards at this range this is a cake walk. And I am able to document my hunts. Throw this on a PCP air rifle and pest all night replacing the batteries takes only seconds. I definitely would recommend it. Again due to my age and no desire to drag anything back down past 150yrds the TNC225R is more than enough for me. But if you are hurting farther the 335 is amazing too. Its closes competitor is with night vision or thermal at twice the cost and this is all three.
