A Staple in My Hair Care Routine for Years
I've been using **PURA D'OR Original Gold Label Anti-Thinning Shampoo** for a long time, and it's one of the few hair care products I've continued to repurchase. Consistency matters with hair care, and this shampoo has earned a permanent place in my routine.🌿 **What I Loved:*** **Clinically tested** formula designed to support thinning hair* Enriched with **biotin, argan oil, and botanical extracts*** Cleanses thoroughly without leaving my scalp feeling dry* Hair feels healthier, stronger, and more manageable after regular use* Pleasant, natural scent that's not overpowering* Suitable for everyday use💆 **Long-Term Experience:**After using this shampoo consistently over the years, I've noticed my hair looks fuller and healthier overall. While no shampoo can work miracles overnight, I appreciate that this one focuses on maintaining healthy hair and scalp rather than making unrealistic claims.💡 **Pro Tip:** For the best results, be consistent. Give the shampoo a minute or two to sit on your scalp before rinsing, and pair it with a good conditioner to help keep your hair soft and manageable.💰 **Value for Money:** Excellent. It's a premium shampoo, but the quality of the ingredients and the long-term results make it well worth the investment.**Bottom Line:** As a **long-time customer**, I can confidently say this shampoo has delivered consistent quality and noticeable results. If you're looking for a well-formulated shampoo to support healthier-looking, stronger hair, **PURA D'OR Gold Label** is an excellent choice and one I continue to trust. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best my hair has ever felt!
Where has this shampoo been all my life? I was looking for something without Sodium Laurel Sulfate and tried this. It doesn't lather much, which I expected and is fine with me. My hair is natrually wavy with some frizz and texture (I'm blond color treated). It risnses out easily and feels clean without feeling stripped. I use my regular conditioner and curling cream, but my waves look SO MUCH BETTER! I have more curls and waves, my hair is smoother with less frizz and no brassiness to my blonde. I've only been using it about two weeks, and I wash my hair 2x3 times per week depending on activitiy. My hair feels thick and full, not heavy. It's too early to tell if it is helping it get thicker, but even if it doesn't, this is my new shampoo forever. I even got my husband using it.

A great choice, more convenient than others
First off I will say that I have tried a few other shampoos to prevent hair loss or to try to regrow some areas. While none of them are quick solutions, I have had some success with these types of products, where I have less loose hair that falls out, and I even notice some new hairs in my widows peak. So these products do help, compared to regular shampoos, such as Head&Shoulders or Suave, or whatever. I believe my use of Head&Shoulders or just liquid soap while in the military with very little hair instigated much of my hair loss. I have the receding hair lines and a very thin patch on the back top. So there is no reason to believe these type of shampoos are just snake oil, they do help hair growth/health. Which one you pick is the question. After trying about three others I was getting frustrated with the application instructions or the way the shampoo left my hair feeling. Some are already paired with a conditioner, or others say you can use any conditioner, but I have never used conditioner before, seems like a waste of time, unless apparently you have long hair or use a shampoo that leaves your hair with a dry sticky feeling. The worst part about most of these shampoos is it tells you to put it your hair for a few minutes, then rinse and repeat for a few more minutes. Then you can use a conditioner after that. I am not motivated enough to put it in my hair outside the shower or turn the water on and off while standing around, and waiting with the water on is a waste (in a 5 year drought here in CA). Aside from the all natural ingredients and helping me prevent hair loss, this is the best part about the pura d'or for me. It says to apply once, lather and leave in for about 2 minutes then rinse and you're done. So you're not wasting more of the shampoo, water, or time with reapplications. The next best thing I like about this product is that it is concentrated, it only requires about half a pump for my hair which is about 2 inches long on top and tapered down. It will last a long time and the bottle is small, and no hassle with a cap in the shower. The first time I put a whole pump in my hair and I had suds running down all over.I have found a couple not as favorable things about this shampoo. To get a good quick lather it seems I need clean hair to start with. If I do not wash my hair first the pura d'or will not lather even if I add more of it with my hair wet. If I wash my hair first with any shampoo then the pura d'or lathers easily its wonderful. When I say I pre-wash, its just a quick shampoo application and then immediately rinse it out, no waiting. This could just be the way it works in my hair, because the hair is kind of thin and I sweat quite a bit, it can get a little greasy I suppose between washings. The second thing I noticed is that it leaves my hair feeling differently than I have ever felt before, almost squeaky clean, not dry, just odd to me. Its honestly fine, and the feeling is gone once its actually dry, and I had no issues with my scalp drying out either. To kill two birds with one stone, for my quick pre-wash that I do for reasons described above, I use a shampoo that has Moroccan oil in it. This counteracts the squeaky clean feeling in my hair from the pura d'or. Then I don't use a conditioner. If I didn't pre-wash my hair to get the better lathering effect, then I wouldn't bother with anything to condition the hair, because it feels fine with just this shampoo, just different.I would recommend this shampoo, especially for those of us that are impatient.

Very Happy to Recommend this to Other Women!!!
UPDATE: FEBRUARY 12, 2017- My Two Year PURA D'OR Anniversary. Don't think I have ever stayed with one product for so long. It still is working for me!!!QUICK REVIEW: This shampoo helped regrow my postmenopausal (plus recent hysterectomy) thinning hair. It has no silicones (silicones clog pores) but you might need a no silicone conditoner for detangling afterwards. Use it faithfully for at least 3 months. Take before and after pictures to see how your hair is progressing. Read my full story when you have time. It will tell you how the first year went. Also, I have just purchased and left a review for Pura D'OR Deep Moisturizing Conditioner, which pairs nicely with the shampoo especially of you have dry, curly, or hard to comb out hair. It also is my pick if you are used to regular shampoo and conditoner because it will gives hair more "slip" but does not weigh it down. If you have hair that goes flat in one day (fine and oily) then go with the regular "blue label" conditioner. I am very impressed with all of these products. Please email me if you have questions and please like my review if it helped you. I PAID FULL PRICE AND WAS NOT COMPENSATED FOR MY REVIEW. I have no interest or affiliation with the manufacturer or seller.MY STORY: I was skeptical when I purchased this shampoo 3 months ago. So skeptical that I took a before and after picture to see if it was working. I had pretty full hair until I became of a certain age. Slowly I could see my hair thinning, especially in the front. I went to a dermatologist who told me there was not much I could do. I wanted to tell myself that it wasn't true but I would not only find hair all over the shower but everywhere else, too. As far as me, I shampoo daily and have for many years. This shampoo has a pleasant smell (reminds me of incense) but not overpowering or lingering. You will probably need a conditioner afterwards as it appears to be very cleansing. I have colored hair and it did not strip the color. My hair now has body, much more shine and is noticeably thicker. I think you can see that by my before and after pictures. I hope you will give it a try before you give up on your hair.SIX MONTH UPDATE: After six months my hair has stayed thicker with no hair loss. I do continue to use Pura D'or Premium at least three days a weeks. I do switch off with low poo shampoo or apple cider vinegar a few times a week also. Like many women, my hair feels dryer or oiler as the seasons and weather changes. Also, even with great products sometimes switching it up is good! By the way, it pays to stick with this shampoo exclusively for at least three months. It takes time for hair to grow and to see a difference. Hope the update can help someone who is agonizing over thinning hair.Picture: I am adding two pictures (3&4) taken today 7/3/2015. I am 6 months out from first using this shampoo and about 5 months out of using the Pura D'or conditioner, which I left a review for today. Finally. As you may notice I need a touch up and also I am holding my hair back tightly like the before picture. The last one is how I normally wear my hair today. No more shortie bangs to TRY to cover the bald spot(never works!) Any questions please ask.ONE YEAR UPDATE: I placed my first order of Pura d'or Gold Label on 1/7/2015. So, I am pretty close to using it for one year. I took a few pictures today. I don't know if I really have any improvement over the last 6 months, maybe a little. Certainly, I have much improvement over my very first picture. My hair was broken off and very sparse at least an inch or two in. My scalp looked red and a bit angry. My fine front hair is definately a little longer at this point and you can't see my scalp anymore. My hair dresser said my hair was overall a bit thicker in December. This is the first time she has said that and I ask her EVERY time!! I have gotten used to using this shampoo which has no silicones and makes your hair a bit tangled before conditioning. I was so used to the slickness of silicones that I figured that this shampoo was drying out my hair. It was not. I have learned that the silicones can build up and also lead to hairloss. So it is a reason to keep using this shampoo and conditioner or at least one that is silicone free. I do recommend trying the Pura d'or Conditioner. It is very light, untangles my hair and a good match with this shampoo. I have left a review for it, if you are interested in looking at it. [...]

Great for aging/thinning hair
My husband & I have been using the PURA D'OR brand for years. It's SLS free, has DHT blocking ingredients, & is gentle on the hair and scalp. This particular "1.5 concentrated advanced therapy" shampoo has helped our hair thickness even more! This plus a quality collagen powder supplement have restored thickness to the point where one cannot see my scalp thru my hair anymore.BTW, the "1.5 concentrated" doesn't mean one must add water; it means there's 50% more of the herbs & DHT blocking ingredients. Also, if you don't like the "herby/earthy/piney" scent, don't worry bc it doesn't last beyond the shower.

Good for Sensitive Scalps, But DON’T Expect Miracles for Hair Thinning
My husband has gone through a couple of bottles of this shampoo, so this review is based on more than just a first impression. The biggest question most shoppers have is whether it actually helps with thinning hair. Unfortunately, while he enjoyed using it, we didn’t notice a meaningful difference in hair thickness or new hair growth. What he did like was how gentle it felt on his scalp. It cleaned his hair well without irritation, and the natural earthy scent was pleasant without being overpowering. His hair felt clean after each wash, although the shampoo is much thinner and more watery than most, so it’s easy to pour out more than you intended. The lather is decent, but not overly rich, which is common with sulfate free shampoos. His hair felt soft after washing and never overly stripped or dry.The biggest downside is the price. It’s made with quality botanical ingredients, but because we didn’t see noticeable improvement in hair thinning, it was difficult to justify the cost.TIP: Pour slowly. The formula is quite runny, and it’s easy to use more than you need.Overall, I’d recommend this to someone looking for a gentle sulfate free shampoo for a sensitive scalp or fine hair. If you’re expecting dramatic hair regrowth, I would keep your expectations realistic. We would recommend it for its gentle cleansing, but not specifically as a solution for hair loss.

Encouraging
I don't know yet if the hair is increasing but I do know for a fact that much less hair is falling out and I had my coworker mention that my hair looks a lot thicker. He asked what I am doing. I am combining this with nutrition because I know I was low in things like B12, D3 and Zinc and may well have also been low in biotin. I am also eating pumpkin seeds and 1 teaspoon of wheat germ (for spermidine because it has studies where people stopped shedding hair after 3 months) I added in a teaspoon of millet to my morning oats with my flaxseed, and wheat germ, because there is a study that hair gets thicker with millet. Something worked.

A good sulphate free shampoo for day to day use, but did not do it for me on hair growth
Bought it firstly because it is sulphate free & am looking for shampoos for hair growth. Used for 7-8 months daily. Washes very well, even for oily hair.Smells pleasant and gives my hair a little more volume and texture through out the day, just did not notice any hair growth. Did notice less hair fall though.
