Cheap and cheerful, sorted my gaming chair out as the factory cylinder was flacid 😂 The replacement is nice and stable, went for a slightly longer stroke as the original height wasn't that great. Fits perfectly as expected, need to use a decent hammer to smash the out one out depending how long its been in there, mine took a little fight to get out. But fitting the replacement was a walk in the park. Perfect

First of all, this is a great product and really strong. I bought it for my old DX Racer King chair and it incredibly strong, and more than capable of holding my 22 Stone self without issue. However, and this is probably my fault but I've never bought a gas strut before, it doesn't sit in the base as far down as the original and it is much bigger. Because of this minimum height I can barely get my legs under my desk, and at maximum height I can't touch the floor. It makes my chair like a bar stool. And at 6 foot 1 inch, I'm not exactly short. Good and strong though and great value.

Worked just fine as a replacement for my chair, just check the dimensions and length of your existing cylinder to match.

If you need extra height, this is the cylinder to buy. I purchased this office chair replacement cylinder because I needed one that's taller than average. Our original cylinder kept sinking, and since we're using the chair at an assembly workstation, the extra height was important. This heavy-duty Class 4 gas lift (12" to 18" adjustable with a 1,000 lb capacity) has been perfect for the job. It raises the chair higher than a standard cylinder and has no trouble supporting heavier loads. On a funny note, it has so much lifting force that my wife, who weighs under 120 pounds, can't get it to compress. It actually gives me a chuckle every time she tries.
