I’ve fallen in love with Les Mills. I especially like Bodypump. This is the official bar that is used in gyms. I love how quick it is to release the weights and it just feels good in your hands. I can keep up with the video and if I need to add or reduce I can do so without pausing. The weight plates are also nice when using them alone. It’s expensive but it’s worth it for sure. A regular barbell is nice if you’re not switching weights often, but this transition just can’t be beat. Smooth, quick, no extra pieces. Just squeeze and release. I love it

I love my les mills workouts but couldn’t find a quick release bar like this. I decided to spen the extra money and I’m glad I did . I don’t miss a beat because the ease of adding and removing weight is so smooth. I love how the bar rotated so the weights are always balanced.

I have been using the older generation at home with the videos for bodypump. Reality is if you want to keep up with the pace they keep then the older style takes too long to switch weight. This has a nice grip that makes it easier to use too.

You only get the bar and no weights. For almost $400.00 weights at least 1 set of weights for this price. Will be returning as you can use any bar for the Les Mills - Body Pump workout at home.

This bar is a little pricey, but my wife loves it! It’s quick and easy to change the weights while she’s doing her workouts. If you do Les Mill’s Body Pump, this weight bar is definitely worth it

If you want to take the Les Mills online classes (streaming video) then this is exactly the bar you need. This is the same bar (or maybe even newer) that you would use if you went to an in-person class at the gym. You will also need to get a set of the Gen 2 Smart Weights to use with this bar as the bar doesn't come with any actual weights.The bar design allows you to quickly add or remove up to three weight plates on each side. Simply pull out on the red slide and the "gator teeth" retract allowing the weight to be removed. To add weights just slide them into the end of the bar and the teeth will automatically keep them from sliding back out.If you've taken any of the Les Mills classes then you know that fast weight changes are ideal because it allows you to adjust to each exercise while keeping up with the fast paced classes. This bar is literally designed for that type of class, so even though it and the weights cost more than just getting a basic weight bar set it really is worth it if you want to get the full Les Mills experience. The cost is the only reason I've given the bar 4 stars instead of 5 as I suspect it could be sold for less money, especially since most people buying this will also be paying Les Mills to use their course material.This new Gen 2 bar allows the weights to rotate freely while you hold the center of the bar. Supposedly this makes lifting the weights more balanced but personally I have not noticed a huge difference in my short time with the bar. It may come into play more when using lots of heavy weights at the same time since the extra weight will help with keeping them steady while the bar rotates.This is the bar to get if you want the full gym experience in your own home!

I’m so happy to own this. I’ve been doing body pump off and on for 15 years. Now I’m ecstatic to be doing it at home.

Confusing I though it was the whole thing because of the pictures but I only received the bar.
