This is a great product to maintain your drains. If you have a slow drain that has not been maintained, then this may take more than one application. Make sure to let it set and work, overnight worked best for me, the more time it sets, the better it works. This is a great size for several uses; I use it once a month, and still have plenty left. It's easy to use, very effective, and do follow the instructions. Enzyme cleaners work differently than harsh chemical cleaners, you do have to give them time to work. I like that there is no chemical smell, and not corrosive to my plumbing.

I don’t usually write reviews, but Green Gobbler came to our rescue! We had these nasty black drain flies who thought they owned our bathroom drains! Nope little nasty buddies, time to leave. And they did! I had a plumber come and open the initial clog, because all of this made me nauseous. So Green Gobbler took over. In all fairness we had begun with Green Gobbler and it was doing its job very nicely, but my emotional (and overly clogged drain) well being needed that extra push. We’ve been following up with Green Gobbler on a regular basis to keep the hatching eggs at bay. I really feel good about this product. It’s my friend that has my back. Quietly he stays in the bathroom and comes to my rescue upon demand. He never complains, just does his job! Always smells clean and always takes care of business! Thank you Green Gobbler! You are everything as advertised. You were easy to use, the quality of your product is evident by the modicum of quantity needed. I did have it pretreated with a plumber because I was freaking out and needed the clog removed immediately. Green Gobbler had a big follow up job removing the organic nastiness in my drains. Ok, my final thoughts, GREEN GOBBLER worked, it has a pleasant fragrance, it was simple to use and I didn’t have to worry about my grandchild being around the residual air wafted smells. I did not have to use a big quantity, it removed those nasty flies and is continuing to do so Thank you Green Gobbler!

I’ve used this drain cleaner multiple times now, and it’s become my go-to. It does what it’s supposed to—helps keep things flowing and cuts down on buildup without needing anything harsh. I like that it’s more of a maintenance solution instead of going straight to the heavy-duty stuff every time. Biggest thing is I keep coming back to it, which says a lot. If it didn’t work, I wouldn’t bother buying it again. Overall, reliable and easy to use. One of those products that just quietly does its job.

I had a stubborn kitchen clog - slow drain for the last 3 years. Some cleaners would work partially and give small relief. But this one using 3 double doses over 2 days, and the drain is clear. My clean out was unable to be opened and calling a plumber would be quite high as this is behind a washing machine with very little clearance. Plan to buy more as the house is 50 years old.

The drain in the small bar style sink in my rec room has been clogging up every 2 years, necessitating calling in a drain unclogging company. 2 years ago this cost $240 and several hours of my time lugging putrid water to the toilet to dispose of it. I've been running hot water through this sink every month, following it with bleach, and then more hot water the next day. Yet this month it started clogging. Hot water quit draining and backed up into the sink. When the sink was half full it started draining slowly until empty. So the drain was still working enough to get this drain cleaner to the clogged areas. With the drain working slowly I poured 16 oz of this green fluid down the drain and left it overnight. The next morning the drain ran fully open immediately. Wow! Wow! This was fully worth the money I spent on it. I chose this product because it is identified firstly as a drain cleaner, not something else. Secondly it uses enzymes not lye or bleach, so if I had to call a plumber in there would not be a problem of dangerous materials in the pipes. Finally, I needed a different approach, bleach wasn't working. A.I. speculated that the problem is grease deposition inside the drain pipes, and urged use of enzymatic drain unclogger, and here we are. It was so easy to use that it was fun. Yes, for me this was fun. Is this sad?

We had gotten a utility sink for the basement because we feed a number of animals and wanted to wash out their dishes downstairs. For months, it worked well. After a while, we noticed that our new sink downstairs had begun to drain slowly and, before long, not to drain much at all. We went back to washing the pet dishes upstairs in the kitchen, but in so doing we became aware that the water running in the kitchen upstairs was also backing up in the downstairs sink and not going out to the sewer system. My husband feared that our concrete basement floor would need to be jackhammered to fix the problem and repoured, which could cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. Until we could afford to hire someone to look at it, we reverted to doing all dishes in the upstairs bathroom sink, which was not connected to either the kitchen or downstairs drains. Meanwhile, he poured dish detergent in the sink several times, which seemed to help, but it would just back up again a day or two later. Eventually, I suggested that we try this product, Green Gobbler. He was skeptical but agreed, so we followed the instructions on the product. The next day, we noticed the utility sink was completely drained. He ran water into it for about 10 minutes without any sign of water backing up. He decided to treat the kitchen sink as well, and all sinks are running freely now with no back-ups. Two and a half weeks later, we still have three usable sinks at very little cost.

Smells nice, and it feels nice to be trying to clean up a problem, but I'm genuinely not sure that this did anything at all for my drain. Haven't tried it on hair, I've only tried it on *the sludge* that slows drains down.

Green Gobbler works great. I have a sink that I need to pour Draino or some other product that removes clogs often. I read reviews on green gobbler and liked that it has enzymes that target the biofilm that grows in the pipes, whereas the other products do nothing to remove the biofilm. I found this product to be very good at keeping my drains working well.
