- LCR-ST1 10kHz LCR Meter Tweezers, Smart SMD Component Tester

Admittedly, I haven't used it a whole bunch, since I have other tools in the arsenal, but I saw an electronic repair person use these and I was intrigued. It's great for doing quick on-board tests. It's accurate enough for quick measurements and finding opens and shorts and components way out of tolerance. I do like the auto flipping screen. It's a nice design touch. For the price it's a good value and the battery life is decent. It's a good, portable solution for testing caps and resistors and coils out in the field.

I’m very impressed how well this little unit works. Very accurate, easy to use, comes with a very nice case and holds a nice charge. I have been very impressed with FNIRSI lately and this meter is definitely one for the collection!!

It is well made and user friendly. The firmware is updateable so that's a plus. Works well but has limitations. If your are a hobbyist or DIY'er this is a good choice but for Pro use, no. Limitations are few choices of test voltage and test frequency and auto range is glichy. Doesn't always correctly identify the component under test. Download and installation of firmware update program needs better written English instruction. Once installed the actual device update is very easy.

Electrical engineering professor here. This is a FANTASTIC value. Other than having to set the language to English (easy), it is super easy to use. The screen is bright and clear, and I have tested it with precision resistance and capacitance standards and it is at least as good as the published specs. Really great. I have not used it much, but am debugging some designs now and my first impression is that it is amazing. I will update this review if I learn anything more, good or bad, but based on what I've seen today, I'd order one for each bench!!

For the money, a great unit. Used to measure audio cables. Compared to a high end Fluke meter, it’s measurements appear to quite accurate. Great for quick in circuit testing of various components.

Immediately after unboxing, the unit displayed readings even when the probes were left open and not connected to any component. In Auto mode, it continuously switched between component types such as resistance and diode detection, while the displayed measurement values fluctuated constantly. Other than basic settings, the documentation provides no information regarding zero calibration, open/short calibration, or any other calibration procedure. In Auto mode, photos and videos of properly functioning units show a large "OPEN" message in the center of the display when the probes are left unconnected. The unit I received does not show this indication. Instead, it continuously cycles between different component types and displays unstable, fluctuating readings even with the probes left open In this condition, the instrument appears unusable for practical measurements and raises concerns about instability or improper calibration. I understand that low-cost LCR meters may exhibit some degree of measurement error and performance limitations. However, this behavior goes beyond normal tolerance for a measurement instrument. The unit appears to be either poorly calibrated or defective.

Where have this been all my life! This small device is the greatest tool in my lab! It automatically detects the passive device and tells you the value. It’s so easy to use, features resistoance, capacitance, inductance readings with high accuracy. It’s very ergonomic and very thoughtfully designed. Better than your traditional multimeter and is a MUST HAVE!

Convient little tool and helps you diagnose issues quickly! Unsure as to accuracy but works well enough that I was able to fix a broken bassinet within minutes. Very happy. Seems to work great. (Ignore the messy table. Haven't had time to clean up)

These are awesome nice and small with inductors included in the test I find them to be more accurate than my uni t one and the case is a great addition to keep them dust free and safe.The unit has a 3 set frequency test condition which if it is slightly out you can set a different frequency and I have tried this and it does work quite well,There is a spare set of tips and they are right angled,I am happy to give these 5 stars as I think they are awesome.
