SUNALLY Window Bird Feeder Outdoors, Clear Bird Feeders for Bird Watching

I usually only write cautionary type reviews to give my fellow online shoppers warnings about products I had problems with, but I enjoyed this feeder so much that I decided write a positive review to help those that are on the fence about buying it to give it a chance. First, I particularly like this design where the birds perch along the outer edge and stick their heads in to eat. It gives you a great frontal view of the bird and their backside does the business outside the feeder and not on the food. I saw one of the more expensive feeders actually list that as a negative for this feeder, really? The viewing area is a nice large rectangle that gives a great unobstructed view of both the birds that are feeding as well as through the window the feeder is attached to. The four suction cups do a great job of holding the feeder up as long as you take the time to clean the window surface thoroughly before mounting. I also used a tip I found online that if you add a small dab of olive oil to the suction cups, it will increase their hold. I use this trick with all suction cup holders, especially in the bathroom and it works great. One suction cup is capable of holding the entire feeder up, so as long as you check periodically that all four cups are gripping, the feeder shouldn’t come crashing down. I had a squirrel jump from the deck next door onto the feeder from almost 10 feet away and not break or knock feeder down. In fact, all four suction cups held firmly. However, the squirrel did knock seeds all over the place and made off with a few peanuts. The rectangular shape of this feeder also makes it ideal for stacking. I actually purchased two of them and placed them side by side (before the squirrel strike) and then I had to rearrange them with one mounted below the other, doubling the amount of birds that can feed. The other great thing about the smaller profile of this feeder is that larger birds find it a bit more difficult to land and get inside, so they will usually leave this feeder alone if there is food that is more accessible to them. That gives the smaller birds with their own area to eat in peace. (Those pesky European Starlings) The Mourning Doves have figured out how to get inside the feeder and Blue Jays have no problem grabbing peanuts out of the feeder as well. I’ve only had the feeder a short time, so I don’t know how well it will hold up during storms or long term out in the sun, but if my experience changes for the worse, I will make sure to adjust my rating accordingly. But at this price point I am really happy and will give it 5 stars.

One year after purchase review. Overall the Window Bird Feeder held up but is need of replacement. Surprisingly I do feel the suction cups hold the feeder rather well. A clumsy blue bird few into the feeder and snapped the perch so I have not been able to use that is some time as some of the pieces got lost during the incident. The squirrel did find a way to climb into the feeder and the bird feeder remained on the window. I live in the country with a lot of wild life. One evening I neglected to bring the feeder in and a bear knocked it off the window. I must remember it has to be in by dusk! I will say the main issues I have probably stems from repeated trauma to the unit. The draw slides out and if I do not close the door gently the drawer can slide out and fall. I am going to purchase a new one to ascertain if it is a design issue or not. I am very pleased with the bird feeder. It brings me a lot of joy and some of the birds have come to accept being in my presence. They no longer fly away when seeing me. I think if it can live up the the abuse Mountain living can bring it would be great for the city folks.

It sticks to the window without taking up too much space. It is easy to refill and the birds love it. My kids enjoy watching the birds so we have no complaints. It brings nature front and center.

I purchased this product through an app that identifies deals. I don’t think I would’ve bought it at full price but at half price it was just fine. The hard plastic seems pretty durable. I like that it has a slide in drawer where you can just easily pull that out and refill it. It’s raining outside so I haven’t tested the suction cups yet, but they seem fairly sturdy. Initially, I thought the drawer is pretty small, but then realized it can only be so big and still hold up with the suction cup. However, if I have a lot of bird traffic, that’s not going to last very long. I have another large feeder that holds about a half a gallon of seeds and I have to change that every other day. This will be in a different location, so we’ll see how it works. My one concern is how clear this is particularly on a window so I think I’m going to get some window clings to make sure the birds don’t slam into the glass. I’ve already had that happen with birds of prey, hitting my sliding glass door. (even though it’s under an awning) it’s unpleasant for me and really bad for the birds! Just as a sidenote, the main reason I decided to buy this besides the price is because on the other side of the window where I plan on installing this is my tall cat perch. Basically this is cat TV.

It took me awhile to open the box and when I did I discovered there is a hole in the “roof” of the bird feeder. The feeder did come wrapped well in bubble wrap and there were no pieces floating in the box so I assume this bird feeder was wrapped up and shipped out already broken. Bad quality control!!! So, if you do order - open the box right away so you can check to ensure it isn’t damaged. It was too late for me to return. Otherwise, it was easy to assemble and my cat is looking forward to. It’s visiting the window to eat. :)

Absolutely love this thing. Originally got it for my cat to watch birds but I watch them even more. Very entertaining in the living room, great quality it’s sturdy, cleaning is nothing because the tray comes out. Easy to refill also because of the tray pulling out. You can see everything, I got a 2nd for a friend.

We bought his a while back and have had all kinds of small to medium sized birds visit. The adhesive is super strong as it hasn't budged an inch even throughout the whole winter. It's very easy remove from the window to clean and is really fun to watch. We mostly see Robins and finches but have seen Bluejays visit often as well.

Has stuck to my window for 3 seasons so far. The birds enjoy it and I like watching them in the morning with my coffee. Even the Blue Jays fit on it, and the squirrels don't get into it nearly as much as the one hanging in the tree.
