Streamlight 88132 ProTac HL 6 5,300-Lumen Flashlight, Black

This Streamlight ProTac HL 6 has become my go-to flashlight and lives in my truck as part of my everyday carry setup. I may not need it daily, but I trust it completely when I do. The brightness is the first thing that stands out. At 5,300 lumens and 80,000 candela, this light is extremely powerful. It easily illuminates large areas and reaches significant distance. There are plenty of demonstration videos online showing just how capable it is, and in person, it’s just as impressive. Build quality is excellent. The body feels solid and durable, and the grip texture provides confidence even with wet or sweaty hands. The anti-roll head is a thoughtful design feature that keeps it from moving when set down on uneven surfaces. It also appears well sealed and ready for rain or wet environments without concern. The only “complaint,” if it can be called that, is that it’s so bright it can temporarily blind you if it reflects off a close or highly reflective surface. That’s more a testament to its power than a flaw, but it’s something to be aware of when using it indoors or in tight spaces. Overall, this is a high-performance flashlight built for reliability. It’s excellent for keeping in a truck or at home and would also be well suited for law enforcement, first responders, or anyone who needs serious illumination in demanding conditions.

Sturdy and very bright, this light is great if you need to project a beam a fair distance (across fields, a lake, etc.). Not overly heavy. Rechargeable batteries are very convenient. I have two now, one for the house and another for the car.

This is a review for the ProTac HL 6 I’ve owned a lot of flashlights over the years, and the Streamlight ProTac HL 6 is one of those products that just inspires confidence every time you pick it up. It’s an absolute workhorse. If you’re considering this or the HL 5, the HL 6 is noticeably brighter and throws an incredible amount of light. For this size and lumen class, I honestly don’t think you’ll find a better-built or more capable flashlight. It’s powerful, dependable, and feels like a tool that’s meant to be used—not babied. What really sets Streamlight apart, though, is the company behind the product. They’re based in Pennsylvania, and in my experience their customer service is second to none. Years ago I had an HL 5 that developed an issue after I accidentally dropped it. Even though the flashlight was around 10 years old, Streamlight stood behind their product and completely took care of me. That level of support is incredibly rare these days, and it’s the reason I continue to buy their products without hesitation. A company that builds outstanding products and backs them with exceptional customer service has earned my loyalty. If you’re looking for a serious, high-performance flashlight that you can count on for years, I highly recommend the ProTac HL 6.

Very bright light! I work the night shift and this flashlight works perfectly lighting up extremely dark areas. I also get lots of comments of how bright and how well it works. I’ve also accidentally dropped it a few times and it still works with no issues. It is a little heavy at first, but once you get used to it, you can’t go without it. It is worth the money. Very easy to cycle between the settings. I’ve bought several different brands of flashlights and this one is brighter, lasts longer, and functions the best. Highly recommend if you are looking for a very bright and durable flashlight. I’ve had no issues or complaints.

Streamlight does it again! An absolute fantastic product that will light up your life! The system comes with rechargeable batteries (it does take a while to charge them up). The good news is they provide you with a dual charing cable. The brightness is over the top. It has the ten tap system for programming. It sounds complicated but you can watch a simple You tube video on it and it is straight forward. The rubber grip area is nice as tit gives a good grip as well as not being too cold in the winter. This is my truck light so having the light there when I need it is important. It also is not as huge as the 3 or 4 D cell mag lights that I use to carry. Overall I am sure this will get a lot of use.

Extremely bight and rechargeable love it

Great and bright working flashlight. The light area radiates so much heat it burnt my seat! It's a good size, fits pretty much anywhere.

I've used Streamlight products for decades and like them because they are reliable, well built and a value. Take care of the light and it will take care of you. Does exactly what it is advertised to do. If you want a BRIGHT light this is the one to get. I live out in the sticks Lol with no city or street lights and when I turn this on you can light up the property easily to the back creek about 150 yards away no problem. I've shined the beam into some tree tops at least 300 yards away and you can see the tops of the trees very easily. If your going to use this at close distances (20ft and under) on full it is going to be too bright so pop it down on low or you'll blind yourself for a few seconds until your eyes adjust. The head does get hot but that's explained up front in the product description and you can still operate the light but it does get hot. If you want a super bright light, this will fit your needs very well.
