Item as described. I like the youtube video. Is perfect for a child 5 and up . I tried to use it during potty training a 3 year old but didn't work because the child wanted to play with it all the time. I would purchase this in the future for homework time.

This has reduced tears and the begging for more screen time by almost 100%! I set the limit I am comfortable with and my son has the full responsibility of managing his own time with this timer. He can pause it and go play. The timer gives him a sense of control & freedom over when and how long he will use his screen time throughout the day. The pause ability has increased his non-screen play. My son picked out the timer, so it might be one of the factors of why he responds well to it.PRO: A child or adult can easily pause and unpause the timer with a simple touch.There is a yellow warning light to give them time to finish up before the timer goes off. This is so IMPORTANT.Easy to program and set.CON: No "on" and "off" switch--- leading to having to change batteries often. One trick around this is to take the batteries when not in use. But it's frustrating having to screw and unscrew the battery compartment every day.

I bought this as a gift for my grandson to help him with his time management. It arrived at his house and the timer never worked correctly. He was so bummed out I bought another one rather than make his parents go through the hassle of returning it since they live far away from a UPS or return center. Buy something else.

My son has ADHD and he literally depends so much on this little rocket. he loves how this rocket lets him know how much time he has to get ready for school or anything when we need to leave somewhere. It has been a game changer. I highly recommend if your child depends very much on needing to know time and or has ADHD and is fixated on what needs to happen next and when at all times.

I got this practical countdown timer for my 3-year-old nephew. At first, he didn’t really grasp the whole countdown concept, but after a few weeks of using it, he caught on. It’s flashy enough to keep his interest, but he quickly realized it’s not a toy. Setting up and controlling the timer is super easy for the adults. Being able to control the volume and mute it completely is great to have.The only downside is that the lights don’t light up exactly when you’d expect. With only three lights, it’s tough to make it perfect for everyone. It would be nice if the yellow light came on closer to the end time for a better warning. Also, the button at the top of the rocket is a bit counterintuitive—it makes you want to tap it, but doing so actually stops the timer. Pretty durable build and hasn’t broken yet after a few falls and tumbles.
