I painted my 2 end tables that were dark brown and the result is amazing! No sanding or preparing other than dusting them off. The paint was very easy to work with. I did 2 coats but 1 would have been fine. This color is graphite satin. I had glass made for the tops. Would highly recommend this product.

This paint with the lacquer seal makes it so easy and what a quality product. The small paint can go a long way. Painted the entire table and bench top ✅

Unfortunately was only able to open today so can’t return but this Athenian Black color which on the site looks black it is definitely heavy on the purple. Should be called Indigo.at the very least. Am now stuck with 2cans since I missed return date of 10/13

I would not buy this again. It looks like a deep purple when I first put it on, but it does dry a nice even color of black. I just didn't care for it, and I didn't like painting and seeing purple, I kept feeling like I had to paint over it again.

I'm just a DIY'er, in this case, building and painting, a couple of speaker cabinets. Having said that, I'm not a complete novice when it comes to painting (but typically, pretty bad). This is a relatively expensive paint, and I was quite apprehensive, as to, if I'd need one or two cans of paint. As it turned out, I was wrapped (overjoyed) that the coverage was very close to what it said on the can, and I ended up applying 4 coats, rather than the anticipated 3. (I expect all the primer coats (3) helped seal the surface and improve the coverage, even though it was white.) The paint's colour is Athenian Black, but what's that? It's hard to tell from pictures, but I would describe it as, NOT your 'deep jet-black', but something _leaning_ towards the grayer side, with _maybe_ a touch of brown. It very much compliments the typical black of satin-finished, electronic gear. And the satin finish, definitely has no gloss to it. Because of the effort I'd put into constructing the build, I did not want to skimp on the (paint) finish, so I bought an expensive (for me) brush to go with the job. I was surprised by how easily the paint went on, and its opaqueness (yes, I was using black, but wherever it went, there was next to no, transparency to it, especially once past the white primer). Surprisingly, the Annie Sloan paint washed out easily after each coat. I did not dilute the paint, but after each coat went on, it 'relaxed' helping conceal the brush marks. I also, took the time and effort, of carefully sanding and cleaning up (the dust), before each coat. After allowing extra, final drying time, I found the paint to be much more robust than I expected (even though this is what the manufacturer claimed). I've found that typically, a freshly painted surface would remain 'delicate' for quite an extended drying-out period, but this was not the case here. I was able to place relatively heavy stuff on the freshly painted surface without it leaving damaging marks. Also, scraping stuff across the surface, left only dull surface blemishes (on the satin finish); certainly not what I expect of a freshly painted surface. By the looks of it, this Annie Sloan paint will do justice to, not just the looks, but also the knocks, my speakers will endure.

Easy To Use well worth the money minimal effort beautiful when applied

Has to be one of the best paints I have used - straight on bare wood, very very light sand then second coat was a dream! Smooth finish - so impressed. I know they never look like the picture but the colour wasnt quite true but Im happier with the result so a win! The seller is lovely - little hand written messages of thanks and a little surprise too! I would definitely use the seller again - and luckily for me they are situated nearby so I can go to their shop! All in all a great purchase

Nice thick paint. Rich and luxurious. A choice of different colours with paints for different uses. The paint took/covered very well and only needed one coat. It has no smell and drys quickly for convenience. It was a little pricey but for the results it is worth it. Satisfied with item, would buy again.

This had to be the worst Annie Sloan paint ever !!! Rubbish coverage even after stirring to the point of tennis elbow … avoid
