Excellent! Just use strong pressure when sealing
Excellent product! Beautifully simple and intuitive design Pros: Major cost savings, easy to use, can customize coffee. Cons: time intensive (each cup takes about 70-90 secs, plus time to wash pods, grind beans, etc.) NOTE: seal the foil with very strong pressure to avoid issues After over 50 uses with no issues, I'm confident that this works perfectly if you use it right. The original pod's foil must be cut off perfectly - easy if you guide the blade with your thumb and forefinger. The pod's rim must be cleaned thoroughly, dried completely, and entirely free of coffee ground dust - the replacement foils may leave a sticky residue, and if this isn't cleaned off it will collect coffee dust that in turn damages the seal and causes leaking. My biggest tip: apply very strong pressure when tamping down the foil seal. Light pressure leads to a poor seal, which causes the leaking issues some reviewers report. When strong pressure is applied, the foil seal wraps around the lip of the pod and effectively seals it to prevent leaking.

Perfect for refilling
Easy to use and lets me refill with my coffee of choice. It comes with everything you need including a little razor cutter to remove the original foil from pod. When filling with I just lightly tap the pod holder on the counter to level out the coffee. The holder also has little ridges that serve as a guide when placing the foil down, then a couple of turns with the lid and itโs sealed all the way around. Iโve made 8 cups of coffee with 2 different pod sizes and it works well. Definitely worth the purchase.

Works great for a fraction of the price
I was very skeptical about this product because the price was very good and to buy these already made is very expensive. Ground expresso is reasonably priced so to make these pods you can save a lot of money. One thing to remember is you will need old used pods to work with. This kit does not come with the tin cup to place the coffee into. You must use previously used ones. Wash them out good and dry them real good. Follow the instructions and you will find its super easy to make these pods yourself. After you have a cleaned out tin cup, put the coffee espresso grinds in the cup pat them down, put them in the container, brush off any grinds on the edge, place the sticky label that comes with the kit over the cup, put the lid on and twist applying pressure at the same time. I found it helpful after the cup has been pressed to make sure the edges are curled under as you can see in the picture. This helps keep the foil top on securely. The taste is amazing and tastes just like the ones store bought for a fraction of the price. I also add a little bit of cinnamon powder in the bottom of the cup before putting the espresso grinds in for a touch of added flavor.

Works flawlessly with the Vertuo, but is a little time consuming
I spend a ton on Nespresso Pods and have for the decade that I've owned my machine. I've wanted to dabble in reusing my own pods but never felt comfortable with the systems that were around before. This is the first one I've seen in a while that looks relatively straightforward and uses the pod capsules I already have. Process This is a multistep process and definitely the part you need to look at to see if this is for you: 1. First step is to use the provided knife to cut open the pod itself, you'll then need to dump the used (probably moldy) coffee grounds. 2. You then need to was and dry all the pods (unless you're fine with the mold). 3. Place the pod into the actual canister and use the spoon to fill the pod with new coffee grounds. 4. Use the supplied brush to clean off the top of the pod. 5. Place the new aluminum lid on top of the pod and press the canister lid down with a twist to secure it. 6. Remove the pod and crimp the edges of the aluminum lid down. Its a lot of steps and my immediate thought was whether this was a good use of my time. This has notes of the artistic appreciation of coffee preparation, but if you're into that, you're likely not using a coffee pod machine in the first place. The quality of everything feels nice and its a solidly built tool with accessories that all do their exact job without much fuss. There is a level of messiness that comes into play when filling the pods with new grounds with little bits spilling here and there, nothing crazy and thats totally dependent on the space and how you're interacting with those grounds. Overall I recommend it as something to have access to, particularly if you've been craving a different brand of coffee or if you're inbetween orders and just need a few pods (my primary uses). I would like to see some improvements in future iterations of this like having the lid screw down to a tight pack instead of just twisting with only your pressure to tighten things down. It would be good to have the tolerance on the lid guides dialed in and raised up. As they are now, its not full proof and any amount of attention you could free from this process makes it that much more usable.

$5.99 for what typically cost us $80 for 3 wks drinking 2 cups of coffee from Nespresso.
This is one product that I absolutely love and felt I had to do a review! My husband bought this for us at Christmas in hopes it would lower our coffee bill. We were spending $80 every 3 weeks with each of us typically only having one cup each day. Since we bought this, our bill is now $5.99 for 3wks and some days we have more than one cup now since itโs so affordable. The first couple times it was a bit awkward, but now itโs pretty easy and quick for me to do two weeks worth at a time. Once you have your pods(that you can reuse many times) trimmed itโs saves a lot of time. Just a little warning when trimming the cover of the pod off, the device they include in the kit is super sharp, so beware of that. The covers that are in the kit peel right off when you need to refill, so no worries of cutting yourself once you are past the initial trimming. I read a few reviews that stated that you donโt get the froth like you do with the Nespresso pods, which is totally NOT true. Iโm a fan of Seattle Best and it by far tastes better than any coffee that Iโve gotten from Nespresso and the price is by far better. I used to own a coffee stand years ago in another state and when I go back to visit, I do stop and get coffee beans from D&M Coffee in Ellensburg, Wa. So save yourself a lot of money and get one of these kits and a bag of favorite coffee, you will be so glad that did! Enjoy โ๏ธ

I love it, it works like a charm, take off the old foil with the little "Knife" (included in the kit/packages, rinse the round use coffee "cup", dry it, refill it with your own choice of coffee, take one of the New Foils, take it off the peel/sticker, align it with the black container and screw on the lid, and Woyla your coffee pod is ready to be going in the Nespresso machine (this is only for Vertuo)! Just Fantastic and a genius idea and design, worth every penny, environment friendly !

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Game Changer!
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Game Changer! I absolutely love the Sootozy Reusable VertuoLine Capsule Kit! Honestly, it was much easier to use than I expected. The capsule was a breeze to clean using the included cutter and filling it with my own ground coffee was simple with the provided spoon. The brush made it easy to get the edges spotless, and the foil lined up and sealed perfectly. The result? A smooth, delicious cup of espresso with zero grounds in the cup! Iโm so impressed. This tool is truly a game changer โ not only does it work beautifully, but it's also saving me a ton of money by not having to buy pricey specialty pods for my Nespresso machine. Highly recommend!

Great Idea, but eventually takes its toll on your machine
I really thought this was the most amazing idea to save on money when I couldn't get nespresso capsules for a while, only to have to give up using it. It worked great for a week or two and then my machine started having lots of problems. The problem comes from sealing the capsule more than likely. If you can't get the coffee grounds packed as well as a machine can then it's going to get everywhere. Which was the case for me, my nespresso machine kept getting clogged and flooding water everywhere and I'd have to do a bunch of rinse cycles and clean out the machine to the point that it was more work and I'd rather just spend the money to buy nespresso capsules more frequently then bother with cleaning and finishing the machine every day. Great value for money but endgame, isn't worth it.

Works!
This reusable pod kit is fantastic! It was really easy to use, and it works perfectly with my Nespresso Vertuo machine. I love that it saves me so much money compared to buying disposable pods, and it feels great to cut down on waste. The seals stick well, the coffee comes out great, and cleanup is simple. Definitely worth it if you want to enjoy your own coffee blends and save money in the long run.

Useful
Very useful, but appreciate putting more efforts in the packaging as I received it almost ruined.

Great product, saves money
This product works great and allows you to use your favorite coffee. Don't get me wrong, I love my Nespresso, but I like to be able to drink the coffee I buy here and there as well. Plus, this makes it A LOT cheaper. It is a bit fiddly at first, but once you get the hang of it, there is no problem. Fits easily in the machine as well. I know some of these things don't. Pays to get the old coffee out as soon as possible, as it goes moldy in the pod.

Fine but not great
At first was happy with this option as it feels a lot more environmentally friendly than throwing out the pods, but the foil used to cover the pods is quite thin. I believe that, because it is so thin and delicate, it is not creating the same seal when the water is processed through the pod, creating a more weak coffee, and a lot of remaining water in the pod, and in the machine (in the area where used pods go until emptied). I will likely return and look for a higher quality sealer . I tried putting more coffee in the pod, and less but neither worked particularly well. Itโs fine but unfortunately not as good as the real deal.
